  Thank you.  I'll do it and change my Windows Update settings.  BUT, FYI, in an act even more incredible, the same night I posted my question here, my computer was said upload, and I was still in place at 03:00 (when Windows is set to d/l and install updates).  I went to the kitchen for a bit and returned to my computer to find a countdown - he downloaded updates and "will re-start in 7 minutes" or so and counting down...   Locks are the result of poorly coded application; fix is to change the application code that results in the locks

  I NEVER auto restart my Production databases.
