  If above does not help, you can read the following steps to disable the active desktop on the computer and check:

  a. to disable Active Desktop.

  I've updated a thinapp method update next.  The application opens fine in the updated version, but there is a black CMD screen that comes first and it remains open.  Once the thinapp opened, we found that it's ok to close the CMD screen.  Can I do to stop this black screen display?  I know that as move us along and update some thinapps this raises questions among users.  Next door is the best way of updating a thinapp without worrying about users?  Thank you!!

  And it's true... It's the data container that contains the software update, so it should be updated with update in place (or next)...

  I recently received the Portege M400 from a friend 4 days ago and reformatted for Windows XP Tablet Edition.
  Everything's fine until I wanted to move the laptop to my coffee table, but as soon as I move the laptop it freezes, the screen goes black and the fan speed increases dramatically.
  So far I have had no success in the resolution of this problem and I really appreciated, is that someone could help me!

  Can't do anything with it. Can not connect, cannot turn off. Nothing. Totally frozen. This occurred after a driver update. Any suggestions or is it dead?

  I was able to make it work. I had to hold the key to power + 15 seconds to power off. Then I attached the keyboard. I booted up and it came in portrait mode with the connected keyboard. I connected it but the monitor came in portrait, which is really weird when the display is connected to a keyboard. So, I have attached a mouse for easier movement of the cursor. I went to the display settings and changed landscape which is how I use it in tablet mode. Locked the landscape view. Stop. Removed the keyboard. Started and connected. Display came in landscape mode so everything is GTG. I guess that Intel display driver update default portrait mode Tablet without a keyboard. Don't know why I wasn't able to get the login box appears without the keyboard. Maintain 300 black loading other software and I had left no processor. In any case, as I wrote above all is GTG at least for the moment. If nothing else I learned something about Intel display updated driver on a tablet or 2 in 1.

  I've owned my HP 13 Stream for over a year now, but since I have opened in the area of and and tried to change my wallpaper to the default values, there simply, solid black. All I want to do is put a wallpaper that I might enjoy is not just this dull Uni background or one of those who came prepackaged with the netbook.

  Any help would be appreciated as possible solutions, I tried did not help. I follow my OS updated and I am careful with what I do online, in addition to cleaning regularly and checking viruses and malware.

  First of all, try to review the following information and let me know how it goes:

  Open Control Panel and select "Ease of access" Center. Then, click on the link "Optimize Visual display". Scroll down until you find "Make the computer easier to see" section. Once found, make sure that remove background images (if any) is not checked. Save, apply, exit.
