  If you decide to avoid the update, you can, but you must have identity of Blackberry on your device. Have you installed? You can check in the management of your application. If not, download from the internet and open the application. After that says 'close' which means do not update connection your BBID. Then, you can close the application and open your BBM. I had this experience recently too, maybe you should try.

• BBM BBID update server not available

  Once you switch your BBM profile to a new device the previous device will not receive messages more, they're going on the new device.

• BBM BBID one already managing two PINS

  I have Pearl 9105 and BBM on android. By releasing the BBM on android, I stupidly inserted the same BBID since my Pearl to BBM on android. Now I have two different PINS working separately with different contact list (Yes, I use it for different purposes, one for bussines and one for the private sector).

  Now I want to change a BBID on Android so it will be a different BBID. I tried to replace a BBID on android, but there at the same time change the BBID on my Pearl. And vice versa if I change to Pearl, there change my BBID android too. Help, please

  Easy, create a new BBID second with an email account different for one of the two devices.

  The 9105 Pearl keep the same PIN you have now BlackBerrys change not pines, it is hardcoded for the material.

  Android will change with a new or different BBID pine. It will create as a new PIN for this feature, like on Android, the PIN number is assigned with any new BBID again or if you wipe and reload the operating system on the Adroid device.

  So what you're looking for is quite possible, HOWEVER, you will have the same list of contacts and BBM conversations on both devices. It will act as two very different people.

  The backup can be restored only on older versions of BBM for BBOS. Especially not on BBM for Android. If this doesn't get you anywhere.

  1. using the "BOLD", open each contact and view their QRCode.
  2. Use the phone Android, in BBM, add the contact with the camera scanning the QRCode.
  3. Repeat for each contact.

  If for some reason you cannot view the QRCode on the "BOLD", then you must update the BBM version on it.

  two solution.

  1. create a new BBID2 (for example using the browser of your "BOLD" or a PC)

  I used a Bold 9900 for work, managed by our BES5 servers.  Also used the phone for personal use, including BBM contacts.  I need is no longer to use the 9900 for work so decided to get a Z10 for personal use.

  Company does not have BES10 so I took a conscious decision to get a personal phone that wouldn't be synchronized with desktop systems.

  I had originally used the migration tools Office set up my personal Z10 with the contacts, calendar, etc. of my company 9900.  Everything transferred very well, with the exception of BBM, as it took my BB ID, which is managed by the company BES5 server to connect my device ID 9900's at my work email address.

  I worked my departmental support of BES, but I am not convinced that they are able to get my BB ID extracted their BES server.  Y at - it none confirmed so that I can get my existing (old 9900) BBM (BB ID) setup on my Z10, or what I have to wipe completely and start again with a new ID of BB?

  Thanks for the link - it was PART of the solution.

  The other missing piece was weird and may be difficult to explain:

  (2) after the update of my BB ID ID (email address) as suggested above, I made my Z10 was on WiFiand re-tried my BBM configuration.  Via WiFi, installing BBM surveys has been able to connect and complete.

  Apparently the WiFi allows the service to bypass my cellular provider (Rogers).  Without WiFi, the service routes through Rogers - and since my old profile was registered (rightly) as BES managed, he tried to forward the request of my BES company, who would not allow.  With WiFi, my phone is directly connected to the Blackberry, gets his BB ID, and (apparently?) - pushes the update to the Rogers BIS servers.  At least that's what seems to be the case...

  No matter what the actual technical problem, it seems that for me to get my old BBM servers of our company BES5 ID, use the WiFi to complete the migration was critical.

  I had a bb curve 8520 which I forwarded to my daughter that I had a curve 9320. When I implemented the new phone, I used the same email that I got on the 8520. A few days that I have improved the bbm and so does my daughter. Some how his contacts then appeared on my phone n bbm does not work on the 8520. the icon is ther it said installed but does not work. I called virgin who said that they were sorted and bbm should be resumed after 24 hours but is not. How can I fix?

  I guess you have already BIS on both of your devices, so first of all restart your device by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a minute then reinsert back .after restarting check if it allows,

  If the problem persists then register your handheld computer on your corporate network, for the help, see this KB:

  (receive a recording message in your message)  After receiving another battery pull reboot, then try again.

• BBM BBM constant invites

  For the last 20 minutes, I had a huge spam of BBM invite people at random, every minute a pop up!

  The device has a previous owner? Is it possible that you have installed an application that has acquired your PIN?

  Go on my own experience, I expect the rare PIN message or BBM invite from time to time. Pins are just numbers, and someone can send random messages like robo-calling a Bank, phone numbers.

  I wouldn't change your BBID. Search the applications you use and investigate this possible violation of privacy. And start ignoring and see if the prompt stop.

  If I uderstand, I think you're misunderstanding BBID.

  The BBID is your BlackBerry account for BBM, BlackBerry World applications and all the services that you can purchase from BlackBerry.

  E-mail is delivered to an Inbox e-mail account, and then download or sync'd with client device where the e-mail account has been put in place on the device. This has nothing to do with BBID. If you have an e-mail account configured on both devices, you will get all the messages on the two devices as long as the accounts are set up as IMAP or AE. (Do not set it up as POP3 on your systems or devices.)

  If the terms of e-mail you start, suggests visiting wikipedia or another reference and reading to get the gist of the differences.

• BBM, I CAN'T LOG MY BBM

• BBM stuck to the configuration of opening BBM screen after Dev Alpha updated SDK 10.0.9.1675 gold update

  Just updated to 1675.  Tried to open the BBM and BBM configuration screen flies upwards and the spinner continues to turn for always with the message 'Opening BBM'.

  BBM got working again!

  Go to settings-> Blackberry ID and re-connect with your BBID.  BBM opened again and it associated to your ID Blackberry and everything of fine.
