Before 7 - Photos of 16:9 HD 1080i

Hello

I probably won't use all the words correctly, but here is my best shot:

I'm editing HD 1080i and try to create DVD menus.  I want backgrounds to be always the strokes in the sequence.  Once I located the frame I want to and use the camera to capture the image, I can insert the always in the scene line and is a faithful representation of the images, only again.  However, when I try to use the same image in the menu of the DVD, it is crushed almost square (4:3 I think).  I tried to change to square pixels and it gives me a big screen, but with black black bars on all four sides.  How to make a still shot in DVD menus without being crushed?

Thanks in advance!

If you use the parameter Neale posts above but change the format of the pixels to square Pixels and the size of the image to 640 x 480, it should look perfect. Even better if you go to the screen of Keyframing and rendering and select the option for deinterlacing.

You can not delete images in the import dialog box.

You can select whether you want to import or not, that's all. You can delete only the images of the library modules when they are imported.

  • Best practices for large libraries of Photos.

What is the best way to manage the photos using photographs, when the library is too big to fit on the disc inside.

It will work for adding new photos.

    (1) copy the photos again to an external or an NAS drive.

    (2) in Photos:-Preferences > general Deselect import.

    (3) importation of external, or NAS, walk in pictures.

It would seem that this leaves the new pictures on the external, or NAS, by car, but retains the database on the internal drive of the Mac. New photos appear in Photos as if they were in the photo library on the internal disk of Mac? Publishes new photos the same as if they were on the internal drive to the Mac?

    Will this work?

The management point of view there are two issues here, how to manage a library existing which is too big, the second is the addition of new photos, but to keep on an external or NAS drive. Any thoughts on how to unload existing photos in the Photos, but leave them in the photo library. Any thoughts?

It would seem that, if selected, iCloud should save the pictures on the external hard drive. Is this correct?

Photos, especially if iCloud photo library is running, do not work well with NAS.

There is no problem with the move your library of Photos consolidated on an external drive.

Everything you need yo do after move is to double-click it to 'teach' pictures where it is now located. Do not always have this drive and running before launching Photos or it will create a new library on the boot disk.

  • Too many photos, full of SSD

I can't seem to find the right solution here and I hope that some of you here can help out.

My wife has a 512 GB SSD and is full (2.5 GB free). It has about 270 GB of photos, most are in Photos (iPhoto library import). I need to spend most of this on a separate external drive that it can get easy access to the. She probably mant duplicates, but I'll deal with this later.

    What should I do?

    Two possible solutions

but you must act now that your computer is in great danger with so little free space - you should never leave free space below 10 GB - the strict minimum required to operate

    1. a path would be to use iCLoud photo library with photos optimized on your Mac limited storage space

2 - another would be to move the library of Photos on an external drive - the drive must be in Mac OS extended (journaled) format, not to be used as a Time Machine backup, directly connected via a wired fast like FireWire, USB or ThunderBolt and always available before launch Photos - Photos you leave and drag the library for the JEP , and then double-click it to open it and select it in the library by default and in Photos preference check that it is set as the library system - once you have fully tested, you can remove the original drive library

  • Activation deactivation iCloud, photo sharing

On my iPhone I have iCloud library & My Photo off steam but iCloud Photo Sharing turned on.  To be honest, I don't know how iCloud Photo Sharing turned on - I do not use it.  I would like to disable now iCloud, photo sharing and return to the way it was with my own storage original iPhone.  When I go to disable the button from iCloud on my iPhone photo sharing it says that it will remove pictures of Commons of my camera (which is now all the photos I have on my iPhone).  My question is, is this really the case? Can't I just go back to the way (I think) is on the device before icloud, photo sharing has been enabled?

It must just be better worded. It references only the shared albums as separate from your actual film association. It removes nothing of your camera by activating / deactivating it turned off.

  • GPS coordinates that are deleted by the Application Photos

Since June 2015, when I copy a photo in the Photos on my MacBook Pro app, it seems to remove the GPS data. More specifically,.

    • The photos are taken by a Nexus 5 phone. I don't have this problem when the pictures come from my partner's iPhone.
    • I have a MacBook Pro from 2014 (not retina that base).
    • I always run the latest version of Photos. The problem seemed only to appear in June last year. Before added photos then appear to be fine.

I checked the original version of the photo that I stored in (Finder), and this seems to be very well. Only once I have copy in Photos and then look in the file that comes out, the GPS data are gone.

Why is what happens, and is there a solution?

Only once I have copy in Photos and then look in the file that comes out, the GPS data are gone.

How do check you "files that come out?

    • The GPS coordinates are removed, if you export Photos photo with "file > export > export original unmodified for a single photo?
    • The GPS coordinates are removed, if you export Photos photo with "file > export > export 1 photo" and select "include location information?

If you do not file > export, but the menu share, GPS information will be deleted, unless you enable 'Include the location information for published items' in the Photos > Preferences > general Panel.

  • I get error messages when you try to edit or print some of my photos. "Unable to open the photos with the unavailable original files."  Some have been transferred from iPhoto, and some have been rewritten in photoshop elements. Any thoughts?

When you try to edit or print some of my photos I get the following error message: "Photos with the unavailable original files can't be op it gives you a drop-down list to find the original, but I had no chance."  Is there a way to 'do' an original or at least modify so it can be edited?

Pictures needs the original image file. This is to show you a preview in the browser, but to edit or export the photo of the original, file full resolution must be found.

What's happened before the photos have disappeared?  Photos crashed? You run an application to remove duplicates or to clean your Mac?  You have restored the library from a backup?

  • How to force the Photos up-to-date original jpeg file after you have added the GPS data and rotation

    Hello

Pictures has the ability to add GPS data to an image file, but stores the GPS data in a catalog instead of the actual image file.  The same seems to apply to the rotation of the image.  Is there a way to force the Photos up-to-date the actual image file?

The only solution I have found so far is to export images updated, remove them from the library of Photos and re - import.  This process, however, replaces the original creation date with the date of the export in the file.  (i.e. a photo taken in 2007 with a creation date of 2007 will now have the date it has been exported photos as a creation date.)

The reason why I want to update the original file, it is that I use Google Photos automatically create albums using the content of the image, the GPS data and dates.  The backup utility Google downloads the file Master Original therefore excludes files and changes to images in the photos.

    I use the photo Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Thank you.

The same seems to apply to the rotation of the image.  Is there a way to force the Photos up-to-date the actual image file?

No, Photos will never alter the original image file.

You can export the photo with the GPS and reimport with file > export and activate "include location information:

Or use a tool to add location data before importing photos to Photos. I use Jetphoto Studio.

  • WARNING: iCloud library deletes the original photos on Mac

Recently, I turned on the library to iCloud in the Photos app preferences. I chose the option "Download this Mac originals," not "optimize Mac memory" so all my original full quality photos will remain on my Mac and probably be safe. After uploading to the cloud ended (took a while), I made a backup of my Mac using Retrospect. I noticed that a lot (almost all by the number of GB) photos were being backed up, what happens if the file or its attributes modified. I was wondering why to send photos to the cloud would change my photo files. I decided to review individual cases to see if there were differences from the original versions. (Luckily, I had a clone of my HD last week, which had all my photos some before iCloud photo library has been activated.) So I could compare the originals on the clone for the pictures changed on my Mac's hard drive.)

To find files modified more easy, I used sync Pro, which gives me a list of files that it thinks are different. I discovered that more than 150 of my 9500 photos have been deleted after turning on iCloud photo library! It was shocking, but it is good news.

I have carefully reviewed the photos maybe a decade or two that had been deleted. If they had any duplicates which were not deleted. In other words, apparently Photos, trying to send photos to iCloud, reviewed my photos and remove duplicates from my hard drive. By comparing these duplicates, I have found not all were an exact replica, as follows.

    • Several photos appear to be identical files with the same size and file modification dates. Actually duplicates, thus eliminating one is without real loss, although I don't like deletions of software that Apple all of my original photos at first.
    • Some 'duplicates' had different size files. It's relative. In all these cases, examine photos of GraphicConverter revealed that Photos had deleted the photo of lower quality, depending on the quality of compression ratio or %. (The photo of lower quality is not always a smaller file size.)
    • Some "double" had same file sizes but different modification dates. I think that, in these cases, pictures kept the old file, which would probably be the original.
    • Some have had different file size and date to change different.  In these cases the Photos deleted the photo of lower quality.

Based on examination of a small percentage of the total number of deleted duplicates, Photos seem to be taken of intelligent decisions on how to remove duplicate.

What I don't know, is how or why most photo changed during the download process to iCloud, such files as revealed by Retrospect. But looking at my photos, I did not notice any obvious problems.

Implementation of Apple to iCloud library caused similar problems when I tried first. He changed most of my files of songs (according to retrospective). When this happened, I have restored the original files of the song from a backup and off the musical library to iCloud. I gave Apple several months for bugs and the week last tried railway. This time, it seems to go smoothly and none of my songs files have been changed. Now I'm enjoyimg music Apple and the possibility to add streaming music to my playlists.

I like to be able to view my pictures on all my Apple devices, and when the next tvOS comes out soon, I'll be able to view my library on my Apple TV iCloud too. So I won't restore all my photos from a backup, then off iCloud photo library. Here's hoping that I find out later that one of my favorite photos are definitely missing or altered.

    El Capitan 10.11.3

    iMac (24 inch, early 2009)

Based on examination of a small percentage of the total number of deleted duplicates, Photos seem to be taken of intelligent decisions on how to remove duplicate.

I noticed similar symptoms.  When I import a picture that is a duplicate of one already in my library of Photos, both copies will share the same original image file in the folder of masters. Photos allows you to import duplicates, but will store only one version. This makes it almost impossible to replace JPEG corrupted by the restored versions of a backup.

You can watch iCloud checking for duplicates while you download new photos. Launch the Console.app and look for the process 'photomodell '. You will see many entries like this:

  • What happens when the photo of system library is on an external drive and then the system creates a library of Photos? How do merge you them?

What happens when the photo of system library is on an external drive and then the system creates a library of Photos? How do merge you them?

Your library system can be on an external drive, if the drive is Mac OS extended (journaled) format and mounted on-site.

But you must be careful, your external drive is always connected and available before the Photos and to import new photos.

If Photos opens a different library, news, you can switch to the library on your external drive by double clicking on an external library. You can have several libraries, no problem.

But pictures don't have any tools to merge libraries. You can switch between libraries, then open them alternately.  To merge two libraries export the photos of the smallest library and import the photos exported in the largest library.

Or use third-party "PowerPhotos" to move photos between libraries.  But the merger is not supported in the free trial version. You must purchase the full version. You can download it here: Fat Cat Software

  • Can you fix oblique or perspective with Photos?

In the photo I crop and at the same time correct tilt or irregular horizon line. I am also looking to fix what is variously called inclination, perspective or a key effect when shooting subjects 2 dimensions with an iphone - in my case, the ongoing work on a tilted rack. I use a Macbook Pro and don't really want to do the correction of inclination on the phone, but when I import the photo of my Macbook.

If this feature does not exist in the Photos and will exist for a period of time, is there a recommended solution for this issue edition that doesn't involve a ton of export and re-import of Photos? And - it seems silly to buy something like Photoshop for what seems like a simple enough correction (no diapers or other sophisticated manipulations necessary).

    Thank you!

Photos not taken in charge of perspective correction or lens correction.  And none of the extensions of photo retouching available that done so far. Until one of the teams of third-party developers will provide an extension of the app, which can do this, you will need to correct the photos before importing photos.

  • When you delete a folder of photos empty, all the image files have been deleted and are not in the Recycle Bin

I've highlighted that an empty images folder and you press the button Delete. Each photo file (and the content) in the library has been removed. Basket is empty

    * original title - all images disappeared in cyberspace *.

Sorry if I look like I ask the same thing again and again I REALLY don't want to hear it, but just beyond bizarre. There is no reason crap for photos to just upward and vanish.

OK how bout this. Assuming the photo library you meant the images library, like the one on the little box in the file Explorer, users, go to start, computer, drive C, and right-click on my pictures, and then select Properties. If this was not the 'official' picture library, go to the folder view these photos and go to properties it there instead.

Now on the shortcut menu, click previous versions, wait list to fill out, when it does, click one of the folders that was before the photos have disappeared and select restore.

Essentially, this will make the pictures folder how was the date that you have chosen your photos, then all must return.

  • Photo on the 5510 black print cartridge

I just bought a Photosmart HP 5510 e-all-in-One Printer (B111a).  It doesn't have a crack 'black photo.  Quality of the printed photo will improve if I change the black cartridge for a photo before printing photos black?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I'm afraid that you can't use the photo cartridge instead of the black print on your printer cartridge. See label install the cartridges or the symbols on the door of the printer when you insert the cartridges. The symbols must match those on the cartridges.

If you hurt, I guess you get an error of ink.
