Question of sequence settings (Screen Shot attached)

Hello

I wanted to thank all the people on this forum who help others.  Someday I would love to do the same.

I think I can make it easier on those kind people go towards others by attaching the screen shots to my startup issues.

My question is about the sequence settings.  A lot of the key who are grayed out:

Screen shot 2011-02-27 at 3.42.40 PM.png

One problem is that I can't change my display of 24 p format.  This isn't on the drop-down list provided.

Also, I'm shooting in the codec H264 on a Canon 5 d Mark II, but can not change it, nor can I change the size of the frame (I got caught usually in 1080).   Instead, I'm locked in a DV codec and a 'Standard' Canon because configuration that the 5 d does not appear on the menu drop down.

Looks like you are trying to change the settings for an existing sequence; You can do that - or more precisely, you cannot change all the parameters that affect the reading and the scaling of a sequence.

If you are only working with Canon 5 D footage, there is some sequence presets set up specifically for such images. When you create a new sequence, browse the categories of predefined settings in the left pane of the dialog box new sequence; you want the folder DSLR. Find the preset that matches the size and the framerate of your videos and create a new sequence to use.

Another solution is to drag one of your clips for the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel - is the one who looks like a chipped sheet. First will create a new sequence of the corresponding properties of the element and insert this clip. From there, you can add multiple images.

Don't worry too much on the choice of codec here. Select the preset to the proper order using the appropriate codec, and this choice dictates that the codec used to render the preview files if you have a portion of your order which will not playback in real time.

Dig in the help documents for helping you roll; most of this is covered in some form or fashion there. Certainly, do not hesitate to ask questions, but the help documents should generally be the first reference to general operational issues. I imported a .mov project in Premiere Pro.

    The video is 29.97 FPS, 640 x 480.

I can't manually add captions to my project.  In this photo attached to this post, you can see where there is no other choice.

The only option I have is by clicking on the key tool and allowing captions, but nothing changes as soon as I did this.  Not that that is important.

Can someone help me?  Legends of manuals are only enabled by certain presets and/or codec for a project?

OK, so looking, it seems that you can not manually legends of component snap to Premiere Pro CS6.  This seems to be only an additional feature in first Pro CC.

    Hello

    You must customize your preloader

    http://flashhub.NET/ezflex/testloader/

Source is included, if you look at pl.as which is the preloader class, you can change this option to suit your purpose.

in the main application, you declare the preloader class

    http://ns.Adobe.com/MXML/2009.

    xmlns:s = "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark".

    xmlns:MX = "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo".

    minWidth = minHeight = "955" "600" preloader = "pl" >

Don't forget a rule of preloader, that they can use the components of the sdk of flex that everything must be pure flash.

  • Apple Prores sequence settings Question

    Hello-

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I recently made the jump FCX first cc and I'm running on a question.

I don't have an option when you create a new sequence for Apple Prores 444 HQ.  Is it possible that I can add this format so that it is an option?

If not, is there a recommended, then best thing should I choose?  Here are the options I have:

    Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 1.10.45 PM.png

Select an item in the project bin and drag it over the icon of a new element, which is right next to the Trash CAN. He will choose a sequence for you to match the clip. Didn't need to be named 'ProRes' specifically; Instead, what you are looking for, is the sequence settings to match images, such as 1920 x 1080, progressive, 29.97, aspect 1.0 pixels. Or whatever the case may be.

    Thank you

  • Fact in export DV using "Match sequence settings.

I'm VHS and Hi8 video capture using a Canopus ADVC-300 and Premiere Pro CS6.  The output is DV, approx. 14 GB/hour.  Most of the catches are unattended (have a 4 TB drive, supported of course, but space isn't a big concern at the moment).  I would get everything imported before any serious editing, so I capture each strip twice: the first time, the video itself; then I go back, turn on the indicator timestamp overlay and capture again with the camera works at speed x 2.  This way I can quickly find after a particular segment of a band recorded without winding the Ribbon around the camera, looking for the scene and the time is not superimposed on the image.

    I have two questions:

    (1) given that the catches are unattended, I need to cut the blue screen at the end of each captured files to save disk space.  I want to confirm that if I cut a sequence and export with game "Match sequence settings", this first reencode the DV except the parts that I've actually changed (I sometimes use the dip to black around damaged segment of tape).  Based on the speed of export, I don't think it's recompression and quality looks the same but I want to check a second time.

Premiere Pro CS6 always mark the timeline with the color bar if treatment is required?  "Dip to black" parts get a yellow bar, but the rest has no bar.  That would be a clue.

Also, the export dialog box has "Use rendered maximum quality" unchecked by default.  I check it - does it matter?

    (2) what is the best way to permanently associate a DateTime with the captured video? I don't see anyway to bake in the DV for each segment.  I use comments in sequence marks, established at the beginning of each clip, but the sequence markers do not move if I have ripple - delete, let's say 10 seconds of noise in the middle of a track.  I can't figure out how to get the markers attached to the video track instead of the sequence.  I found a few videos that say how to do this, but they do not seem to apply to CS6.  I found that if I export the sequence, the markers can get supported in DV.  But I need them to stay if I ripple-edit.  Is this possible?

    (3) my plan is to add a title overlay second 3 or 5 at the beginning of each segment to say what it is and where it was captured, but only for the final export.  Is there something I could use to create a heading for a spot?   This isn't a big deal, but it looks like a useful feature.

Sorry if the answer to these questions is obvious - thanks for your patience.

    1. on a Windows machine PP will make a copy of simple file for executives not corrupted when you make the DV, DV without transcoding.  You need not (and should not use) sequence settings to Match for that to happen.

2 clip markers are defined in the Source monitor Panel, not in the sequence.

    3. copy/paste is about it.

  • Sequence settings

I've seen the videos saying not to worry about the sequence settings - just drag the new icon of the sequence and start. But what of this situation?

My project will always contain images of two thirds of the clips: usually psd, 6000 x 4000 when cropped, 3:2 aspect ratio. It will be 1/3 video clips, 1920 x 1080, native 60 fps. So if I have a drag the icon of new sequence to begin, I have a sequence with 6000 x 4000, 29,77 fps, and if I start by dragging the video on the new icon of the sequence, I work in the sequence format of 1920 x 1080, 59,97 fps. These two have square pixels format.  Each sequence must the stills and video clips - mixed. To make a high def product over for Projection on a computer screen (or USB stick) or maybe Blu Ray, I probably want to a final product to 1920 x 1080 - is that correct?

So if I work with a video sequence of size, videos naturally adapt to the screen, but most of the clips, still images, must be scaled down to 27% to fit the screen. (However, which now leaves a lot of space to enlarge and reposition the parts of the image when desirable ("Ken Burns effect").) And if I worked with a sequence of 6000 x 4000, I scale videos to more than 300%. Here are a few questions:

1 should I set the sequence with still video and mixed media not best for 1920 x 1080, give me leeway to blow and reposition the stills?

    2. start with 'Set to the chassis' when displaying of full image fixed - before that it has blown up or repositioned?

    3. I suppose that my output will be H.264, but am unsure of the preselection: (29.97, 1920 x 1080, etc. - or maybe H.264 Blu - ray). Suggestions?

4 am I wrong don't not downsizing first stills (at this point, that would be quite annoying and time consuming)?

    Thank you very much

    KDOC (Keith)

    1. 1920 X 1080

    2 NO.

    4. you will take a performance hit if you do not reduce the stills.  Use resize a selection in Photoshop.

  • Self-fit image sequence settings?

    Hi people,

    Just a question:
I teach students how to work with Adobe Premiere Elements. In this way I experienced a small nice auto-message. If a user uses a projectsetting which does not correspond to the images he or she is important, APE9 give a nice little warning. Chained with the question to automatically adjust the project settings for the parameters of the film. Not only it works very well, but projects that have a red bar ontop of the scenario now seem to have problems of rendering at least, therefore, the system works a lot faster.

    Now:

I understand that when shooting with a professional camera and editing with Premiere Pro, most users know what sequences corresponds best with the sequence settings. But sometimes (.. .and maybe it's just me who experience this), I get images from strangers. Knowing exactly what the parameters are. Even though I know that the user has shot the film using a Sony XDCam format, there are a lot of options to choose from.

That guys would tell you, if there was an OPTION (so, not itself), to have a standard sequence, then put the pictures in it and then click on the option (context menu-> Auto adjust the image sequence).

I like it, but good, maybe there already is a better way, in this case: I'd love to hear from you!

... maybe there is already a better way, in which case: I'd love to hear from you!

He is a. drag a clip to the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel (it's the button that looks like a chipped sheet). This will create a sequence of parameters of the element and place the clip inside.

You can also right click on a clip and select new sequence Clip - which is in CS5.5 only, however.

  • By doing a screen shot: if I change the resolution?

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to change the resolution of a screen shot when I do one with Windows XP. I want to make a better quality.

I noticed that when I do a screen shot and paste into mspaint or scanners of my image editing program: it might not matter since I can crop and improve the image a bit. But sometimes I need a better shot.

Does anyone know the resolution of XP Home Edition - Vistas Home Premium 64 - bit - screenshots of SP2 or SP3?

Would be the steps, if it takes place, is the same for Vista?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

    You are welcome.

Just a reminder... If you increase the resolution of your desktop...
your screenshots could follow suit. (This adjustment
is located at: control panel / display / settings tab /.
Drag the slider to change the resolution) these settings
are limited by your video card driver... you
perhaps already in the maximum position.

FWIW... you can increase the resolution (pixel size) of
all existing (digital photo) screenshot of resizing. If
you use an option called Resampling, the result is a little
    better.

The free software IrfanView has the Resample option.

  • weird bribe to .mxf video in some sequence settings in setting up first

I have a big project mainly composed of .mxf files saved with a Canon xf100.  An interview in particular do this weird thing when one of the clips are placed in a timeline set as his videos, the video seems normal.  When I copy this video in another fixture with different sequence settings video appears as if the Middle vertical pixels have been stretched to the left and to the right.

I tried to copy it to the other video content to the sequence with this one interview, and it copies correctly.  However, as soon as I click videos stuck together, I get the error seen in the third picture and closed unexpectedly on me first.

Please see the pictures below.  All images were shot with the same camera settings and I used Media Info Mac to ensure that color space, rate, codec profile, bit depth, extension, etc. is the same.   If he has no idea why this interview has been damaged please let me know.

    Thank you Ann.

I updated my drivers and nothing has changed.  In the end I just transcoded the original files in Pro Res 422 and replace the corrupted in my project files.  From and to the top!

If anyone has this problem I'd love to hear a plausible explanation of the suggestions on how to avoid it in the future.

  • Is it possible to change sequence settings after you start a project? Also, how can I know what sequence of parameters are best for clips that I have?

Is it possible to change sequence settings after you start a project? Also, how can I know what sequence of parameters are best for clips that I have?
The clips I have are HD and .mp3. MTS files.

In the latest version of Premiere Pro, it is possible to change the settings for the sequence.

You know what settings are best knowing what you are doing.  (Personally I'm fan of formal education for this.)  I know that sounds sarcastic, but, there is no right answer to the question whose parameters are the best.  There are many variables here, then... you really need to know what you're doing.

  • When you create a new project, the "new sequence settings" step doe appears not automatically, what to do?

    Hello

I have a question I make videos of product for a company that they would do that to me in a 16:9 format and in HD. Because they do not know on which channels they want to publish, but it is certain that they will publish on youtube I wanted to do it in the settings HDV and DVCPRO HD 720 p 24 or even 1080 p 24. I bought the license to create online and for some reason that I don't have the option at the beginning when I create a new project to change the settings for the sequence. They do not appear, and then I can not change. Guys do you have any idea what can be done in order to access this setting before the project opens in the end?

I'd appreciate strongly any help in this matter!

    See you soon,.

    Mascha

This option is no longer available in the current versions of first. Once you click OK in the new project dialog box, you can then create some sequences that you like new sequence in the dialog box. You can also return to any order and change them through the sequence settings.

  • trying to deform stabilize 4 k images and then reduce to 1080 p before exporting it but error "string stabilizer requires clip dimensions to match sequence settings try nesting.

I have a 8 min long 4 k sequence where all the video clips are the same size k 4. I can warp stabilize just fun but when I go on change settings for the sequence to 1080 p and then right click on each clip to scale to the framework I get error "string stabilizer requires clip dimensions to match sequence settings try nesting" the reason why I want to warp stabilize the 4 k images rather than 1080 p images is because with 4 k I have a budget of high culture, I can get away with before I got to the bottom of the scale, string stabilizer settings I use are in the jpg I have attached. I tried visualization of nesting videos online and I can't find what I need. As the now the only viable option I must deform stabilize 4 k and export under 4 k and then open a new project and import the stabilized 4 k images exported and reduce the sequence to 1080 p. I'll do that if I have to, but it will take a lot of time coding without a doubt. Any help is greatly appreciated.warp.jpg

If the images do not match the sequence settings and you want to use the chain, you'll nest.
