• Photoshop file save more than what it takes.

  Anyone else having a problem with Photoshop files save a lot too big? I'm trying to save a small jpg file. When I choose the image size is 300px x50px 43.9 k 72 dpi. When I save the file as a jpg file is 18 M, regardless if I decrease the image options, it's always 18 M. I reinstalled Photoshop and nothing helped.

  This could be caused if you save large amounts of metadata. Open the file jpg in Photoshop and under the file menu, select File Info and look at the properties sheet. Special attention to the raw data - you will find that you have hundreds of lines of what looks like Global identifier information. If this is the case try re-record the jpg file using save it for Web export with high quality filter, the maximum value. Open the file and look at metadata. If I reason it will have removed the nonsense and replaced with a few rows of data. The file size should be much smaller.

  I think maybe it's a coincidence, that nothing is installed with ExportPDF, so nothing should have changed your web browser. That said, you can clear the cache of the browser and then re-open your browser. (What browser do you use?)

  You can also try to restart your computer, if the browser is restarted does not solve the problem. But still, I don't think that this problem is related to the ExportPDF.

  I have a PDF form created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ARE 10.0.

  When I open in the player, all the 'Sign' options are grayed out.

  Comment is not allowed for dynamic XFA forms, but should be with static XFA.

  No, the format "in memory" is not saved on the disc, unless you manually choose to "save under".

  If you periodically save a jpeg version (by overwriting the older), without closing the file, changes to jpeg compression are not cumulative. The version "in memory" is kept. It's not as if you save it in jpeg format, close and reopen, in which case compression double jpeg would have occurred.

  If you want periodic stops in a long of an image editing session, it is best to save as psd, because saving layers, selections... It is also best if you work in 16-bit. If you save as a jpeg, the jpeg compression will be done only once, there will be no cumulative loss of quality.

  Is there a way to make the feature in menu file > save as and the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S behave exactly the same way.

  When you use the menu, the file opens automatically with the new name.  It it also automatically made a PSD file (if something photoshoppy did for her).  It also does not make a copy.

  When you use the keyboard, you must select the file type in the list.  It is not automatically open the file with the new name (frustrating if you are still editing).  And he always makes a copy.

  Is there a setting that I have on or off?  This behavior runs through the suite CS5, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

  Please send suggestions or advice to correct this.  It is so much easier to use the keyboard shortcuts, but takes more time because of the behavior.

  Yes the Ctrl + Alt + S is save as copy and Shift + Ctrl + S Save as.

  The Save as copy the shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + S) is an old shortcut used when photoshop

  could only save layered PSD files (other formats may not be registered with layers)

  and that's why the shortcut isn't in the menus, but it is still displayed in the

  keyboard shortcuts Editor, but does not say what the difference is.

  Save as copy (save a copy) in older versions of photoshop was as save a flattened copy

  of the file (if the record in one format other than psd), but now it mainly adds just the word copy

  unless you uncheck the box layers in the Save as dialog box.

• Impossible file, save as in Adobe Reader 9.1.2

  I have currently access my electricity and gas bill online and the two of them are always displayed in pdf format.  Unfortunately, since the Player 9.1.2, update I am more able to see the menu of the toolbar, normally above picture icon, then the file toolbar menu, the option Save under is not visible.  So, I can no longer save my bills for electricity and gas on my PC but may not be able to print them rather that is slightly beating the entire object to have my bills online!  Can anyone explain why I'm not able to see the file, save as option at all?  I asked my electricity and gas supplier and they tell me they can see very well for their purpose.  They are currently using Adobe Reader version 7.

  Go in the Tools menu and then choose customize toolbars.  Scroll the file toolbar, click the box beside the Save icon, and then click OK.

• Cropping creates the HUGE file - too big to save

  I am running PS CS3 and have developed a problem with trimming using the crop tool.

  When I crop an image like this:

  4368 x 2912 pixels (size in pixels 72.8 M)

  12.133 8.089 x inches, 360 ft

  size 250 960 KB

  I get a file like this:

  5760 pixels x 4320 (142.4 M dimension in pixels)

  16 x 12 inches, 360 ft

  size 2 145 800 KB

  This file is too big for the PS, then save.

  What is going on? I have not changed anything with the PS, except RAM adjusted according to reviews of Tim Grey.  I found an ad that says to reset preferences, so I tried, but it did nothing.

  Press the clear button in the Options bar for the crop tool and make sure you enter the correct units in each field!
