• Sencha Touch 2 w / Push Notifications

  Hey all,.

  I'm new to the world of BlackBerry development and confused about some things. I am developing an application using Sencha Touch 2, but I need to have the Push Notifications. I understand that this is something that can be done through the API WebWorks, but I was under the impression that you could use the framework WebWorks or Sencha Touch 2 framework; they are mutually exclusive.

  I recently read a post on the forum, which would seem to contradict that, someone had integrated the functions of the WebWorks API in their project of Sencha Touch 2. Could someone give me an idea of exactly how do you it?

  Resemble WebWorks an extra set of API, you can use to create applications that require access to hardware or services of BlackBerry.

  If you build your application in Sencha Touch and whenever you need to have access to something specific to the device, simply make you calls to your App, exactly as you would call a Sencha Touch method.

  It is similar to how you would add external application of Sencha Touch libraries, because the SDK does not provide a component you need.

• Sencha Touch not displaying icons only not the Playbook Simulator

  I see this weird problem. I wrote a simple Webworks app using Sencha Touch. It works fine on the desktop browser. However, on the Playbook Simulator, I see a few flaws. For example the standard icons not displayed. See the pictures attached to the difference:

  I know that's not a consolation, but when I tried the latest version of PlayBook on the physical hardware toolbar buttons work fine.

  I ran through the example of the kitchen sink and everything is made perfect!

  So know that your problem will be solved in the official v1.0 RTM software version and Simulator.

  If I load on my local Web server and browse the dev Alpha it works, what's the problem?

  Make it work, you must upgrade to the latest SDK 1.0.3.8.

  I had 1.0.2 and it did not work.

  I downloaded the theme of Spring application free bb off balckberry app world, but after I updated my bold 9700 to version 6, I can access is more than the theme. When I tried to install it, it says that I have already installed.

  These 2 themes to Blackberry support for 9780 and 9800, os6 for 9700.

  This maybe because the Blackberry Theme Studio package, whose themes are designed and created, just moved out of Beta status last week.

  There are a few themes available in App world, read the description as most of the developers mention whether or not the themes are compatible with os6 on the 9700.

  Follow these steps:

  Go to Options-> typing and entry-> keyboard-> then uncheck/check the box indicating ""(décocher pour arrêter la vérification n de la tonalité deles de touches pour commencer la tonalité deles de touches)... keypad tone ".

  This should solve your problem...

• BlackBerry Z10 Z10 touch and hold not to raise the menu

  This just started happening after my phone for 6 months: housed in the hub, or the title of the email or text, screens etc, I used to power touch and hold a piece and a Monte side menu that allows me to mark as unread, select multi or delete.  Now, whenever I touch any element (short or long) simply open the item.   I know there is a way to access this menu by clicking on the 'more' (3 points) down, but it was much easier when I could hold a whole article to bring up this menu.

  Any ideas?

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. If this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.

  See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  theres 2 ways:
  1) go to options, view and go to the screen display/themes. You should be able to find your installed themes and change accordingly.
  (2) on the home screen, press the menu key, and select options. You should be able to see the installed themes and changes accordingly.

  Yes, thanks for the info. I was made aware of this and am really disappointed that Blackberry just... especially with so much calendar users/windows Vista. Well well... as I said, I'll probably continue to carry the Agenda paper until someone figs this glitch out.

  If it has never supported, don't.

  NO AOL accounts balance email and messages such as the BB.
