  It's probably because games are running in low resolution.  There are a few things you could do on your screen and specific games.

  This error started happening about 4 months ago.  I downloaded many games on Big Fish site and each of them has continued up to this point.  The specific error I get is "incorrect version of the file d3d8.dll, is missing or is damaged.  I understand that this file is inherent in DirectX 8, but I'm running Vista Ultimate with DirectX 10.  Not all games are affected, and has no rhyme or reason as to why.  Big fish customer help has no idea.  I hope that there is a patch, fix, or specific update of Vista that can solve this problem.

  What you do, are made gambling a right-click, choose Properties, choose compatibility, choose "run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose Windows XP Service Pack 2.  See if it works for you.

  If you are sure that these folders belongs to the game that you have already uninstalled, you can remove them completely. When you uninstall a program, sometimes some instances of the program such as the folder will remain in the PC and you can remove them manually.
