Bevel / making a 2d image have a hard edge 3D?

I know how to put on the corner: it's simple distortion. I'm more interested in how they add the edge.

This happens often on Behance projects that I have attached as examples - I thought this would be a wedge, but no matter how I play with bevel, I can't reproduce the effect. Does anyone know how to do this?

Much appreciated!

You don't need something specific. Just group your works of art, a bunch of times to reproduce stack, group the entire stack again and adjust its color.

I'm really skeptical if you can launch the second partition Toshiba ghost image files without using the Symantec Norton Ghost software.

I created a ghost of the C partition image and placed on the D partition.
Recover the C partition to start the utility of Ghost and having to use the file D partition .gho image

  • How to create an image of the hard drive on a PXI-8186

I have a PXI-8186.  I want to make a backup copy of the current state of the hard disk of the controller.  Is there a way to do this?  I tried the Acronis software, but this controller may be to old for this.

Another message similar to this is that one, but it has not helped with the 8186.

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=270&message.ID=5656&requireLogin=false

    Thanks in advance.

    Mark L,

Your PXI-8186 is Phonix Firstware software of imagery to controllers.  This software has a type of run-time license that allows the controller of our image re-imaging.  The development license is not supplied with the controller.

To create a new image of your HARD drive, you will need to use a third party software like Norton Ghost or Acronis Disk Director.

  • Cannot access the images on external hard drive.

I'm trying to access a folder on my external hard drive. The folder contains images and the hard drive is the internal hard drive from my old computer with XP as the BACK. The new computer I try to access the folder on a Vista like the BACK. I can open the file, but when I try to open the images, it says I don't have permission to access the location of the file. I tried to implement the steps described in this thread http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/accessing-files-on-external-hard-drive/1bd3550f-10fc-406e-be45-0de794343e53 but it did not work. Help, please.

    (a) right click on the folder you want to take control and then click Properties.

    (b) click on the Security tab, click Advanced, and in the permissions tab, click Add.

    (c) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (d) type like everyone else, the in called Windows Enter the name of the object to select it, and then click OK.

    (e) in the new window, give select full control and click OK.

    (f) click OK.

Step 2: in the permission tab (follow step a and b in step 1 to open the authorization tab), if you have any user refused to try to remove it and make sure that include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent of the object is checked.

  • Registered Photoshop images have a grey (in motion) around each part

    Sorry, pretty hard to explain.

I combined the images into Photoshop and if yes or no, I use a transparent background, some of the images have always an area shaded around them... It isn't always around the complete image - sometimes it covers only part of the picture.  * When I pass a mouse over this piece of shading image turns into a different form or part of the image.*

I tried to save as every file type, but it happens with all of them.

It is very small, but noticeable, and I do not think that should happen, but I don't know how to get rid of it.

    Fish_Shading.png

    Can someone please?

It is for the best of Britain. Your psd is fine and files of your savings are very good too, so it must be to do with how they are rendered on your screen to words the square gray isn't in the file itself, but is probably an artifact from the graphics card driver.

  • Why are JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer all of a sudden now Virgin?

JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer are now white (it reads 0kb and the tile is missing) and when I go to open it in Windows Photo Viewer, it gives me an error saying that there is not. I noticed that it happens to almost all of the photos that I have edited in Lightroom 5. I shot an entire season of football last year, all in JPEG format and with my guards, I advanced and edited in Lightroom and now they are virgins. I never moved my photos anywhere. I turned the game in November, created the folder for this game, and that's all. I'm almost a year more later to print them for my portfolio and the file is missing! Lightroom can show the photo, but I can't make adjustments in the develop module because the file is blank on my computer. The weird part is that the sticker is there, the number of correct image is there, and when I click to display in the Explorer in Lightroom, it pulls up the JPEG right, if the location is OK in Lightroom, just no thumbnail image and no image size when I go to open it using the Windows Photo Viewer. I checked the other games that I shot and it's happened to almost all games.

If you have pictures on your camera cards, then of course you can simply copy them to the appropriate locations.

There are plug-ins in Lightroom that can recover the preview using Lightroom, but these will be smaller and lower in quality than the original. Perhaps one of our plug-ins experts can suggest the good plug-in.

If the hard drive goes really wrong, as I suggested, you definitely want to be replaced. If this is the case, you won't continue to use it. You might want to run some diagnostic disk on this subject.

  • Share a lightroom catalog - Does the catalog and images on external hard drive work?

I manage a small part of the flow of images overall of the client by updating their prescence web basis with new works and relabelling/download earlier works. I believe that this requires the catalogue and the library of images that will be hosted on an external hard drive that can travel between us two. We work both on PC with LR 5.3.

The workflow should look like this:

Customer uploads new images on external hard drive and import LR

    'ClientCatalog' is created

Flags of pickaxes and creates a Collection of those Picks

Hard disk is handed to me when I opened "ClientCatalog".

    Make changes suggested in pictures

    Add detailed tags and metadata

Download on various media sites, social and Web sites

return the drive to the customer

Is there a potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive, so there is no worries for the catalog with all updates. Can someone find out about potential problems, that I might have forgotten? Are there of "security protocols" you would add in to this workflow (not to mention that everythign on another hard disk mirroring) which would you suggest?

    Photwell wrote:

I came across this problem with my own catalog a few weeks ago. I plugged my external hard drive into a different USB port and everything was gone.

Not gone, just addressed. It can be re-addressed as required. I think that's enough on MacOs, to name the drive. Under Windows, the details vary depending on the version of the OS (Google for instructions), but it's for Win7:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Windows7/HT/change-drive-letters-Windows-7.htm

and it's a good idea to assign a drive letter quite a bit more later in the alphabet, to restrict the possibility of ever finding this already taken letter. For example, it might be X: to HDD external , or P: for Plug in car, or anything that makes sense to you...

After having done this, the re-start of Lightroom and open the catalog, images will be at the first go in offline mode (previously used location not found). To get online, it will be necessary to re - browse the folder parent for all your image files, to reflect its new location under the new reference in car. That done, the location information of catalog for all images and subfolders located under this parent folder, automatically updated. If that parent does not appear in the list of records of LR, you right-click and choose "show Parent". Display LR then reorganizes to reflect this real hierarchy.

  • Of a VBox OVF 0.9 to VMWare image with 2 hard drives

    Hello world

I'm trying to convert a VirtualBox 3.1.4 image with 2 hard drives with OVFTool 1.00 x 64 linux.

~/VirtualBox$ ovftool - noDisks MANAGER .ovf-SDM SDM - MANAGER .vmx

Source OVF opening: SDM - MANAGER .ovf

Target VMX opening: SDM - MANAGER .vmx

    Error:

-"3" of the "vim.vm.device.VirtualIDEController" device has been found. Only '2' permit

I can't find the solution to the problem. Could someone help me on this?

I added the ovf file to the post!

    Kind regards

    Jeroen van Hoef

    Hi Jeroen

A quick glance on the OVF, you have as far as I can see that you have 1 IDE controller using 'address = 1' this translates to be IDE 1 controller on the motherboard. Controllers IDE are the default devices you'll be controller IDE automatically get to address 0 defined for example the 0 on the motherboard IDE controller.

Second, you set the CD-ROM to use AddressOnParent = 0, which is the same disc 1 with InstanceId 8 AddressOnParent have.

A fix for your OVF is therefore to define a second controller ide like

    < item >

    < rasd:Caption > ideController0 < / rasd:Caption >

    < rasd:Description > IDE controller < / rasd:Description >

    < rasd:InstanceId > 20 < / rasd:InstanceId >

    < rasd:ResourceType > 5 < / rasd:ResourceType >

    < rasd:ResourceSubType > PIIX4 < / rasd:ResourceSubType >

    < rasd:Address > 0 < / rasd:Address >

    < rasd:BusNumber > 0 < / rasd:BusNumber >

    < / point >

map the drive to use it (you can do this by changing the Parent = 2) ide controller.

I saw a report on CBS news that copiers have hard drives must be removed prior to disposal. Home printers that I also have hard drives? I replaced my printer soon. Thank you!

    phitauken,

Dell inkjet printers do NOT have a hard drive, so there is no worry about trying to remove it.

Most of the printers that have a hard drive are laser printers.

  • I have three hard drives that I would keep spun down that I rarely access

I have three hard drives that I would keep spun down that I rarely access.  Everytime I open a program he feels the need to run all three discs.  This is not a HUGE problem if it does not lag the whole user interface until the last disc gave.

Resource monitor shows nothing.  It will also occur at random while I view media, he'll decide go upwards the other two disks, stop the film until they did.
This is incredibly annoying and kind of defeated the purpose.
    -Benjamin

He can turn them down but only until you do something else, and that they start up again.

Defrag, auto-sauvegardes, anti-virus may well be accessing records here and there...
