    I have two blackberry device and I love it: z10 and q10. My z10 is perfect, everything is OK and I happy when it is used, but the other device is terrible (q10), I lost all data every time that reset it and reset when the led color is blue (z10 reset is red), when I wipe two device, z10 using the menu option and is not q10, I have searched a lot of Google but not found one certainly answer , so please tell me: my q10 is a test-phone for dev and not for sale? (blue LEDs and data loss when not reset, no menu option when wipe) or it is a device of official. Sorry for my bad English, kind glance of vietnam

    My 8520 went in the hand washing and had good soaking! At out the battery, dried everything in airing cupboard with rice. First on reboot scrool doesn't work after that 3 weeks, that she's alive again screen too dark, but I do not see... also brands of water inside the screen

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart"

    Sorry if this question has been asked elsewhere but I searched and could not find an answer the applies to my particular situation.

    I have a Z10 on Bell who got an automatic update this morning (I have no note of my operating system version number or the version that I was updating to) and the phone is locked to the prompt "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart."  Update messages said it would take a lot of time and that I should connect my phone if it was less than 20% of battery.

    The Bell's Web site indicates that the version of the software is 10.3.2.2168 and the latest version of the OS is 10.3.2.2252.  I don't know how many times this site is updated, but I guess that's the version that I am trying to update?

    The phone is not fixed... I can see messages turn on the lock screen and interact with the phone to get a glimpse of these messages, but if I try to unlock the phone, the message block appears above any function, I tried to launch (whether a text message, the camera, an email, etc) and I can't interact with the phone at that time otherwise than to lock again and open the lock screen up.

    At the time wherever I drag, the prompt.

    The prompt on the phone for about 6 hours now.  The battery was full this morning and had exhausted 70%, but I've since plugged.

    I have not tried a batt pull because I'm afraid of the consequences of this action after the launch of the update.

    Everyone knows this and had the phoen back? I know that 6 hours is well past any reasonable wait times in my books and was strongly tempted to restart the device... but is there here experts who recommended that I continue to wait?

    I forgot to mention that the power button was still working to give the ability to power off the unit.

    In the end, I couldn't wait any longer.  I put off the device "no risk" with the power button, rather than using the battery pull method.  I turned on the camera back later and the blackberry logo appeared.  The screen faded faded black and no lights appeared on the phone.

    I could hit to swipe down to get the blackberry logo to return to the screen, but no startup loading progress screen never wouldn't come.

    I could never get to the home screen, but the phone was actually 'ON' below.  I could call the phone and it should sound, but there is no visual indication that the phone was working and there was no way to respond.  Sliding down to unlock simply revealed the word "blackberry" in the middle of the screen.

    I did a Batt pull and this time, the logo appeared as before, but disappeared forever... and then the progress of boot screen appear.

    The words 'from 10 Blackberry OS' were visible on the bottom and rotate it beween this and "install updates".

    Start-up took a LOT of time (15-20 minutes?) but after that, everything was fine.

    Displayed software update version information and it is indeed updated to 10.3.2.2168.

    I realized that Q10 is not an application of podcast pre-loaded like the past 3 blackberry devices, I had before!
    Can someone please suggest a decent Podcast app that works like that of my BB 9930?
    I enjoy podcasts and I think they are a growing trend... Not sure why BB decided not to include a player Podcast on the new Q and Zed, but for someone like me, it is necessary...

    Help, please! I have a Torch 9800 - started to download the new operating system and was not successful - instead, my phone won't work no - app error 200 shows. I've tried a soft reset and also removed the battery (several times)... when I connect to Desktop Manager, my computer does not recognize that I am connected. I'm going on vacation and really NEED my phone - and would appreciate all help... Thank you

    At this point, you have to reconnect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software to get anywhere with your phone.  Take a look at this article from RIM:

    Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

    Seriously I need your help fast!  Im going first on Saturday and my Blackberry Bold 9900 won't turn on!  A few days ago my Blackberry battery emptied very quickly! I used to charge it all night and then when I woke up it's only 3/4 battery left! STRANGE! But anyway, then I when I went to school I texted my classmates that I am at school. I used to put my phone in to school. And when I got out, I discovered a STRANGE surprise! My phone would not turn!  Very well, I came home and I loaded all day well nearly! I'm used to it until today. A with my mated said because I load it too much on the night and a blackberry takes about 3 hours to recharge, it can . So I loaded the morning. I had 1/4 left! So I've dealt with him and went to school. When I arrived home and are charged my phone it not light. So yes it died completely! As always.  But then I left it loads for a time came it turned on and the red LED flashes. So I left up to now to load, but when I try to start the same thing is happening that shows a red LED! I took out the battery and waited 10 seconds, but still nothing happens! PLEASE

    I ONCE HAD A REQUEST THAT I THOUGHT CAUSED THE PROBLEM I REMOVED IT TUESDAY RESTARTED THE PHONE AND NOTHING HAVEN'T CHANGED SINCE THEN, PLEASE HELP ME!

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

    This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

    It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

    The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

    I was wondering if someone could help I have tried everything to fix the error 552 on my curve 8520 but nothing works, and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I tried apploader now it says device current is updated, office says unable to connect to the device (from the outset) software and the phone does nothing except sitting on a white screen with "software reloading 552" written on it.

    Could someone please help?

    As your device does not detect that you can try the Application loader to force detection of your device to load the operating system, please see the Knowledge Base Article:

    KB10144 : How to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader

     

    But remember, in this process, you will lose all data in your device, I hope you have your backup.

    Further information: KB18751 : error "Reload Software: 552" appears on the smart phone BlackBerry.

    You have a few things in there, but I'll start with this. These forums are not a formal support of the RIM channel. They are rather a user forum where volunteers try to troubleshoot other kind souls at best. Therefore, what you get here is in no way part of your official support (which you can get from your wireless service provider that can degenerate officially your case in RIM if necessary).

    Accurate and complete error messages are always better... There are some things to look for, but no research is effective without the specific error message, including any punctuation.

    I need expert help in this area. My friend had gifted me a unloacked AT & T Blackberry Torch 9800, 6.0 Bundle 2647 (v6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223) (just yesterday upated). I used it fine until lately, I have encountered this problem. Whenever I put a little too much pressure on the top slider and push downwards (to close the cursor) the device automatically restarts. I have to be very careful in closing the slider really and I have to slowly slide down and gentely as possible.   Ask you please guide me how can I fix. I'm currently working in Bhutan and have not all stores blackberry here. Help, please...
