BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Messenger icon disappeared
Initially, I had problems with the Messenger - when receiving or sending messages, the phone would freeze completely for awhile before I could see the message. I tried to upgrade the Messenger himself, but the download failed.
I have connected to the Desktop Manager and tried to update the software to the place where http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices. But after restarting the computer and the phone, the Desktop Manager has reported there is no software update. When I did a reboot with the phone, the messenger icon has disappeared, replaced by a "Blackberry Messenger Update" which ended only with the failure of a transfer, but a page still appeared saying "Download Complete."
The Messenger does not appear in a folder is not hidden and does not appear by pressing and holding the menu button. It is still listed under Options > Applications > Core like Blackberry Messenger 5.0.0 but with a calendar instead of the BBM icon icon. It cannot be deleted or moved away.
When it is connected to the Desktop Manager again and under the Application Loader, the Messenger is not at all.
Is it possible to reinstall Blackberry Messenger, preferably with the PC?
Use a Bold 9700, btw.
If it is listed in the applications list go ahead and delete it. Then remove the battery to reboot the device. Then use your browser of the device, go to www.blackberry.com/messenger and download the application again.

Smartphones blackBerry Messenger icon went...
I can't find my BB messenger icon more. It is not in the folder IM or my home screen, and I have not all the icons that are 'hidden '. It is downloaded. Can anyone help?
Thank you
LoriDo you have previously? Where?
I would say this: go into Options > advanced > Applications and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.
Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.
Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.
After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

Greetings! -recently improved 8520 handset to the software device to 5.0 - all very well except that the icon I use most - the "Lock keyboard" icon has disappeared. Looked everywhere - icons hidden etc - no luck. Someone at - it a similar problem?
For the keypad lock icon, you must have a password enabled on the device.
You can lock the keypad by pressing the mute on the top of the unit.

Even if the app in the world application is installed, it appears impossible to find the related icon, both on the application, Download Center or from the application. But if, in the application list, I ask to change to another application, the icon appears in the list.

BlackBerry Z10 icons disappear
As soon as I open a folder once, remove the icons bottom three (telephone, search and camera). They appear only after a reboot again.
Model: Blackberry z10
Software: 10.2.0.429
Well I think it's the same just more frequent bug with you.
If you slide into the Hub and back they reappear? The good news is that the 10.2.1 update is right around the corner and will most likely fix this for you.

BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared after update
I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared. Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):
1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times
2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times
3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM
My phone details are below. If you have any suggestions on how I can fix this, please help! I love BBM and I would like to start using it again.
Thank you very much in advance!

I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.
Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.
Once back to the top, then use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download and install the application again.
Once completed and restart the device once again, look in the instant messaging or downloads folder.
