BlackBerry 8110 BlackBerry Smartphones

I don't know why but my battery keeps dying faster and faster every day, I just got my new phone, tips or ways of keeping dying every day would be thank you much.

Read the article. It is written by Mark Rejhon.

The the battery life of your new BlackBerry Max

  • Modern BlackBerrys equipped battery Lithium-ion, or "short ion" to make."
  • Some older models used the cell metallic hydride Nickel, or "NiMH" for short.

Battery Li - ion are best kept topped place regularly. A battery that has been left flat for a long time will have to be fully charged and then fully discharged a couple of times, but there is no advantage to doing this at batteries in regular use.

If you are a new BlackBerry owner, or a former owner of low battery problems, read these tips:

  1. You DO NOT need to break in the BlackBerry Li-ion battery. Models BB 71xx, 81xx, 83xx, 88xx you plan to use a Lithium-Ion battery. These don't require "conditioning", as you may have experienced with other cell phones and batteries.
Note: Don't get used to not fully discharge the battery every time - to avoid exhaust - lithium batteries can be damaged with excessive deep discharges like a car battery can be... When running in the battery, make sure you keep connected for a long time after that the battery has said that it is fully charged, (i.e. overnight), you really want a slow charge your BlackBerry to top-off your battery.
  2. Lithium batteries LOVE to be "overcome". In regular use, plug it in whenever you have the opportunity. This will also help to keep the maximum battery life during these days, you really need long battery life.
  3. If you are constantly starved for battery, avoid continuous real-time software such as BBToday software; He uses a lot of battery power.
  4. Is your BB constantly searching for a signal, as in an office building or other area of weak signal? You are looking for a signal will drain a battery quite quickly. If you need to conserve battery power, put the wireless or radio off.
  5. What is running in the background of your BB? There are commonly 4-5 applications that will ALWAYS run (home screen, Messages, phone, BBMessenger and the browser; there are others such as BeamBerry and MyAlarm which also runs). Ensure that the browser is NOT on a Web page active (for example with animated radar or another live Web page as a site of information constantly updated news, but rather than the page of bookmarks). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (like the camera or a game).
    • Press Alt + Escape (the button to the right of the trackball trackball model) to bring up the application switcher function. Scroll through this list to see what is running in the background.
  6. Keep your Bluetooth turned off when not in use.
  7. If you use JiveTalk, Verichat or other instant messaging software, let it run in the background or quit it when not in use. Also, stay connected on networks, you do not use a lot.

  • In JiveTalk > preferences, there is a setting "battery Save Mode when inactive. Make sure it is checked.
  • Keep Verichat running in the background when it is not in use. This puts the software in a low power state by reducing the frequency of the updates list of contacts (approvals/sign/away mode, etc.) less using instant messaging networks also allows to save battery power. For example, if mainly use MSN and AIM, disconnect the ICQ and Yahoo networks.
  • When you use your BlackBerry, make sure you keep the backlight is low or whenever possible (rather than bright mode). A setting of lighting from 60 to 80% is wise.
  • Many BlackBerrys have an extended battery available, like www.seidioonline.com. There may be a product of long battery life for your specific BlackBerry product.
  • There is the factor of novelty in the use of BlackBerry for the first time; We tend to play with them much more strongly in a first time. If your use may normallize after you get used to it. You know the first days from two to three for the battery to discharge faster.
  • If you have not yet purchased a BlackBerry, you should be aware that the GSM/GPRS blackberries have the longest battery life. Battery life is longer on GPRS blackberries of the CDMA and iDEN blackberries.
  • Telephone calls made on your BlackBerry is the biggest consumer of battery life. If you do a lot of phone calls for hours, your battery life can be extremely short. Making telephone calls in areas of weak reception will also more energy use.
  • Think of an electric car kit, or an office charger/cable. This way, you have more opportunities to top - off your BlackBerry battery.
As mentioned previously, it is always a good idea to top - in addition to battery in a BlackBerry anyway, even if it's not almost dead. It is not necessary to follow the age-old advice of the use of the battery before recharging and can carry batteries lithium-ion modern if done on a constant basis.
  • Your battery is may be defective or worn out. Compare your battery life to other people using the same model of BlackBerry.
If you use your BlackBerry for a long time, it may be time to replace your battery. If you bought your BlackBerry such as used, you can replace the battery with a new one. For a better battery life, it is usually best to use authentic brand batteries rather than inexpensive spare batteries.
  • Occasionally, it may be a BlackBerryOS issue if you are having unusually short battery life all the time. The first versions of BlackBerryOS for the 7100 tended to use much more autonomy than the newer versions of BlackBerryOS. Upgrade to a newer version of BlackBerryOS.

      Hi all

To cut a long story short, I destroyed my BlackBerry Pearl 8120 in March, and if I can get with my Nokia until I get a free upgrade in July, started having withdrawal symptoms, so I purchased a second hand BlackBerry Pearl 8100 E - Bay (well he said 8100, but I suspect it's a 8110 - how know?).  Before the death of the 8120 I had (fortunately) backt he up on my PC, so I want to know is: can I download a backup on a 8100/8110 8120?  Are there any known issues? All I need are my details, everything else is secondary.  I hope that someone can help (and that I can use a backup on a 8100 8120 /.) 8110.

Thanks for your time guys and girls

    • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry not syncing with Gmail

My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

      My device information:

      BlackBerry Bold 9900

      7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

      Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

      Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

      Wireless reconcile: checked

      On conflicts: mailbox WINS

      Gmail settings:

Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

      1) register HRT

      • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
      • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

      2) Remove and return Service books

      • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
      • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
      • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
      • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

      3) restart

      • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
      • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

      Good luck!

    • BlackBerry smartphones can not upgrade world BB (I think)

A few weeks when starting AppWorld on my phone, it said I needed to upgrade my AppWorld/world software.  I went through a process of downloading, including the signing of an agreement of the user, who probably took care of him.

But I don't, because I didn't take over the world.  Here's what I'm trying to start:

Press App World icon in the home screen

Message appears: "to continue using Blackberry App World, you need to upgrade your current version. ..."

      Select [update]

A web page loads up, that resembles http://appworld.blackberry.com, except that do not load images

And here I go, because I do not know what, if anything, I have to have from there.

      I have a Blackberry 8350, and the OS is (I guess)? 5.0.0.601.

      Help please?

      Please try this sequence:

      (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

      • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
      • He asks to restart the BB,

      (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

      3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

      (4) restart another Batt-sweater

      (5) see if it works now.

      EmmanuelSmith911 wrote:

It is possible. But if you stay on BES, you cannot remove the it policy... you have to work with your BES admins to solve the problem.

If you are not on BES, you must first check if you have a latent policy on board:

If you have one, then this is the only method to remove:

Beware you warnings... it's completely destructive to everything you have on your device now, then you must know how to recover from that after the withdrawal of the policy. If you choose to use the backup/restore as your method of recovery, so make sure you do selective and not wholesale... If you restore databases who say company policy or something similar, then you just put it on your device policy, and be right back where you started.
