behavior strange battery hp probook 4520 s

I've had my laptop HP 4520 s second handed but I know the previous owner very well so I trust and I bought the probook but since I stumbled upon some problems, especially with the battery that was replaced (I can verify this with HP support assistant) but the battery was a werid behavior, first of al windows never gave me the low battery will appear in the lower right of the screen , but since a couple of days the icon at the bottom right of my screen usually gives a reading about 30-40% and my laptop Cup, goes into standby mode and then turns back on and windows asks you to log on my account, at this point the battery is at 0% and that it charges to what I think a normal rate Please someone help me how to solve this problem? (test battery option is not available in the diagnostics menu which can be accessed by pressing ESC at startup)

Hello

Use a third-party software testing such as:

http://www.Softpedia.com/get/system/OS-enhancements/battery-Eater-Pro.shtml

4 out of 5 stars seems good.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=4145198&swItem=ob-112229-1&prodNameId=4145326&swEnvOID=4058&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=5

BIOS improvements: resolves an issue where the laptop battery is not working properly at the end of life.

This battery may be new, but it does not mean that it is in excellent condition. I suggest to upgade of the BIOS to version F.21.

  • Behavior strange battery on the iPhone 5 with iOS 9.2

After installing iOS on iPhone 9.2 5 phone consumes my battery unusually quickly and in a very strange way.

Specifically, after be recharged to 100%, it can go up to almost 60 to 50% within 1-2 hours of waiting use or with some very basic internet as e-mail, facebook, whats app etc. (not youtube or other battery consuming requests, no call phone and not a lot of applications running on the bottom). If I do 2-3 a few phone calls, the battery can easily go to 0. Another strange issue is that sometimes when the battery indication is around 60-65% the phone is suddenly switched off indicating low battery. I can't turn back on until I plug in power. Then my battery will immediately 0% back to 60-65% and charing. If I disconnect the cable again and wait a few minutes, it climbs from 60 percent to 15 percent. If I connect the cable again, as it did at 60%. A few more times, he spends 40 to 45% to 10% in both directions.

My wife has an iPhone 5 with iOS installed 9.2 and has similar problems with the battery. On previous versions of the software that we have never had such problems, the battery is sufficient for use throughout the day with plenty of internet and other applications and a few phone calls. My phone is now almost useless, the only way to take the battery throughout the day is to have it on the stand mode with all applications closed and no phone call, and once again the battery remains close to 100% for a long time.

Is a known, issue y at - it solution or something I can do like downgrade the SW, or should I wait for the next version of the software be released?

Make an appointment at the genius bar and have checked phones.

Some units of the iPhone 5 have been manufactured with a defective battery. Apple has a program in place to replace them for free. You can check here serial numbers if your phone is part of the program. https://www.Apple.com/support/iPhone5-battery/

  • ProBook 4520 button woes right touchpad

    Hi all.

Got a new HP's Probook 4520 using XP SP3. I noticed that the touchpad is not what it should be in some windows.

For example. If I open an Excel spreadsheet and right-click on one of the tabs at the bottom nothing happens. That is to say I don't get the submenu where can I change the colors of the tab etc.  With IE8 if I right click on open tabs by using the touchpad I get nothing. With the help of a mouse, I get the normal submenu. However if I right click using the touch pad on the desktop I get the right menu so I know that the equipment works. Strange problem, but it's very irritating. I had a glance through the different touchpad options (there are a lot!) but I can't find anything in this regard.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi again.

Just to let you know that if I press "Alt" then the button right then disappeared, the menus appear normal.

Hope that this 'correction' helps someone.

  • HP Probook 4520 s memory 8 GB (2x4gb) Corsair pass without success and failure

    OK, here's the story

My laptop is HP Probook 4520 s

    with Windows Windows 8.1 (6.3) 64-bit (Build 9600)

Please see the end of this post for CPU - Z report of specs.

Currently I have 3 GB of memory installed - had to install their return after failed upgrade.

Please check back the CPU - Z report for the memory module specifications.

I bought the memory pack 2 x 4 GB Corsair following

    Corsair CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 8 GB (2x4gb) 1333 MHz DDR3 SODIMM

    http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/memory/SODIMM/43657-CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9

    Plug new modules:

    Performance profile none
    Fan included no.

    SPD speed 1333 MHz
    Tested speed 1333 Mhz
    Tested latency 9-9-9-24
    SPD 9-9-9-24 latency

When I installed the memory module on the laptop, I couldn't go essentially exceed the stage of the POST. Is the HP logo appears on the screen and what is it... That's all... nothing beyond this point.

When I went to the BIOS settings, memory read 81xxMB successfully, it is essentially 8 GB of RAM.

I tried to reset the BIOS settings, has not yet.

I removed the 2 x 4 GB modules, put back the two original modules of 1 GB and 2 GB - those who came with the laptop-, everything worked again.

What was not right here... ?

PS please don't answer not with lame answers "it's weird", "that's strange", I know it's weird and strange. I want clear and specific suggestions.

  • Will be my laptop from inside my warranty boid clening? (hp probook 4520)

    Hi all

I have a hp probook 4520 for a year and a half now. Where I live there is dust everywhere make my laptop sale. I regularly clean my laptop but I'm afraid to clean it from the inside because of the warranty. The laptop could even reach 90 degrees then in the hot summer days while playing heavy games. The guarantee expires next February, but will open my laptop and my fan cleaning void my warranty?

    Thanks for your time

    Hello:

Yes, if you go too far in dismantling, will void you the warranty.

As a general rule, any screw Philips removed do not void the warranty.

The fact of any removed Torx screws.

Remove the battery and the power of a/c.

Put a toothpick in the scale of the fan and slide it between two of the fan blades, so they do not rotate. In spinning the fan will be destroy bearings.

Then just use a can of compressed air and blow into the fan making to erase what you can.  You can even kick in the exhaust vents too and then again through the consumption of the fan until you see no more than dust blow.

That should improve the cooling a bit.

  • HP Probook 4520 s screen does not do anything...

    Hi everyone...

I have a display problem with my Probook 4520 s. The screen does not show anything, not the bios boot, no windows.

It starts really normally no other problems at all. I plugged the other external VGA monitor and works very well. But the Symbols is completely disabled does not display anything. Normally, I manage my laptop with great care.

I chat with HP support team, they suggested

Please perform a dry boot on the laptop by following the steps below:
    1. disconnect all external devices and adapter unit
    2. remove the battery and press and hold power for 45 seconds. This should completely discharge any residual charge in the Group
    3. restart the computer by using only the AC adapter.

    But no luck.

    Please provide a suggestion/solution.

    Thank you.

In a dark room, boot up your laptop and shine a flashlight on the LCD screen.

If you see a very dark Windows desktop, then you have the chance.

The backlight inverter has failed and must be replaced. If you are a kind of DIY user, then this is a repair at low cost. If this is not the case, have done so in a store could cost @ $75.00.

If you still don't see anything then the LCD failed. It is a more expensive repair.

If your laptop is still within its warranty period, it's time to Contact HP warranty repair service.

    Hello

Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

  • ProBook 4520 s - exchange of the wireless network card

    Hello everyone.

I think the exchange of the wireless network card in my Probook 4520 s, due to the low flow.
So I searched for a while a 5 Ghz supporting the card and found out that I am only able to get in the "white" cards list working. Then I looked at this page:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & objectid = c02487851 & jumpi...

These cards can be any, that have been used in 4520 s. Mine (according to the Device Manager) is the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n. This thing only supports 2.4 Ghz. Now, I looked at the list for a 5 Ghz supporting the card. I think that the 802.11A/B/G/N WLAN Intel HMC 572520-001 minicards can operate on 5 Ghz, because I read, that A appears only with maps of 2.4/5 Ghz. I read too, that maps of 2.4 / 5 GHz have 3 antennas, but on this card I only the slots for 2. Is this good? And this card would go into my 4520 s?

    Greetings,

    Colony

    Hi, colony:

You are right about your statement about the cards being described as A/B/G/N dual-band.

The best thing to do is look at Chapter 3 of your service manual.

You can only order one of the cards listed as supported and it MUST have the HP reference on it or it won't work.

I see only two possibilities for you...

The 6200 Intel and Broadcom 4322.  Make sure you also get the part # that corresponds to what country you live.

If your current Broadcom card has integrated Bluetooth, you will lose your Bluetooth capability if you order an integrated HP bluetooth module and probably the cable too.

None of the dual-band cards have embedded bluetooth.

    Link to the service manual.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02439213/c02439213.PDF

Then, you can order a card on the link below.

If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page to yours.

  • ProBook 4520 s: lack of features on a ProBook 4520 s after upgrade Windows 10

    Hello dear community

Long story short: I have a HP ProBook 4520 s and yesterday I upgraded manually (with the tool provided by MS) Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. Everything went very well and smooth and it works perfectly well until now.

The problem is that some of the features of the laptop no longer work. Here are some examples:

    -Highlight the option on touchpad

    -built-in camera

-Some FN buttons like the one for the brightness of the screen while others (for example, the volume and email) working

My reasoning is that it lacks certain drivers or these functions are somehwat is not compatible with the new OS (it's a 5 + year old PC after all), but I could be wrong. I'd like to hear some suggestions and opinions on this.

If someone needs to my specifications complete, there are:

Operating system: Windows Pro 64-bit 10

    HELO,

I want to upgrade the CPU on my laptop. It comes with "Intel i5 m460" - 2 carrots. Is it possible to replace it with a 4 core CPU for example "processor Intel Core i7-720QM Mobile" or "Intel Core i7-740QM Mobile processor"? Is there a rule of thumb to check what CPU can be updated and with which we? What would be the best equipped (to the family of the i7 - 4 cores) CPU update for my situation?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Tom

Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no.

The best compatible optional processor is the Intel Core i7-640 M and has two physical cores can run four threads.

    Christoph, Philippines

    Hi, Christoph:

Unfortunately the Ralink BT 3.0 or earlier version of hardware does not work in 8.1, W8 and W10.

Ralink cards with hardware version 4.0 BT have supported for these operating systems.

If you want internal bluetooth, you will need to replace the Board with one of those enrolled in the service manual wireless.

The only other wlan supported with BT that I see listed is this one...

    WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo adapter and 4313 - reference HP 600370-00.

I believe that the bluetooth radio and model wireless card will work on W10, but I can't say 100% for sure.

  • ProBook 4520 s camera issues after upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10

ProBook 4520 s has problem with webcam after upgrade to Windows 10.

Skype and other software do not have access to the camera.

Drivers installed after the upgrade - universal HP (Realtek driver) looks OK in Device Manager.

    FIX:

-Deletion of Arcsoft Camera sharing (installed on Windows 7 at first) in the Device Manager.

-Download and install PC Camera Driver from Realtek Realtek support on site area:

    http://www.Realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=30&PFID=43&level=4&Conn=3&DownType...

    NB needs to restart.

Skype now see camera and works OK.

    Solved.

    Hello:

The device that you posted is your HP Bluetooth module:

This driver and software should take care of this.

What is the string of letters and numbers of your wired network card device ID?  It appears in Device Manager?  If this isn't the case, you must go into your BIOS and in device configuration menu, make sure that your LAN controller is enabled. If this is the case, then set the LAN/WLAN switching for people with reduced mobility if it is set to active.

You must save the settings, where you changed by pressing the F10 key and exit the BIOS.
