Best laptop for editing in Photoshop

Best laptop for Photoshop editing? 2015

If you want to stay with CS6 avoid a laptop with a high resolution screen.  Photoshop UI will be weak and unusable.  Save your money get a laptop with an LCD display with a resolution around 100 PPI.

Surface Pro 4 is not announced yet rumor is there will be two sizes, 12 "and 14" both will had poster with 2160 x 1440 pixels as the Surface pro 3. Screen 14 '' PPI will then be 140, which should be good for CS6. Windows 10 I hear will be also shipped on the Surface 4 so far the Word Pro is Windows 10 will be better than windows 8 and free for Windows 7 and 8 users.

  • Best material for editing?

I want to upgrade my computer to edit it. I have an iMac 2011: 2,5 GHz, memory 4 GB, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB. I plan to buy another iMac. with a budget of $2500, what would you recommend for best performance for editing? I would emphasise quality video card, memory RAM, or disk (4 cores, 7 carrots, fusion, etc...)?

Download video card with MOST of the vRAM.  That means generally that you will also get the quad core i7 with Turbo Boost technology (acts like one 8 cores when you need it - and presents itself as 8 cores with MenuMeters.) The 2013 iMac had a 'backdoor' easily add RAM, and if this is always the case - buy an extra set of 16G of Crucial or some other 3rd party and add it yourself - you will make savings (if I remember) about $200.  If I had to start everything, I would have also obtained the reader of the merger, but the internal (regular) hard drive in the iMac Gets a pretty decent read/write speed (about 130 MB/s) but not what you really want with video editing. The proposed internal SSD is fairly low, so, I generally recommend external SSD drives and their construction schedules. USB3 is fast. Love at first sight would be better, but it's still expensive. An SSD in USB3 is quite impressive (I get about 300-400 MB/s R/W for one and 370-435 on the other). You can get a USB3 box for $10-$40 (Amazon has a housing Kdlinks now, limited time, for only $9.95!) and you can find a 500 GB SSD for under $ 200 these days. I bought Crucial SSD (I have a little bit o 'too o' Scottish blood in me), but what I've read, the Samsung EVOs are among the fastest (~500MB/s).

-VRAM so Max it is possible! (- what it takes to get this top of the line card... graphics you have it.) - and lotsa RAM (you can buy 8 with mac + 16 crucial for 24 which will give respectable service) - fast external drives are a nice addition.

  • What is the best laptop for video editing that task my money?

    Hello

I have Lenovo laptop, I used it for 5 years, until now, I see that it is not good enough to make the work of video editing. So now I think to buy a new laptop for this case, but I am not confident about my knowledge on the area of the laptop. Everyone here knows or has a good knowledge on laptop, please give me a serious opinion, thank you.

    Hi jespong,

    Thanks for posting.

The first starting point would be to look at the minimum specifications required by the video editing program, and then start looking for laptops with these specifications.  Then look for those that have the best specifications requested by the program and settle for something in between.

According to your budget, it would be better to buy something that has more than request the program you always want to have the best.

    Kind regards

    Robert

  • The best laptop for students

What to look for when buying a laptop for a student? /

It would depend on a lot of the information that you are not given that it is impossible to answer (even if it is a forum for answers :-)).

Your major might have something to do with what to look for. You are a journalism major, or perhaps go for engineering? Electrical or mechanical?
Do you rely on a playground, or for most social networks and email?

As much as I despise stores big box for technical support and repairs, they make a good starting point for someone who is not too sure of what they want. Find someone out there who seems to know of what they speak and grill them as if they were a suspect of murder :-) You don't necessarily have to buy from them, but write their recommendations, and then store the ' net for the best service and prices. Google and Bing are perfect for things like that and for the comments sellers see what others think of them.

    Good luck and good hunting!

All suites - tips v Design Premium Web Premium?

I'm getting into web development after having been out of commercial art and design for 15 years.

    Thank you.

You can get a laptop big Cyberpower PC that will run Photoshop. You must follow certain basic requirements as much as RAM and CPU. My article here: http://robertoblake.com/blog/2011/07/building-a-photoshop-cs5-computer/ has some good general information on what you need. However, here are the basics.

Try to ensure that the hard disk of the diving is 5400-7200 tr / MIN, at least 500GB, 4-8GB of RAM, try to avoid embedded video if you can help it, video 1 GB is ideal, but you can live with 512 MB processor: Dual-Quad Core 2.0 GHz or better.

Your going to want an external hard very portable, not only for backup, but set as you Photoshop Scratch Disk, recommend it be SSD (Solid State Drive)

I highly recommend picking up this laptop: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X6-9200_Gaming_Notebook/

Quad Core, 8 GB RAM to speeds of CPU maximum of 2.2 - 3.0 GHz, 2 GB NVIDIA graphics card, 640 GB HDD, all for under $900

You see the game computers are perfect for Photoshop, the power required to run games more advanced far exceeds the resources necessary to function well Photoshop and other Adobe applications. This should be everything you need and much more.

  • Best laptop for video editing

This has probably been asked before but I can't find a discussion.

Does anyone have the chips for the specifications, which would be ideal for HD playback without lag in Adobe Premiere cc2015 +?

    Laptops that I am considering include the line of ASUS ROG game... but my main question is;

the 4 GB dedicated graphics card will be "brand or a break" for a smooth ultra HD playback in my calendar?

This would be for an extraordinary effect of intensive work and a lot of video track overlay and the use of plugins for mainly music videos where nuanced reading is essential for a quality cut.

    Thank you!

  • Best laptop for Premiere Pro edition?

I used my Sony Vaio more than 4 years, it's getting a bit long in the tooth.  Does anyone have a preference or aversion for certain brands of laptops?  At this point, I'm leaning toward a Dell... mainly because it allows a second hard drive and a lot of horses.   A second HD is apparently no longert an option with Sony.  Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I understand this thing of technology. I not my whole Sager upward again, and that they were already providing it with HARD drive 300 GB. I see now it is up to 500 GB! Well, that's progress. Also, I noticed that a fully tricked-out unit is now about US$ 400 less than what I paid, and there are tons of improvements - faster, bigger and cheaper... Yet, my unit has served me very well in extreme conditions, so I have no room to complain.

    Good luck

  • Best laptop for Premiere Pro CC 2015?

    Hello

I have a good system in my homeoffice, but now I need a laptop too, for when I m working in another office in the city. I m in a bit of a hurry and have not caught up to lately on all new laptops and things, so I hope that some of you guys are going to give it a try and help me with this one ;-)

I already have a laptop old 4 year with only 4 GB of RAM and even if it was reasonable employment years in Photoshop CS4 etc it really doesn´t work for anything other than Word, and internetbrowsing more.

So I need a laptop that will be good, but not a portable workstation $ 10,000...

I mainly edit AVCHD files and nothing above 1080 50 p, but who knows if I have to deal with 4 K less than a year. The 4K is not a real dealbreaker - 1080 will be fine for a while, but I guess, as I mainly edit videos for use online. In addition, first, I use Indesign, Photoshop. Illustrator and Lightroom a lot.

As I have VM will be sitting in a small office with two other people, I really need a laptop computer that is not a lot of noise when idle or normal use (like photoshop, etc.) I can live with a little bit of noise during video encoding/export, but not while I'm edditing in first...

I thought about the ASUS ROG G751JT-T7018H - wich comes with 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB of HARD drive / 7200 RPM,.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M - 3 GB of GDDR5 memory and love at first sight...

So the pricetag would be about $2500 I guess - Don t want to spend more. Anyone with experiences with this laptop - including noiselevel?

My question is (and these question are general issues - not only on the the ASUS mentioned above):

1 is 16 GB enough RAM - or 32 will make a huge difference? I don't see much improvements when I upgraded my office from 24 to 64 GB of RAM...

2 Geforce Wich xxxM cards should be avoided - if any? The 970M is supported?

3 wouldn't be better with a 1 TB drive SSD instead of 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HARD drive? Heat - and noisewise?

4 think I read somewhere that an external drive (RAID) with crush could speed up things - do smooth editing - any thoughts on love at first sight?

If you have any suggestions or experiences with Adobe CC running on any of the latest laptops from 2014/2015, please share them.

THX in advance - and sorry for the long post...

    See you soon

Well I'm not at all shocking in my family room with it when using the GPU or CPU for the full load running during benchmark PPBM very, but I would not compare to an office altogether.  But then how many times you'd see these extremes during a real edition session.when this is true almost completely silent and my use is current alternative 100% and I'm running the GPU for 50% memory overclocked clock.  It is a G750, I've not seen a G751 but I doubt they changed this aspect of the design.

  • Best laptop for work with Adobe CC

I'm about to buy a new laptop. I did some internet research on what is a good laptop to work with the software Adobe CC. I'm having a hard time getting a response. Does anyone have suggestions on what laptop to get that works with all of the suite No. or minimum questions? I heard that the Nvidia driver has problems with Adobe. That of just 10 Windows or is it ok for Windows 8? I hate to get an older version when a new version is released, any suggestion that someone can provide would be appreciated. Although you can specify what system requirements I should look for. It must be that this laptop to last me for a while, so I don't want to get something that is obsolete in a year or two.

  • What are the best practices for editing files .mov (output of a Ninja Blade ProRes recorder) on a PC?

We recorded using our recorder ProRes Ninja, resulting in files large .mov (as expected). While my Mac laptop is capable of playing Quicktime files, my PC cannot of course. In the meantime, I create compressed copies of the files (such as .mp4s) for sequencing on my PC, because it is a much more powerful machine. However, I don't know how to use these compressed files affect the quality of the final product.

I have to encode files .mov to a different output for use on my PC, is there a way for my PC read uncompressed files or .mp4 files will be sufficient for the high quality of desired output?

    Thanks for your help!

For a PC, you have to download the Quicktime Player... Although I found that the best work, go ahead and get the Qt Pro license (bit less $ 30) seem to make the best out of my 1080 p mov files. Many users pc found here as soon as they have downloaded Qt, their mov worked well. So... you should be able to use fine as-is in mov codec after d - l QuickTime or at worst, Qt Pro license number is entered in your Qt player.
