  I'll try to explain as much as I can...

  On my 9360, I saved my bbm contacts list back up on my memory card, but I think that cats history record in the unit? ive never "supported" the story of my memory card, it should be on the device shudnt it? In any case I want to know is that I did a security wipe on my phone that is supposed to erase all the data, I was wondering if a security wipe would be authorized that story, and also after I did the wipe I "restored" my contacts back upward bbm on my memory and restored card will only contacts and NOT history? Or bbm contacts backup contain the contacts and history for each of the contacts?

  If you already verified and that you are unable to locate your BBM icon, then you should try reinstalling the BlackBerry Messenger application, it may be useful.

  To do it from your home screen to go to Options > device > Application Management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  If the unit you get the same message then please connect your device and run Desktop Software, click Application > wait until the list update your applications, scroll down and look for BlackBerry Messenger on the right, you will get a Mark Cross X click above and apply to delete BlackBerry Messenger completely from your device, your device will restart , after restart, click on the new link and download BBM.

  Thank you for your help, I tried to delete - reboot - reinstall nothing helped, I finished restoring the factory settings, and then software update operating system via the Desktop Manager before you attempt to upgrade from bbm, all now works well again...

  I don't have the technical knowledge - no knowledge at all - so I can't explain why this solution, on the whole, worked:

  I disengaged the cellular network and then deleted the bbm application, then played reset material, re-installed the bbm on the BB site (not via appworld - doesn't like that), then disengaged the network once again, performed a hard reset, recommit to the network and everything returned to normal - the icon of bbm is alive again.
