Windows fails to load. That it recharges on normal startup. Hangs on a black screen with a cursor in repair mode.

I was in my class and hit the computer on the desk. I turned it and then turn it on again now, this problem occurs. It's a Toshiba, and Toshiba normal screen comes up and takes me to the screen "windows failed to load. When I choose to start windows normally, it hangs on the Green loading bar before you restart thereafter. I have it on the repair of the system right now, but he is suspended on a black screen with a cursor and nothing else.

Hello

Since then, he has been the "Crash test" the help of a computer store real (not the leeks and glances at a BestBuy

material and it is doubtful that all the efforts of software will work even if it is remotely possible.

The problem may come from the damage or corruption of the hard drive for the next message will be directly related to

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
field efforts.

Here's a video of one of them.

Here's another fix

You have a Vista disk? You can try restoring the system to it. If you do not have your system disks
manufacturer will sell them at low prices. Or try in safe mode if you can get there.

You can create a recovery disc or use someone even version (to do the system restore there only to)

These require the correct Vista discs since you can not start safe mode.

If necessary and you can access all ordinary Windows.

You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation (if all goes well
saves the data, and you need to reinstall the programs). Be sure to do a good backup or three.

You can use another DVD that are not protected but you will need to copy you have the product key.

  • Why Windows 7 setting would deliver a black screen with the cursor visible before you load the Office?

I had a very unusual event this morning.  I am running Windows 7 on a desktop computer.  On startup, I reached the login screen and proceeded to connect to my name.  Prior to loading the desktop computer, however, I was in a black screen with the cursor visible.

    1. I am able to load successfully under another user ID.
    2. I am able to boot in safe mode (with networking) using my own code.
    3. I did a system restore with no luck.  The problem persists.
    4. I don't think it's a driver issue because it would affect the two IDS and who does not.
    5. I have a touch screen and the white slider moves even in the place where I touch.  (what works)

    Issues related to the:

    1. what "custom" setting would result in a shift of the display of this type?

    2. If I go to Windows 8, will I have the opportunity to 'reset' my display options?  Or it will automatically upgrade to the wrong setting?

Thank you.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your solution.

The problem turned out to be the result of a combination of events.

    1. I did a change of media display a week ago but never restarted.
2 MS did the periodic security update that rebooted the machine overnight.
    3. the update may have actually been in the middle of the installation when I got to my machine in the morning.
    4. when the screen has not responded, I restarted manually by pressing the power button.

Ultimately, I was able to access Task Manager and found several instances of several components running.  When I "force stop" several of them, the office completed and I was in business.

I still have the wide black border around my 'Live TV' screen in Windows Media Center, but that's another question for another time.

Once again, thank you for the time spent to help me.

    Best regards

  • HP G72-227 WM won't boot to Windows 7. Goes to a black screen with a cursor.

My laptop is a little older than a year.  Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. When you try to start, F11 to get to Recovery Manager does not work. It's just a black screen with a cursor.  The version of the BIOS F.17. Conducted tests of diagnostics and everything going on.  Lost my boot drive. Borrowed from a friend but it is not going to fix the problem. When you run the Startup Repair tool, it is said that if you have recently attached a device to this computer, such as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer.  There is no device connected but it keeps coming back.  System Restore has tried the borrowed boot disk and it does not restore the message gives that an unspecified error occurred during system restore. (0x8000ffff).

    Hello

If you still have the startup disk that you have borrowed, boot from it again, select repair your computer and choose the command prompt.  When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.

    Bootrec.exe

    bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    c:

    Boot CD

    BCD attrib s h - r

    Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

    Bootrec /fixmbr

Remove the startup disk and try to restart the laptop.

  • Black screen with white cursor. Impossible to load Windows or even download a new copy

I had Windows Vista on my computer and I got a virus. None of the antivirus working to clean the infected files and clips failed as well. So I decided to run repair system and it to halfway through, my office has crashed. I turned it our with the restoration of the vista disk and has no load. Then I attepmted to install a new copy of windows 7. It wouldn't load and I still get the black screen with the white cursor. I have therefore load Linux Mint and it seems that I can only have linuc on the computer. I deleted all lartitions because the partitions have been affected by the virus. Help, please. I need windows 7!

    Hello

    1. when exactly this problem?

2 did you change on your computer?

I suggest you remove any external devices.

I also suggest you insert the DVD and try to install windows 7.

I also suggest you to go BIOS and select CD/DVD boot as the option your priority and check.

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

I suggest you to follow the links and check out how to install windows 7.

  • Windows Vista does not start. The BIOS loads then black screen with blinking cursor.

So my friend told me that his PC was not working. When you press the power button on the pc, the screen of the Dell BIOS load but instead of starting then Vista it shows just a black screen with a blinking cursor. Still, the BIOS detects the hard drive and has the ability to boot from it, but it just that again. I tried the recovery disk windows, and when you click on the "Repair" option when it loaded usually shows a list of the operating systems installed and their hard drives. There is no listed on the Vista recovery cd. Manually, you can browse and find the partition from the OS than its sequel, and clearly see the windows directories. It all simply not start, nor let the recovery disk to fix it because the operating system is not detected. I plugged the hard drive on my pc with the same results. Then I started my Win 7 and Explorer, disks and partitions are once again still visible with the appropriate directories. Windows says the drive is working properly and has no file system errors. When viewing in the hardware Manager, he says it's healthy (primary, active partition). My hard drive working correctly says healthy (boot, pagefile, primary partition). Why used it boot and why the recovery disk not recognize the operating system and how can I fix it or do I need to format and reinstall vista?

    Hello

You can try the troubleshooting provided in the link below steps to fix the problem.

Windows Vista or Windows 7 unbootable, and the Startup Repair tool does not resolve the problem

  • Windows Vista installation disc: Black screen with a cursor and then nothing happens

A blue screen appears when I try to start Windows and I'm trying to fix the computer through my installation disc I have. But when I try to run my Vista disk installation happening by loading the files fine. It then shows a black screen with a mouse cursor that moves. After that, nothing happens even if I leave it for hours to sit. It is a real disk Installation of Microsoft for Vista.

If a clean installation of a real Installation of Vista disc does not work, then you probably have some kind of hardware problem (and the blue screen, you got before makes this even more likely).  You can try to do some troubleshooting on your own hardware, but frankly you probably put "t have tools or spare parts to do very much.  Here are some instructions that may help:http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.

If this does not work, then I suggest that you take it to a repair shop of computer with a good reputation for the service where they can troubleshoot, diagnose, identify and possibly repair or replace the problem.  Before you import it in, I suggest that you protect your important data, as it is likely that they will wipe the hard drive clean in the process.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD.  This should hopefully give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.  Otherwise, slave the drive to another computer and copy the data in this way.

I'm sorry, we can not help more, but from your description there is no option of software if you do not have to do a clean install of an Installation of Vista genuine disc.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Computer won't turn on completely (black screen with blinking cursor) after installing windows updates

8/7, the following updates have been installed correctly:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x 86

Update definition for Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.63.1021.0)

Following this installation, the display resolution has been reset to be very low.  When you try to reset the resolution, I was alerted to a driver problem, so tried installing this in vain (below error code)

Intel Corporation - display - Intel (r) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

    Error details: Code 800703E3

After that, he went to sleep the computer, but was unable to select 'sleep' (it is grayed out) but the stop keys option indicates that the updates were ready to install so I stop thinking which may help.  It was last night.  This morning, the computer was on, seen the screen DELL, then a black screen with flashing white cursor in the upper left corner.  I tried ctrl-alt-del, got the dell screen appears again, then black screen.  I tried ctrl-alt-del, thinking I could try one of the options key F at this time, but he won't even go to this point, the dell blank screen just screen.

Any ideas would be very appreciated!  It is the second major problem that I had recently after updates vista install (the last time I temporarily lost access to all my files, because they were placed under a temporary user account that had been created!)

    Thank you!

  • Windows 7 black screen with the cursor on the linen. 3-5 minutes long

I have an Elitebook 8740w HP with Windows 7 which takes longer than 5 minutes to start. It will sit on a black screen with the mouse (which moves), until finally, it loads the login screen. The netsvcs group takes up to 900 MB + of ram and possibly the computer overheating? and turns off immediately. I think it may be issued a driver. This is the last log to start the laptop. The machine works fine in safe mode.

In addition, no major change was to the PC.

  • Windows 7 black screen with the cursor of the mouse in normal mode and safe

    Hi all
    I hope someone can help.
Laptop downloaded updates and after the restart will only go to a black screen with the mobile mouse cursor.
This occurs in safe mode, normal mode.
I tried all variations of safe mode and still the same thing happens.
Last known configuration does not solve. (i.e. no restoration or image to enter)
Using the vista win7 dvd upgrade or a linux dvd and screen appears as you expect his obvious system is very good.
I tried the options on ctrl alt del, ctrl shift esc etc etc, but I cannot go into Control Panel, or a any part of the win7 GUI.
Best I can do is access via the command-line... any thoughts on how to fix?

    Hello

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

You can try the following steps and check whether the problem is resolved.

You can disconnect all external devices except the keyboard and mouse and check if you are able to boot to the desktop and check.

I also recommend what to do the Startup Repair. Follow these steps:

To perform a Startup Repair follow these steps:

    1. Insert the DVD of Windows 7 and restart the computer.

    2. when we are asked to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.

    3. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    4. click on repair your computer.

    5. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

Access the link below for more information on the Startup Repair:

  • Windows 8 will not start, violation of CPD watchdog, freezes on login/black screen with no cursor.

I'm in my intelligence ends right now haha.

In December, I bought a PC mainly for gaming
basic specifications are: GTX 770 2 GB
    Intel i7 4770 k
    16 GB of ram
I use windows 8 - and it happens when I start my pc I get the screen of the bios/Mo to be greeted with a black screen or a frozen login screen which then proceeds to a BSOD with error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.
I solved this problem several times but he returns
The first time that it was because of windows download old graphics drivers through automatic updates, so there was a pilot clash and windows wouldn't load, so I fixed that by just go into safe mode and uninstall said drivers. It happened again a week later, but had automatic updates and had not downloaded a new software/firmware...
So I did the same thing once again, just uninstall some drivers and everything was going well until I tried to restart my computer and just again got the bsod...
Could this be something else? SSD firmware? Device Manager indicates its up-to-date.
Something more - my integrated gpu does not work (screen does not receive a signal) if it seems a little suspicious.
I cannot uninstall the nvidia drivers (which seem to be the problem) and therefore can not solve my problem.
ANY help appreciated. Knowing me I am probably missing something super base hehe
We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
We prefer at least 2 DMP files to track trends and to confirm the cause.

Please follow our instructions to find and download the files, we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found at here

If you have any questions regarding the procedure, please ask

    Just curious, are you overclocking?

  • Windows 7 black screen with the cursor hangs

    Hello
Windows 7 downloaded automatically updated and now what pc (sony vioa) starts going menu with 1. Repair Windows or 2. Start as usual.  Neither option works and the screen goes black, cursor appears after about 2 min and then the pc hangs (does nothing).  I can't start the repair or recover it and can seem to do anything at all. Sytem same disk does not start.
    Help please!

    Ian - mi,
If you are not able to start with an option among the Advanced startup options.  Then you must see if you are able to start with the support of recovery (dvd or disk partition) supplied with the PC.  You can try the options of repair first, since the recovery media.  If those who do not help then you will need to re - install.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers
