Black film Maker screen with videos

Hi, I recently got a new computer windows 7 and I love it, but windows movie maker works, it imports videos and read the sound but no video (black screen) in the drive, and when I export them they come out black with audio that is supposed to be there, any help would be greatly appreciated by me.

also Movie maker does with all types of video, Ive tried also these codec packs and they have done nothing, I went as far as to reinstall windows (since I was a disc) and it still does not work. Help, please

What version of Windows 7 are you running?

Have you tried to convert video to WMV format
before you import into Windows Live Movie Maker?

Have you tried updating your video driver?

  • Cannot get full screen with videos uTube

    I bought a Mac mini-opportunity 2.1 mid-2007, 1.83 GB and 2 GB of ram.  OS 10.6.8 using Safari I can watch videos, but when I click on full screen, I get a message stating that the browser does not support.  I am using a VGA monitor.    On my iMac desktop computer when that was under snow leopard, I don't remember the problems with the mode full-screen.  So I wonder, is there an add-on I need?

    I had an update today on my version of the Skype android tablet. Before the update, I have not had any problems to make video calls. Now the other user can hear me, but only sees a green screen.     Ahh, this one. I see...

    The beauty of this combination, that the slider (1) starts with a full height and width slider, (2) switches to just a (full-width) the size of the item to scroll and (3) also supports the video to use as content.

    As by chance, someone else on this forum recently came with a sort very similar examples: Nevis Marine and generation media Africa Odyssey, all showing the same combination. Read the discussion for clues how to operate in Muse.

  • Unable to use Movie Maker 2.1 to make my own video compilations of my videos converted families (converted with USB 2.0 TV BOX - InterVideo WinDVR).

    I use a USB 2.0 TV BOX (its software is "InterVideo WinDVR") to activate my old family videos VHS and DVR (VCR/DVD via RCA cables drive) of video files.

    The files are anywhere from 4 or 5 MB .5MB (mainly), with one or two files like 7MB, depending on the family event.

    Once I created the new video files, I have no problem to watch with Windows Media Player (and they look beautiful, as there was almost no loss of photo quality and or sound in the transfer at all - very very nice).

    Then I will import the video clips/files newly created in Movie Maker (I have Movie Makers version 2.1). in order to make new compilations video, eager to add effects and transitions and music in Movie Maker.

    The newly created files seem to import no problem... but when I try to preview... the sound plays very well but there is no video... only in black on the preview screen (the few times I tried this I had to close Movie Maker).

    I tried moving them dirrectly to the timeline and then see them and play a clip, but then when I clicked the back button to replay the same thing above occurs, black in the preview with sound window.

    I did some reading online to try to understand, and...

    I tried to import the file/clip directly on the timeline and then finishing/recording on my computer and then importing the wma file that results, but the same thing, black with sound.

    What am I what am I doing wrong or what do I need get this working... grandmas are starting to nag... lol

  • Windows Vista starts with only a black screen with the mouse pointer.

    Saturday, 02/27/10, I left my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1405 E) because I used Studio to produce a couple of videos.  When I got up in the morning, he himself had closed.  I tried to put on normally, and he said: recovery error windows, then on lists: Launch Startup Repair tool and start windows normally.  I tried to do a repair, but it just comes back to the same screen.  When I try to boot normally, it shows the progress on the background as usual bar, but then he comes up to a black screen with a mouse pointer.  When I run one of the many diagnostic tests, it is said that the BIOS cannot find the operating system loader.  I'm pretty adept at computers, but nothing I've tried before reinstalling Vista works.  I have files that I need to keep it on the computer, and only a few of them are saved.  Please help me soon, as I need for my school musical production on Thursday.

    is CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it.
    then on the tab Applications - lower right - new task - the type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is
    accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times.

    base. That there is no information on a black screen as there is just a blue screen
    adds to the difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect.

    my screen said to check the file system on D the type of file system is NTFS volume lable in recovery, one of your disks needs to be checked for consistency.  You can cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue. Window to check the disk, then there a blue screen that says it was shut down to avoid damage and that a crucial thread in the system operation is released or terminated and to check the hardware or software that can be installed properly, then he did a crashdump and completed it. then he went to a black screen with a cursor of Charlotte on top and that's all he does now when I turn on the right after Gateway logo, he goes to this black screen with blinking cursor.     No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
    are a few others.

    You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
    Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
    Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

    Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

  • Impossible to load windows, just get a black screen with cursor

    I restarted my computer and now Windows will not load. It happens on the screen says 'Windows' in the bottom with green bars. Then it goes to a blank screen with a cursor to work. I left alone for a bit to see if she would just take a while to load and the screen saver came, that works, but I cannot get it on my desk.

    has tried.

    One to try:

    "C:\Windows\System32\winevt" in this folder is an another NEWSPAPER named one

    Rename the folder of NEWSPAPER LOGSold and restart the computer.

    'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs'-> 'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold '.

    REN C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold

    You can try in a Command Prompt of a disk of Vista or a recovery Partition if you can't navigate to
    the actual winevt file.

  • Windows starts, but does not charge not (black screen with cursor)

    [Sorry for the long post, but I feel the need to explain my situation]

    I have the following problem:

    I turn on my PC, and Windows shows it is normal loading screen, then it goes in a completely black screen, with just the mouse in the middle. By the size of the cursor, I can say that it is in a low resolution, probably 800 x 600 (compared to my usual 1920 x 1080). I am able to movements of the mouse, but with no particular purpose without something to click on. No other keyboard input seems to work, except for press SHIFT 5 times, which shows the keys dialog box to self-retaining (with just 'yes' or 'No' options, no other connection); and Windows key + U, which shows the ease of access Center. CTR + Alt + Del does NOT work.

    So far, that's what I tried (in chronological order):

    1. Start in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with network, safe mode with command prompt Mode, start low resolution video, last known good configuration: all give the same result as to start normally.
    2. Repair of your computer:
      1. Startup Repair: find the registry errors (I realized and fixed this more later on)
      2. System Restore: did not find any previous restore points (I know with certainty that there is, I took the habit of making regular restore points).
      3. Windows memory diagnostic: not found error.
      4. Command prompt:
        1. Ran the command chkdsk /f r, has no error report.

    I have a Windows 7 Pro machine that boots to a black screen with a cursor instead of the login prompt, but if I press some keys like enter and tab that I will get a few blue squares where probably windows are appearing.

    I can boot into safe mode and log in. I can then disable or uninstall the video card and the boot into normal windows. But if I install the Intel to the HD3000 integrated video drivers, the black screen will be there waiting for me when I reboot.

    I tried with and without external monitors connected.

    I tried to uninstall the drivers in the menu programs and features (also selection to completely remove the drivers), and I uninstalled them through Device Manager. I then reboot before installing the Intel drivers again. I tried the version on the site Web of Panasonic, as well as the latest version of the Intel Web site. Results have been the same every time.

    Are there left behind somewhere that I could try to remove registry keys? Perhaps a more thorough removal method? Something more creative? All ideas welcome!
