  • iCloud contacts do not match the iPhone contacts.

My iCloud contacts are not all my contacts from the iPhone.  I use the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10 PC.  Same situation on my Mac with El Capitan and the latest Safari and Firefox browsers.  Refreshing Contacts in iCloud changes nothing.

Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there and whether the device or the computer. That should indicate if the device or computer is not synchronizing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing. If the device, go to settings/iCloud and do the foregoing. You can also try connecting to iCloud and then reconnect.

  • Contacts do not sync with iPhone

    Hi-

I have recently updated to Snow Leopard to El Capitan (five operating systems in a jump!  Yikes!).  Little by little, I'm working on the kinks...  And here's one:

When I change an element in a field on a contact in the Contacts, the change appears (if any) on the web at https://www.icloud.com/#contacts, but it does not appear on my iPhone (5 c; iOS 9.2.1) even a week later.

    On my iPhone:

    Settings-> iCloud-> Contacts-> in the

Settings-> Contacts-> [I don't see anything that could relate to this problem.]

On my MacBook Pro (mid-2009; 10.11.3 MacOS):

Sync with iTunes 12.3.2.35 works but does not solve this problem.

iTunes-> my iPhone-> settings (left panel)-> info-> Contacts Sync says:

Your contacts are being synchronized with your iPhone on the airwaves to iCloud.

On-line synchronization settings can be changed on your iPhone.

I would like your suggestions for this research problem.

It's working now.  I fiddled with the settings using http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html as a guide.  The thing that did it, I was, on my iPhone, I got to settings-> Mail, Contacts, calendars-> GMail-> Contacts-> IT.  I turned it off.  I think that's what I did.   In a few minutes, I had duplicate for each contact entries on my iPhone.  For contacts that I had changed on my MacBook Pro, an entry was old, a new.

Back on my Mac, I selectedContacts-> map-> Look for duplicates... It found 930 duplicates.  I chose to merge, then manually modified entries recently modified to remove outdated information.  In a few minutes, the Contacts on my iPhone fell in line.  Now, everything's fine.

  • will not restore iOS iPhone 6 9.2.1

I was scroll Twitter when I saw a post stating that if I put my iPhone time to January 1, 1970 and reset it using the home and power buttons, the apple logo would be displayed as the original apple logo, multicolored display 'Think differently' under him. So I followed the instructions, because I had nothing to do (at this point, my phone was working fine and there are no problems). I waited the original logo, but I got a normal white with the black screen. Start-up took much longer than normal, it is normally after a minute, at most, but this time he has been slain in the logo of apple for about 5 minutes. Then, to my astonishment, reverse color and it was a white screen with an apple logo black, something that a lot of articles on the claim of safari is the "iPhone white screen of death". Alternate display between the black and white screen screen every 2 minutes about, but never start. I put in DFU mode and connected to iTunes so that I can update it and not lose all the data on my phone. However, I clicked on update even if I believe that my iOS was already in 9.2.1. Everything worked fine during the update, so I thought it would work, but he only returned to the alternate screens. I decided to try the restaurant of DFU mode by iTunes. He checked the restore with apple and got through a status bar. He's still in the black screen with the white apple logo, and another State Bar appeared under him. It was at this point for an hour and a half, but the status bar is not at all filled, and the phone disconnected from iTunes because my phone 'timed out' even if I have not disconnected its cord. I think that the restore process has restarted itself several times because the empty status bar disappear about every 20 minutes or less and then reappears after about a minute. I read that the more data on your device, more required to restore full and I got about 50 GB stored on my 64 GB iPhone 6, but as I said the State Bar has never quite. What should I do?

This has been discussed here several times. Some have reported that a DFU mode restore to fix it. Some had to take their phone to the genius bar so that it sets.

There are certain pieces of evidence indicating that you can be able to successfully restore using DFU mode pending until your time zone passes midnight from GMT, and when you have restored it. For example, the time zone, in that I am GMT-5. If I completely borked my phone right now by pulling this stunt, it is possible that if I let it sit for at least 5 hours, when the clock has enough time to roll after midnight GMT, I'm able to get successfully working with a DFU restore again after that.

  • Contacts do not sync for iPhone

Newly added contacts in the contacts on my Mac Book Pro are not added to my iPhone contacts after sync. Go to advance settings in iTunes and ticked the option replace and still nothing.

In addition, on my Mac Book Pro using iMessenger, some phone numbers don't work, but they work on messenger from my iPhone.

Try using iCloud to synchronize contacts instead.

  • I restored my iPhone 6 from an itunes backup, but my group chat contacts are changed

So I backed up my iphone on itunes because I went to the apple store to solve a problem I had. After that that they had deleted everything on my phone, I went home and tried to restore it. All went well, all my contacts were saved, my pictures, etc. so I waited so he could complete the synchronization for my laptop. While I was checking my messages, I noticed that many of the cats from group I had, had shared some of my names of friends with other people on my contact list. I also saw that other people who were in the GM had their photo ID, but instead of their name, their phone numbers were posted. I rebooted my phone and hope so that it can be corrected, but it didn't, I also tried to add the people who did not appear in the newsgroup, but I have added to them, the person that they have been replaced by a show! If anyone can help me on how to solve this problem, it would be highly appreciated!

    Hello, arsmars!

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. Looks like your Contacts are not being very cooperative since you have restored your iPhone iOS 10 6. I know that I have not memorized a phone number in ages and would need this support as soon as possible. I'll be happy to help you.

It seems that you use iCloud to synchronize contacts between devices. On your iPhone, go to settings > iCloud. Disable the Contacts, wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on and check your Messages and Contacts.  I have a link below if you are still having problems:

    Hi SteveJobsRIP_1955-2011,

Thank you for contributing to the communities of Apple Support.

Looks like you are trying to restore your iPhone, but the message that the software update server could not be contacted.

You mentioned that you have tried all the steps that you can find by searching. I wanted to make sure that you have tried the steps described in the second and third sections of If iTunes could not contact the server to update software for iPhone, iPad, or iPod. If so, can you connect to the iTunes Store on your Mac?

    All the best.

  • How to restore my iphone contact 6?

How to restore a deleted on my iphone contact 6 using icloud saving?

You can not. Contacts are not part of your iCloud backup because they like synchronized with all devices using iCloud instead. Since they are sync any changes made on the device are automatically re-created on the copy of synchronization iCloud immediately.

If you have an iTunes backup, contacts are part of it, but you need to restore the entire backup - you can not restore the selected items from a backup.

  • iPhone 4 will not restore or update

    Hello

I just pulled out my old iPhone 4 that I haven't used for probably a year and a half. My iPhone 5 c died on me randomly and I set up an appointment to get it fixed, but until now, I need to access some applications I can download on my 4.

Surprisingly, the battery is still able to be charged and the phone finally woke up from his sleep. Then I tried to connect to my WiFi, but none of the wi - fi access points appeared in the list, and the upper left corner of my screen went on to say "search". I tried to restart the phone, which has proved to be a heck of a lot of trouble because it would show the logo of apple on the screen for so long each time. I finally went to bed and tried to sleep, but of course to get up to ten minutes later and the phone was finally facing upwards. Same problem of wi - fi. So I thought I would try to update.

It comes as I had before he told me "this phone could not be updated." and then asked me if I wanted to try the update again, or to restore and update, I tried the update again, just in case. That did not work. So I tried to restore twice (and to update because apparently that was required to restore) and he said "this phone could not be restored." According to me, it gave me an error number (16) and iirc the update error was (17).

    Can someone please?

During my minutes awake eagerly hoping that it works, I realized I should probably keep my 4, loaded and ready just in case my 5 c dies never again, because my Apple Care runs in June and I will probably not be able to pay a 6 until the 7 came out. Maybe even the 8.

If I am able to solve this problem and wi - fi still does not work, I'll probably put it in the fridge (that my Iphone 4 32 GB Black can't find any wifi network) because obviously my phone has been reset a dozen times now and my wi - fi works with everything else is probably not the modem.

I found the answer here: cannot restore my Iphone 4 after an update, Please HELP!

"I was able to fix this by simply changing the usb ports..."

Has worked for me, my phone has restored himself. Now is the time to try the hack of refrigerator.

Edit: so bad, I just went more near my modem (right next to her instead of the room above) and he acknowledged the connection. Hooray!
