Best method to copy the audio project to the new slide?

Captivate v5.5

I have a project composed of slides.

Each slide has its own audio.

I need to update the project (resizing and editing slide images), but the audio does not need to be changed.

Rather than recording the narration for each slide again once, I intend to copy the audio for each slide of the old (export) project to the new project (import). Audio slide 1 of the former gets attached to the slide 1 of the project new etc.

Suggestions as to how best to do so taking into account, I have several slides each with their own audio and I make sure that I am attaching the right audio file to the new version of the slide, it was copied from.

Thanks in advance,

Noel

Hi Noel,

Can only explain what would be my method in this case. All the audio clips can be found in the library, but they have a very descriptive name. I identify and change the name (if they must go on the same slide number, simply put the number of the slide inside). Then in the new project I open the former as an external library (file, import, external library) and drag audio clips to slides that are appropriate. External libraries are so little known, but I use them all the time (have a set of functions frequently used in the files in separate project that I only use external libraries)

PS just see the official answer from the staff, but please, rename your clips there as well or you will not be able to identify them. In the original file, you can watch the clip in the library of each slide

  • Best way to copy the ISO and Template on another VMFS volume?

    Since we are running out of disk space, we would like to change the size of a volume VMFS existing 500 GB to 400 GB.  This VMFS volume contains ISO images and virtual machine templates.

    We have already created a new 400 GB size VMFS volume and would like to know what is the best way to copy the ISO and models from the 500GB to 400GB size VMFS volume.  Can we use WinSCP or use the command line?

    The more simple and quick to copy ISO files store data to another, is to use Veeam FastSCP. It copies data directly from one host to another. And it's free (http://www.veeam.com/vmware-esxi-fastscp.html)

  • To copy the Gradient slider

    Hi Sir/Mdm,

    I am facing a problem in copying the Gradient slider from one object to another object. I used the eyedropper tool, click on the left sleeve and click on the right sleeve to copy the gradient but the cursor appears to be different, as shown below. Please advise me how to copy the Gradient slider identical to the original that I created. Below is the screenshot to describe my problem. Thanks in advance.

    gradient.jpg

    In this case, you can convert the gradient "Radial" and assign the same gradient left and right form, at the same time, with the gradient centered at the neck.

    If you must stick with linear gradients, just "reflect" the left shoulder on the vertical axis. If you use the new form or not, you now have the exact angle of gradient that can be transferred to the right shape.

  • What is the 'best' way to copy a useful project again, so it can be changed without affecting the original?

    I'm pretty much a newbie to LavVIEW.

    I use LabVIEW complete edition on Windows 7 2012.  I copied a project using Save As duplicate in the Project Explorer.  He created an excessively long and complex directory structure.  He made "too long" (probably from the path being too long).

    The intention was to obtain a copy of the project can be used to freely modify it without damaging the original.

    I searched the Forum and knowledge base, do not see anything definitive.  I guess that information is already posted, but just, I have not been able to find.  A point in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mark

    Copy the directory of the whole project to a new location

    Delete the files .lvlps, .lvprog and the new .aliases copy

    Start LabView and create a new empty project

    In the project manager, add a new auto fill directory select the new copy of the project directory

    Save the new project in the new project directory

    Only caveat is that this does not all dependencies in your user.lib or inst.lib for the first time, you open a vi that you might find some of the dependencies that are not in the default locations.

  • What is the best way to copy the 700 lots of e-mail files to a new computer?

    I'm moving my wife and an old (Thunderbird, Win XP) computer to a new computer (Thunderbird Win 7). It has about 700 local folders with thousands of emails in them. What is the best way to copy to the new computer?

    The easiest is just to copy the whole profile.

    Menu help > troubleshooting information

    Close Thunderbird

    In windows Explorer, select all and copy.
    just stick on a thumb or other portable media to read/write (not the CD or the DVD)

    on the new Machine to repeat the troubleshooting and close the steps to get the current profile folder

    This time all the portable media stick in the profile to replace what is there

    Open Thunderbird, your additions of e-mail contacts does it all

  • Best method to import the external drive?

    I have a LaCie 1 t and you want to know the best method to get these images in LR. The default values are: 'Add' and 'NewPhotos' to 'Moncatalogue '.

    I think I may have more than one catalog and do not know how to combine them. It is advisable to have a single catalog?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr. Mayor

    There is no "best" method, there are methods that work for you and the methods that do not work for you.

    If the files are on the external hard drive, then 'Add' certainly would work, he leaves photographing in existing records.

    In almost all situations, you want to use a single catalog. (The only situations where you may want several catalogues are if the object of the catalog it is completely incompatible with the purpose of the catalogue 2, for example, business and personal).

    You can combine catalogs by opening one and then use file-> import from another catalog and points to the catalog on the other.

    You're after a mechanism that lets you update the primary key sometimes on some lines, or did you just impossible, which means that you must update all the data because of some kind of change in the structural definition?

    If all you need is a rational method to change keys sometimes (and this isn't quite mortal sin that other posters have been suggesting) then recreate your foreign key as a constraint can be delayed may help.

    Oracle allows no you cascading updates automatically for primary keys, but if the foreign key is carried forward you can proceed as follows:

    set constraint {foreign key constraint name} deferred;
    update parent primary key;
    update child foreign key;
    set constraint {foreign key constraint name} immediate;

  • best method to transmit the PPM (servo control) in series-wireless transmitter? (how to combine binary + whole in a single series byte)

    I'm pulling my hair out here... I hope someone can help to guide me in the right direction.  I'm just learning binary and hex, so please forgive me (and correct me!) if I say something wrong.  I have to give credit when it is deserved, because I use info from a post on theautochannel.com to drive this development.

    I try to control a small indoor RC helicopter using LabVIEW and a USB joystick.  I communicate with a transmitter wireless via rs232 (TTL converted), the Protocol is 125000, 8n1. Each image is 14 bytes 2 bytes of header.  I would like to transmit data PPM (pulse position modulation) which is actually just a 10bits (1024 possible measures) range that dictates the position of the servo, for each channel.

    Byte 3 & 4 are channel 1, byte 5 and 6 are channels 2, 7 & 8 CH 3,... and so on until the bytes 13 & 14 which is CH 6.

    Each pair of bytes begins with "00" (binary).

    Byte 3 & 4 should look like "00 00 00 xx xx xx xx xx", where the first "00" is the header, then "00 00" is the identifier of the servo, and 'xx xx xx xx xx' represents the position of the servo. The identifier is actually integrated in the position of the servo, the bits serve a double purpose.

    That's why it all will look like this:

    CH 01:00 00 00 xx xx xx xx xx (position has a valid range from 0 - 1023)

    CH 02:00 00 01 xx xx xx xx xx (range 1024-2047)

    CH 03:00 00 10 xx xx xx xx xx (range 2048-3071)

    etc... If you convert the binary range, you can see how the second half of the bits ID servo are provided by the range of servo.

    I intend by entry VISA to send every byte to constitute the entire frame, and then I will pause ~ 10ms between frames. However, my question is how the hell should I code this? !!  I think I need to write, take 1 CH for example, bytes 3 and 4 together into a string and then split them back hand to be sent as two distinct bytes.  However, I do not know how to mix my header and the first two bits of my ID servo, which is binary '00 xx', with my servo position (which I know I can write in decimal form, as entry VISA will convert it in binary). Any thoughts on the best way to do so, given all this?

    An empty string character likens to a binary "0"?

    Has totally confused everyone?  I really hope not, but I'm pretty tired so let me know if I need to simplify my question.  I hope someone can enlighten me as to the best way to combine the binary constant w modification of decimals (or hex).  And if anyone has thoughts about a good way to organize my vi together, I understand that too!  Right now I'll just use the structures of sequence... I post my code but at the moment, there is not much to look at

    Thank you very much!!

    No, you do not confuse everyone, but I think you might have confused yourself.

    You basically need to do is to create the array of bytes that will be sent, and then use the array of bytes to a string, so you can send it to the serial port. The creation of the byte array can be done in several ways. You deal with 6 16-bit numbers, of which the lower 10 bits are the values of the position of the servo. I don't know what you want on the front panel to look like, but if you have 6 separate (one for each servo) controls with each set having a range of 0 to 1023 (for 10-bit), then you just have to OR each value based on the number of servo. Put all this in a table, add the bytes of the header and the array of bytes to a string allows to get a string that you can send via the serial port. You can also do this in a loop. Joined a VI to show the two concepts. You have not indicated what version of LabVIEW, is 8.2 you use.

  • Best method to deploy the virtual computer

    Anyone who can tell me what is the best way to deploy the virtual computer deploy of the FVO or models (the VM creation) that create the virtual machine of the templated took longer time compare to the creation of the FVO. Any Suggestions?

    Deploying the model customizze the new machine as part of the deployment will treat you while FVO will be an exact xopy, so you need to manually configure the new machine.

  • What is the best method to find the length of a series in xml format.

    What is the preferred/better method to get the 'length' of a set of xml nodes? Currently I use a "for in" loop and using the value of variable end. This works very well, but seems inelegant, inefficient. Any opinions? suggestions?

    Thank you

    M.

    Something like this:

    public void xmlParser(myData:XML)
    {

    var listItems:XMLList = myData.listItem;

    var len:int = listItems.length ();

    creates two tables
    for (var j: uint = 0; j <=> len; j ++) {}
    masterArray [j] = listItems [j]
    flexArray [j] = listItems [j]
    }

    addListeners();
    listLoader (flexArray);

  • Copy the new Gmail message to a local folder in Thunderbird-, and mark it as read ONLY on the Gmail server

    Hi forum,

    for a long time, I tried to set up a filter which copies new messages in the Gmail inbox to a folder in local mail in Thunderbird, and defines in addition/unread state correctly on both ends.

    However, no matter what I try, it doesn't work.

    There seems to be no way to set the playback on the IMAP server to 'read' State after the copy action and at the same time keep the "unread" status for mails that have been copied to the local folder in Thunderbird.

    It does not work even if I created an intermediate folder on the IMAP server where mail is first moved to and only then is copied to the local Thunderbird folder later.

    I also tried all sorts of combinations with the 'move later' and other actions to FiltaQuilla.

    I'm really at a loss. I'm the only one who wants to copy the message from Gmail to a local Thunderbird folder and get the status of unread / read appropriate on the server, as well as in Thunderbird?

    Bunch help, thank you

    Bravo David.P

    Why is that every time I ask about any TB support forum, I find myself explaining things instead of getting an answer?

    I need to mail to stay on the server, even if I delete it locally. What part of this is not understandable?

    In any case, don't bother. I fixed it myself at the same time by putting in place the new Gmail account in Thunderbird.

  • Best PPI to create the new Image in Photoshop

    Hello

    Lot of questions - while "BOLD". I'm a bit new to CS5 and have been playing with making art in it. Yesterday, I created a work of art simply by selecting 6 inches by 6 inches in the dialog box (because I thought just printing at home and it sticking on a 6 x 6 canvas). He is lacking in 72 dpi / RGB as it always does, and I was fine with it when I started the piece and also because I post these works of art on my blog on the web.

    I am currently trying to art for permission to create and understand that I have to create things in mode CMYK for that (right?). I also understand that I should probably create a piece of PS to 300 ppi (or 355 ppi is the new standard?)

    I want to create art 12 x 12 photoshop windows ('size of the album') for manufacturers that will also allow the art to sample and down a bit (say up to 8 x 8 and up to 20 x 20). Is the best dpi, 300 DPI then to create the room to?

    In addition, it is possible to re - save the file to the web at 72 dpi / RGB to post on my blog? What is the best way to do this?

    Last question, I think, is that I need to print on my art on my personal printer (HP Vivera 4 inks) for shows has just shown and do not fear that it is the best of all possible impressions. Just a very good record of it for display purposes and of course, I don't want to go through a boatload of ink and spend 20 years waiting so he could get out of the printer, etc. can recommend the best configuration (CMYK? PPI?) Home-12 x 12 print this title?

    Thank you!

    Thus, a good idea would be to save all my PS files as file zipped

    There may be a bit of a misunderstanding here.

    A psd file is fine, but made may retain layers and also be compressed (this can be set in the TIFF Options dialog box when you save a tif) with LZW or ZIP, which are all two compressions without loss.

    The advantage would therefore be potentially less files but more long economy - and - hours, as compression is not' free '. "

    In any case, you would be well advised to save your work regularly.

    And another point related to the question of the size of the image:

    Vector masks are paths, so that they can then be resized and maintain sharpness. (see screenshot)

    Depending on the type of images that you do, for example, if you combine flat shapes quite stylized, they can be an option to keep in mind. Although this kind of illustration would lend itself more to be done in Illustrator.

  • Stop automatic transition to the new slide

    Hello
    I don't know it's right in front of my face somewhere, but I can't figure out how to stop captivate to automatically proceed to the next slide. I created a video full-motion that spans two slides. After the end of slide 1, it automatically goes to the two slide. I inserted a transparent button, I want the user to click before moving on to slide 2, and he gave to "Go to next slide" action when you click it. Does not work well... Cylinder head moves automatically without having to first click. I don't see anything under properties of the slide for this either.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Welcome to our community, Jason!

    Normally, you stop a slide by inserting an object button or click box. These two objects a pause until the user clicks the slide dead in its tracks. However, if the blade stops or not is your choice. You can disable if you need to. But by default, they take a break.

    See you soon... Rick
