BIG PROBLEM of update Windows 8

I have had a problem with the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, downloaded the version of the offer for my new W500 Acer initially I wish not to keep something in the installation process and expected to format the disk and create a partition in my windows 7 is made on a new generation with an SSD drive on Desk top Machine.

I did the following

I created a bootable USB key with windows 8 download and reconfigure the Bios to boot from USB windows 8 has begun to start and went through the set up process will be asked not to keep something in the installation process, and got to a point where he said that there was not enough memory available , so I think that I did a very stupid thing and formatted the an SSD partition that contains windows 7 (it was an option to install the windows 8) now I have an empty partition of 29 GB (SSD of 32 GB on ACER W500) but the windows 8 not always install I tried to restore the system with the recovery disks copied to a USB device , but nothing happens.

I think I need to reinstall windows 7 How to do that, without the drive and only the product key can help you please, maybe I should have reduced my windows 7 program before installing the upgrade of Windows 8 I had a little less 7 GB free but no mention of what the minimum space required to install Windows 8 doesn't require until you get to a stage very critical.

Can you please help and give me some guidance as to what my options are . Can one provide a link to download windows 7 I have the product key, I have also contacted the manufacturer for advice as well.

I ordered a DVD USB drive to use the recovery disks provided with the computer, just in case the USB copy process was not the right thing to do, hope you can help me I don't know where to start would be very grateful for your help I did a really stupid thing by selecting format option in the installation of Windows 8. The small single partition is always present on the drive when starting it asks me to install disk system to undertake a repair? Obviously I have no recovery discs the same thing?

After much searching an answer to my own question. If you install windows 8 on a 32 GB SSD W500 Acer you must slim software installed to an acceptable level before trying the top grade in Windows 8, MS said that it requires 16 GB of space, as it is an upgrade only and requires windows 7, after the upgrade, you will find only a very small amount of space on the SSD drive , but you will also have a file called windows 7-old which is the backup of redundant files which I've been told can be deleted creating more usable space.

Yes, I did the system restore with recovery disks that turned the machine back to factory settings. Live chat by mail Microsoft seems very good as Acer support was excellent, very fast in providing information, I needed as well.  If you lose an installation Windows 7 disc, you can order a replacement of Microsoft (with a valid Product Code), but you cannot order a replacement if it is an OEM copy in this case, you should contact PC manufacturer for a set of disks of presbytery, if you have not received one with the PC.

    Hi zsaire,

Let us know the updates that need to be download.

First go through all the steps and then start troubleshooting.

Step 1: Check if Windows update-related services are set to automatic and started.

    % systemroot%\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}

If any of the files that begin with tmp exist in this folder, do not remove any other files. Files .cat in this folder are necessary for installing hotfixes and service packs.

Important: Do not rename the folder C:\windows\system32\catroot. The Catroot2 folder is automatically recreated by Windows, but the C:\windows\system32\catroot folder is not recreated if is renamed the folder C:\windows\system32\catroot.

Step 3: Reregister DLL files that are associated with Cryptographic Services

To register .dll files that are associated with Cryptographic Services, follow these steps:

  • G6 Pavilion: Pavilion g6 problems AFTER updating Windows 10 30 + days

I have several HP Pavilion g6 mobile phones that receive the upgrade to Windows 10 guest. The first laptop that I have upgraded to Windows 10 as a test worked very well during the period of 30 days a computer OS can be returned to Windows 7 SP1. Once Microsoft updated the Win 10 install 30 days post and removed the possibility of returning to Windows 7, I started having problems where left mouse clicking on the icon start in the toolbar has no effect.

I went to the HP site and discovered that HP had not tested the computer to win 10, as the only BIOS supported Windows 7 and HP does not have an interest in the update BIOS to win 10. If the problems continue, and HP does not update the BIOS or other drivers who have problems of compatibility of Windows 10, I have a year old perfectly good computer before it should be removed from junk food.

You have all the patches recommended for ease of use of the g6 with Windows 10 Pavilion? It was working perfectly before the upgrade of the Microsoft OS last 30 days.

    Richard

Without more than a number of model, if specific help can be offered.  There are a lot of portable G6, but I don't expect HP to issue a new BIOS for a model that is fairly old windows 10 test was not done.

That being said, there is no reason for "I have a year old perfectly good computer before it should be removed from junk food."  I have not heard of this particular problem before.  BTW: It will work well as before returning to the operating system Windows 7 using the set of disks of recovery or the recovery Partition with the F11 option at startup.

  • Big problem with update Vista

I write from my alternative system running the good old XP.  My system Vista Ultimate (a Pentium D 840 3.2 GHz with 4 GB of RAM) was download and try to install the latest updates.  After the installation, he said he would restart.  With the discontinuation of the screen came the message that it was installing 2 of 3 updates... more than 24 hours later, he always says he was installing updates so I stopped it.  Once I did I couldn't access is more Vista at all.  He is just cycled through the boot upward.  So I took out my Vista CD and decided to try to do a repair.  That didn't work so I did a clean load of Vista.  It loaded correctly, putting my old copy in a folder named Windows.old.  While I started to find all programs and drivers that I need to load Vista has been automatically download and installation of updates.  When he said it was installing the updates he wanted to restart.  BIG MISTAKE.  Now I'm at square one.  Vista does not load.  It passes right through the boot sequence.  What the hell is happening?

    Hello

Sorry, it took this measure. Don't forget Council to disable the driver updates, as it worked well
for me. Windows updates will tell me it is available and I then HIDE and fetch manually and
usually, I do have the latest drivers so the certified one free was actually older. This
procedure to keep the Windows updates on and not have to worry about an older driver
    loading.

    I always recommend this:

Leave the Windows updates on and stop the updates of the driver to load.

  • Problems of updating Windows 7 x 64 (which have not been able to update more than one year)

Hi all, I'm a newbie here.

So, as the title says, I have not been able to do an update on my Vaio more than a year.

All this started when I thought or could have a virus. I have everything backed up quickly & did a clean re-installation of my windows.

Since re-install I couldn't update. I tried to do the updates manually - some work, but the important ones which do not. I contacted Microsoft Support. They went through my laptop a few times & they can't even solve the problem. However, they told me I have corrupted files in my system that allow me to make updates or reinstall my windows to factory settings (Yes, I thought)

So my question is... How can I solve this problem? None...

    Anyone had this problem?

    Thanks, Denza.

  • Problem of update Windows - IO serial I2C ES controller

I have an Inspiron 11 3000 Series. Just ran Windows Update today and there was an optional update for 'Intel Corporation - other - Intel (r) Serial I2C IO ARE hardware controller' published on 13/05/2015. After that I installed it via Windows Update the Dell touchpad no longer works correctly. Touchpad becomes slow and unresponsive, and you cannot access the Synaptics settings more. Also, when you look in the Manager of devices it is gone and Serial I2C IO appears with a yellow exclamation point.

Had to go back to Manager device and the restoration of the driver for Intel IO I2C ES controller Serial (he returned to the 2013 rather than 2015 driver version), but now there is no more problems in Device Manager and the touchpad works fine after reboot.

What is "Serial IO I2C ES controller Intel" and what's with the last update that Microsoft is trying to push through Windows Update?

Update: after the upgrade to Windows 10 default system for the 2015 version of the Intel of the series ES I2C IO controller and once again, that it is presented with an error in the Device Manager and Tablet touchscreen Dell did not appear and was not working properly.

This time there was no option to roll back the driver. I had to click on Update Driver > Browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer > I was presented with 3 options which was simply called controller I2C Intel. I chose that one installed and the error went away and immediately after Dell Touchpad also appeared in Device Manager and began to work properly.

I checked the version of the driver that was installed using the method above, and it's the same thing Dell has on its support page.

If for some reason any Microsoft keeps trying to install an incompatible driver for this device which causes problems.

Asked this question in the Windows 7 forum also because the problem was between windows 7 and Vista.

    Hello

If it has started, you can try a system restore - an update "might" have caused the problem.

    1. try a system restore back to a point before that happened. And immediately thereafter enter
Control Panel - Windows updates - top left settings and set it to download and informs you instead
Automatic. Leave it until you are sure that everything is OK and then you can add them one at a time
to troubleshoot BUT click right on and HIDE all the driver updates. Also stop at day of drivers like below
and let this value - manually search for drivers when you think you need. (See how and why to)
    stop day of drivers below.)

To uninstall an update if you determine that there are problems - Panel - updated Windows - down left-
    Updates installed - uninstall

I had completely forgotten the system restore!  While looking into the system restore, I found that when I moved into my new House and has cable Internet installed, the cable technology installed a program of comcast on my computer.  This caused me to not be able to connect with other computers.  After rolling back to install it before it works!   Thank you.
