binary bit test

Hello

I need to test every binary bits using the following logical equation.

How can I do this?

((var & (1

For example

If var = 0111 and bits = 2 (starting at 0), so third bit of the var is 1 and shift by two

are equal, this equation will produce TRUE for third bit.

I need things to do

1. I need to compare each binary bit

2. the result should be in binary bit programming.

Can someone show me how?

Thank you in advance,

Do

In the digital > pallet of data manipulation, ist here it logic shift function to move a little.  You can also do a Boolean logic on the integers.

It is usually done with some interesting masking (with AND) or the definition of the bits (with the GOLD) and the logical shift.

  • Import from 64-bit to 32-bit

    Hi all

I want to do an exp/imp comes from a basic oracle 11.2.0.2 64-bit to a database 11.2.0.2 oracle 32-bit. The two are on an OEL (64 5.6 and 5.7 32 bits)
I was examined in all support Oracle and read the following note:

How to use the export and import during the transfer of data across platforms or servers on 32-bit and 64-bit [277650.1 ID]

This, I understand that this is possible, but I don't know how. Can I do the exp with the binary 64 bit and then just import with the binary 32 bits on 32-bit server, or do we I have imp with a 64 binary bits in the 32-bit database?

    Thanks for the tips!

    solved!

Guard clamp upwards mozilla responds don't not etc - someone at - it ideas?

Support for Windows 10 of Firefox will be more fully realized version 40 this is the 39 version.

40 Firefox will not be finalised for a few weeks, but if you are already running Windows 10 maybe you're an 'early adopter' and he won't mind using a beta-test version.

First of all, I suggest you a backup of your file of main parameters (profile). This article has tips on it: back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

Then the beta version is available on the next page (scroll down to your preferred language): https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all/

In case you're wondering, the traditional criterion of the 32-bit version will take care of all of your regular plugins; the version 64-bit test barely has plug-ins available and perhaps a few other work through compatibility issues.

  • Best practices for the handling of data for a large number of indicators

I'm looking for suggestions or recommendations for how to better manage a user interface with a 'large' number of indicators. By big I mean enough to make schema-block big enough and ugly after that the processing of data for each indicator is added. Data must be 'unpacked' and then decoded, for example, Boolean, binary bit shifting fields, etc. The indicators are updated once / sec. I'm leanding towards a method that worked well for me before, that is, binding network shared variable for each indicator, then using several sub-vis to treat the particular piece of data, and write in the appropriate variables.

I was curious what others have done in similar circumstances.

    Bill

I highly recommend that you avoid references.  They are useful if you need to update the properties of an indicator (color, police visibility, etc.) or when you need to decide which indicator update when running, but are not a good general solution to write values of indicators.  Do the processing in a Subvi, but aggregate data in an output of cluster and then ungroup for display.  It is more efficient (writing references is slow) - and while that won't matter for a 1 Hz refresh rate, it is not always a good practice.  It takes about the same amount of space of block diagram to build an array of references as it does to ungroup data, so you're not saving space.  I know that I have the very categorical air about it; earlier in my career, I took over the maintenance of an application that makes excessive use of references, and it makes it very difficult to follow came data and how it got there.  (By the way, this application also maintained both a pile of references and a cluster of data, the idea being that you would update the front panel indicator through reference any time you changed the associated value in the data set, unfortunately often someone complete either one or another, leading to unexpected behavior.)

  • Converts a string (float single precision) in decimal

    Hello

I use reading series base and write vi to communicate with a device.  The answer I receive (shown in hexadecimal format) is 4606 8D3B, which from what I understand (this discussion: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/string-to-number-conversion-a-very-interesting-observation/m-p/32170... ) the data is not actually hexadecimal but rather binary and appears just hex for the user.

My camera manual says that this information is "Float - 4-byte ANSII standard simple precision, low to high" and I'm trying to convert this string to a decimal value.  (it should be 0.004 or e-3 xx 4)  So far I've written a program that separates the bytes in a table of 4 bytes, each binary converts and then separate all binary bits and try to group return the binary bits in the exponent and the mantissa to calculate the value, but it seems rather convoluted and I hope that there is a more simple function in that all this is done automatically.  Also, since the answer is low to high, I understand that I must first return the number of 3B8D 0646 make high to low, but I think I did that already, it's just the conversion that I do not know how.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

  • Interpretation of data from stereo camera Bumblebee (PointGrey)?

Hi, first noted that I read the discussion at http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=11236

I am able to access the above stereo camera through my RESUME very well (using IMAQdx) and set it up through MAX. I am also able to access any of the cameras individually by using the option of Pan at MAX (I think I could set this on-the-fly by program, but I'll leave that for another time, less important now.

This is based on the information of PointGrey Research Inc. at http://www.ptgrey.com/support/kb/index.asp?a=4&q=312&ST=bumblebee

The same page also shows that if I place the stereo camera Bumblebee to use Format_7 Mode 3, the resulting 16 - bit image contains 8 bits of the camera on the left and 8 bits of the right camera. I checked (I think) that this is the case, since when I run a drain to the MAX with this mode, I am able to 'white-out' the display of the right camera covering the LEFT camera. And no, this camera no balancing light or such, as a confirmed it by covering the right camera.

So, my question is how can I retrieve this information? A simple matter of data manipulation, I think, but I'm stumped. For now I understand I probably can't do it using the screw IMAQ, would it be necessary to have a loop for, go through the binary bits and separate them? The info about what additional image, how do I know what it takes NOT to separate?

So conclusion, I have a thread of data type Image that contains a 16-bit image, and I would only split into 2 images to 8-bit based on the above.

Based on the advice of the manufacturer of the camera, I have extracted the appropriate data successfully, but now have a new problem, which I will present as a new thread.

For the record, I've used the IMAQdx get Image data VI to extract the raw (16 bit uint) image data and the split table with Decimate 1 d Array to two tables, their resize to the size of array appropriate 2D (640 x 480 for my case).

  • Can I dig deeper for info OS?

    Hello

    Part 1

Using the Get - VM and Get-VMGuest, I can get a range of elements. However what I can't do are things like:

    -Service Pack installed

-The person who created the virtual machine?

-Last connection to the machine (person id)

Are these pieces of information available IF the virtual machine runs via a feature of vmware tools in the guest OS? (i.e. to assume vmware tools is installed and the virtual machine is running)

    Part 2

Some of our ESX are old, i, e, 3.5 rather than 4.0, I guess that means I don't think OS Info? or there is another way?

There are 2 other options to get the info on the guest operating system (and I guess that your guest operating system is a Windows operating system).

    (1) the guest operating system is accessible, then you can use the Get-WmiObject cmdlet to get this information

    Get-WmiObject-class Win32_OperatingSystem - ComputerName MyPC | Select *.

    (2) the guest operating system is not available, then use the Invoke-VMScript cmdlet to browse the Get-WmiObject inside the guest OS the VMware Tools (which must be installed).

    $vm = get-VM-name MyVM

    Invoke VMScript - VM $vm - ScriptType PowerShell - ScriptText "Get-WmiObject-class Win32_OperatingSystem".

To get information about who created the virtual machine, you can use the Get-VIEvent cmdlet and look for entries VMCreatedEvent .

There are several examples of these methods in this community.
