  I have problems after I updated to OS 4.5.  I have the AT & T 8310 and downloaded the update directly from Blackberry, not the AT & T site.  Whenever I go out the battery and I go to messenger he always tells me that I spent with a new device, I would like to update everyone on my new pin code (which isn't new).  If I didn't, then all my contacts will be deleted.   First try a battery pull restarts, if it is still impossible to locate and remember it's not hidden, to check that the screen is in the Panel Home screen ALL > press the Menu key and select "Show all icons" or icon to display "." It will show all of the icons that were previously hidden. If you see BlackBerry Messenger icon like grayed then highlight it and press the Menu key and select the icon to display, also search your folders as the Application of Instant Messaging folder, etc..

  If it is still impossible, then try reinstalling the BBM, but first on your homescreen go to Options > device > application management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

  2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

  3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

  I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.

  Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Already tried battery pull, remove and re-add the account of Hotmail in BIS and uninstall and reinstallation of Windows Live Messenger.

  Please, I know already all the love that some people have on other services of e-mail webmail (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), which helps not at all.

  Hi guys. I am new to the forum and I'll try to do this quickly. Since I installed the new BBM on my 9700 AT & T, it has a problem giving me my BBM. Sometimes it will not even make a sound alert, change the LED color or allow me to see the new message received unless I can get a glimpse into all my messages (e-mail, text SMS, MMS messages, etc.). Here is an example. I receive an alert by a BBM contact. I can see or see what they typed to me in all my messages, but once I try to view it by clicking on it, it won't be there. It will show only what I typed. So from there, I'll go into options in Blackberry Messenger and change any setting here that forces me to close by saving the new setting. Then when I go back to the message that I can't see, it will be displayed. I constantly have to do this just to show messages in my BBM contacts. Is there a setting that I've screwed up or y at - it something wrong with my Blackberry? I had to downgrade BBM was last updated and I don't want to do that, even when I don't have to.   Initially, I had problems with the Messenger - when receiving or sending messages, the phone would freeze completely for awhile before I could see the message. I tried to upgrade the Messenger himself, but the download failed.
