BlackBerry 10 Q10 does not level of 10.2

This is my first time ever in a 'tech' forum, so if the problem that I have an answer somewhere on this forum, please accept my appolgies in advance for not not looking more closely

My OS Q10 is 10.1.0.4189.  I tried to update the 10.2 since it was introduced last month but LINK BB or "over the air" the message is the same "you have the latest version of the software.

I tried the normal start of hard and soft without result.  Is there anything else I need to do or is my OS later for my Q10?

Then the features available on 10.2 on the Z10 and 10.2 on Q10 will be the same, the software is different between devices. And for some reason some carriers are not releasing software that evenly on all devices BB10.

So far, carriers will generally issue an update to only Z10, Q10 only, Z30 only. This means that the Z10 may run 10.2, 10.1 Q10 and the Z30 could run 10.2.1.

Certainly, it would be nice to see updates from output evenly companies across all devices BB10, if only to avoid confusion about what he can do a device BB10.

Lots of information and instruction is available on the Web on how to install latest operating systems for devices BB10 bypass link and OTA, but something is not recommended for novices. In most cases, it can be quite easy, but you would not be able to access BlackBerry or your provider if you stumbled upon questions while trying to install an update in one of the "Workaround" methods you can find online.

  • BlackBerry Q10 Q10 does not recognize the sender of sms

    I have a big problem.

My Q10 is recognize my contact when I am called, but does not recognize the sender of the text message when I get one.

    Let me explain.

I'm from Romania. The prefix for my country + 40 TR.

Our mobile numbers starting with 07XX.XXX.XXX

When you call from another country you put only + 40 then the number of laptop without the 0 (+ 407XX.XXX.XXX)

In our country are 4 mobile operators (Vodafone, Orange, Cosmote and Digi).

There is a situation when if you are called to another network, the number makes an appearance with the prefix of the country as + 407XX.XXX.XXX and my Q10 recognizes not the same if the appellant, it is in my contact list.

Today, I noticed another BIG PROBLEM.

So, I have in my contacts... John Smith with 0722.123.456.

When I am called by him, it apears John Smith, but when I recive text message from him, it apears + 40722.123.456.

My stupid Q10 does not recognize the contact!

If I change the number on my agenda and I put + 40722.123.456 to John Smith, he acknowledged the sender of text, but it does not recognize the appellant (when I get a call from John Smith), it apears 0722.123.456.

I used a lot of o phones: Nokia (many models), Iphone, Siemens, Samsung, etc, since 1996.

I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL TODAY!

EVEN WITH THE OLD MODELS AND STUPID OF NOKIA!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE NEWEST SMARTPHONE ON THE MARKET HAS THIS BUG!

I HOPE THAT SOMEONE WILL ANSWER ME SOON AND GIVE ME A SOLUTION!

P.S. the next week, I'll go on a hollyday in another country. What happens when I receive the call of my country and all my calls will be with prefix + 40?

    Probably, he recognizes no contact!

You have this problem or if only my phone?

The work-around, I have read other users is to include the number of the contact in two formats...

Thus, John Smith would have one number registered with 40 +, and other registered without the + 40.

BlackBerry is aware of the issue and I hope to work on it.

  • BlackBerry BB Passport does not

After trying to link my passport for the computer (iMac OS 10.11.1) using the Blackberry link, that does not, I contacted support service provider (No. BB support!) we have downloaded new software, which does not, now, I have a passport of non-working BB - nothing, just blinking red dot! Can someone help me with this?  Thank you

If you can get guaranteed support, that sounds like the best approach at this point. It is always best to try to fix it yourself first, and I think it's an easy fix, but if you can't do it then you can not do. Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Z10 BlackBerry Desktop Software does not support the BlackBerry 10 operating system

Visit www.blackberry.com/support to learn more about how to synchronize your multimedia files, backup and restore data from the camera and more, with your device.

All software are up to date on Mac and BBZ10

    What should I do?

You have the two desktop software and link configurΘ for dΘmarrer when a device is connected to your Mac. You must go into the Desktop software settings (I don't remember exactly what to do, but there should be some settings at the top right) and set it to not open when a device is connected. Once you have it set to not open when your phone is connected, make sure that the link is set to open. That should solve your problem.

  • BlackBerry phone Q10 (q10) does not work after a reset of the safety

I did a wipe of security that yesterday since I can't make or receive calls, sms messages or anything of the these, cant access my list of contacts, camera or photos. I can't put even in air time so basically its just do nothing. Calls are on the list of calls from well miss that when I click on call, nothing happens and my screen does not show anything when the call is incoming that it sounds yet. I tried a full reboot, registering the phone and nothing works, when I click on an icon, nothing happens even on the tutorial icon and it also crashes network settings

Try this... let the Q10 power, remove the battery AND the SIM card and the card holders (if present).

Let the SIM card, insert the battery to reboot and see what all works or does not work.

  • Call Blocker for BB Q10 and Q10 BlackBerry Call Recorder does not work

It's quite funny how when you pay for the apps will not longer work.  I got call blocking for well over a year waiting for them that they told me that I must have 10.3 or higher to be able to use its features.  Well guess what I've been updated 10.3.1.1865 with OS 10.3.1.2708 and it does not block calls.  Call Recorder when free works well, but as soon as I paid for it and upgraded to the pro version it would not record the sound went dead silent.  If anyone has had these problems when trying to get intouch with developers is useless, because no one will send to you.

Call Blocker is developed by Ajani Info Tech version 1.0.2.17 and Call Recorder is developed by appsforbb version 2.0.0.1.  Sure would like to hear from anyone with the same problems or solutions because it's frustrating.  Thank you.

Just trying to see if there is someone who has a solution before I go to my service provider to request a refund, but thanks for the help but would still see if anyone has experienced the same problems and have got a solution.  If this isn't the case, I'll go through my supplier for a refund.

    Hello

One thing you left was how you have responded to the message you received. Did say you Yes or no? Twice?

In any case, it may be that your BB, which I assume that you have purchased 2nd hand, did not properly prepare for your use by the previous owner. Please see the bulletin:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad does not - Touch screen work

    I bought a Blackberry 9900 in September 2011.

in July 2012, I had the phone replaced under warranty as the WiFi signal went funny (he was VERY weak all the time) as the speaker was roaring because of play a little hard, so I got the handset replaced under warranty.

Blackberry 9900 replacement handset was working fine until about a month, when my trackpad kept work stoppage. I thought that my phone had frozen, but I could still navigate the phone using the touchscreen. the trackpad works again after 10 seconds.

I tried to restore the firmware of phones at the factory version, I also tried the last updated one (7,1 Bundle 2061), but still no joy - im guessing the problem is hardware related.

    What are my options?

my phone is not covered by manufacturer's warranty is it?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest a completely clean OS reload... perhaps to aid installation method below 'skeleton' slow...

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Only your warranty provider can answer this question for you. Everyone must respect all terms of warranty you received with your purchase (your contract, purchase, governs all), which can be less or more generous than those extending from the RIM. There might be a good read for you here:

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones email does not not on 9700

    Hello

Hoping someone can help me here.

I'm trying to fix Bold 9700 from my mother-in-law.  I know that I had this same problem with my 9700 old a few years ago, but don't remember how I fixed it.

Its BB was working fine, then emails came only sporadically.  She called Rogers, technical support and they told him to do a full restore.  After the full restoration, she has absolutely no email and when you click on the e-mail configuration in the installation section it goes absolutely nowhere... almost as if it has never been activated.

    I tried

-a reload of the operating system available (same problem)

-a return of service books (an email comes through recorded everything, but then nothing else comes through)

All the other features of the phone seem to work perfectly.  The person of Rogers told him that the problem was because the phone is old and it's broken and won't work anymore.  I do not subscribe to this belief and am sure that we can get it up and going again for her.

So can offer help here on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

BaseballLady (currently sporting a 9790 and anxiously the BB10!)

Hello and welcome to the community!

You have tried a lot of things... Here's a little more perhaps.

You may want to consider using BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe there is able to... sometimes a clean WIPE of this kind, followed by the reload of the operating system, can help.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1

    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

In addition, after each attempt reloading, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
