BlackBerry 8310 Blackberry Smartphones and You Tube

Try to watch videos on You Tube of Blackberry 8310.  Can enter the site without incident, but when you try to watch a video, get the error message "the specified protocol is not supported by your handheld.  Please try a different URL.

Has anyone else had, and then solved this problem?

Think I read somewhere on these forums that AT & T release is the 23rd of this month. That day forward me

    Original title: Windows updates.

    Hello

Serious PC recently suffered delays a few days after a format and fresh install, CPU spikes at 100%. Especially watch the video and You Tube, but also a few internet broswering. No maleware, spyware or virus. Went through various things to solve the problem without success.

Then I did a format and a new facility. At this point, the only difference with the previous install I've not updated the PC via windows update and the problem disappeared.

Obviously for security updates are required, but there are about 130 updates installed. Is there a way to identify the update was the cause of the problem without having to install an update at a time. What updates are most important.

    Hi Niel,

Process Explorer shows the real CPU usage based on the number of cycles. If you speed or other limitation of frequency active CPU that will work consumes a number of cycles to be calculated as a percentage of available cycles per second.

The Process Explorer display consists of two panes.

The top window always shows a list of active processes, including the names of their owners accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in.

Try the following steps, who worked for many users:

    1. Try turning off the lower pane of the process explore.
    2. Go to the sleeves of another process in the lower pane.
    3. Change the frequency of at least 1 second.

    Thank you

  • Indicator of new blackBerry Smartphones when you place a call and I was wondering what it is.

I was wondering if anyone has had or knows what is the next indicator?

It only happens when I'm making a call and in this regard.  It appears right next to the volume indicator.

Its a larger rectangle with 5 diamonds cross diagonally.

    Thanks for your help.

It indicates that you have activated Audio amplification... Open your call log > Options > Options General, scroll down and you will see the option.

  • Volume headset from blackBerry Smartphones and clarity on the curve

    Hi all

I've been a user of Razr for quite a while and am very close to having bought a BlackBerry Curve of Alltel. Before I do, I really have your contribution to this:

Because I spend a LOT of time making phone calls and work in a noisy environment, the earphone volume and clarity are VERY important to me. I'm not sure if the curve can give me the benefits of a great smartphone AND a great phone in terms of call quality.

Can you give me your opinion on the earphone volume and clarity compared to the Razr (I currently use V9) and also if you think that because the tip is located a little further from your mouth against a flip style phone that it might cause problems in a noisey environment. Ive had before cell phones, which were weak in terms of call quality and its REALLY frustrating.

Thanks again for you input. This will help me make the right decision!

    my best,

    Rick

of all the greatness that is my BB, the listener and the quality leaves much to be desired.  If the volume is too high, cracking bad.  I use it mainly in the car and have bluetooth through the stereo, so in the car, it is not a problem for me.

  • Error of BlackBerryID blackBerry Smartphones and to protect

I received a notice to upgrade BlackBerry ID.

    I did it.

NOW I have a updated BlackberryID but disabled BBProtect

Protect wants latest BBID, but when a window appear to download a new version of BBID the result is "there no new version for BBID' (I have just one last)

BBM also wants the new version of BBID.

    "attempts"? I don't understand...

There is no sound wireless problem or a bug.

In fact, the one that your provider tells you is wrong. Your carrier is responsible for the delivery of all services on your device, which is BBID to 100%. As a result, they are also 100% responsible for all official support for all services you pay for. Consider... you don't pay them... and they deliver. Only, they (your operator) have access to their systems to verify what is happening. Only they (your operator) have access to the formal escalation chain so that your problem could receive official assistance from BlackBerry. Please see this "sticky" post, and the son to which it connects, for more useful information to guide you as you go:

I hope that this information will be useful to you.

If you want yet to try to seek a formal support, then your next step would be a full reload of the OS on your device. If you want to try that, then please conduct and first review the backup process discussed via the link below in my sig auto on this post.

Once you have a full backup, then the easiest way is to, on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • Director of office of blackBerry Smartphones and Curve 8330

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 for my curve. The installation went well, and after it backs up, the curve works correctly. I wonder, however, if the Desktop Manager saved e-mails, MMS and SMS messages in a file on my desktop that could be retrieved and read later if necessary. I heard this answered both ways so far: Yes it did, and no, it's not. No one knows what is the real answer?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Well, two answers could be correct according to what you were doing. If you performed the backup, and then he did. If you have not run the backup, then it does not. If you performed the backup, then a file with an extension of the RPI could be saved to your PC - search your entire hard drive for *.ipd and see what you find. To make a backup, follow these instructions:

First, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Let's see now, how the battery life on the next two days.

  • EDGE of blackBerry Smartphones and now Inernet on TORCH 9800

    Hello

I really EDGE like this on my phone but when I open a page I have this:

It is not included as part of your plan current service of navigation via the cellular network. To browse the web, you should use the Wi - FI or contact your service provider to change your service plan.

I can also use Blackberry messenger and no message can be sent.

What should I do? I have the blackberry torch 9800 with ATM mobilis Algeria and EDGE runs correctly on mobile?

OK... Well this is only half of what they should have done; just confirming that you have an account does not solve your problem. Think of it this way... you PAY for ALL your services and ALL your formal support... you should be very angry (with them) that they deliver or you...

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

Hello, I just bought my blackberry curve the other week and my bbm will not work. When I add people it says waiting, but they do not receive an application, and the same thing happens when they add me? someone else had this problem?

Also my phone automatically takes a daily rate for the internet even if im connected to wifi. is any way I can stop it taking my daily credit, unless I give him permission outside the wifi area? and when I try to use internet outside my wifi internet access is very limited, I can't use facebook or similar pages?

    Thank you

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You must, in order to obtain services of BlackBerry data as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and many more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry smartphones when you save in outlook, it save your documents on card?

was wondering if anyone knew. a shame to waste all my .doc files if it is not

Ah... Ok... Manually... and I think this goes for 3rd party applications as well. DTM backup databases of Basic... see this KB:

KB03974 Databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

What I do is to maintain a list of 3rd party apps I have installed on my BB. Because I'm "attention to detail", I still maintain this list of things that I got via AppWorld or other sources that maintain their own list of what I have bought/installed. I also maintain a manual backup to my PC which is on my map of media - now it's easy since it is simply my entire library of music, videos, and only a few documents of any type. But your use may vary.

    Hope that helps!

  • Tour of blackBerry Smartphones and Outlook 2003

Hey new to BB and trying to figure out how to get the email of my work on my phone. Just got a visit the other day and set up my GMail account and at work I use Outlook 2003. I can use Outlook Web Access to get my email to work at my computer at home (where I don't have Outlook). I've tried everything as time and time again to get the configuration of e-mail on the BB and it did not work. I called him and they have no idea why it won't work, and I talked to some * beep * at Verizon, and he said talking to HER and said that it should work, but won't. Another thing is, many of my colleagues have BB and enamel works very well for them - most of them have the curve. I don't think that we are on a company server. Also, I tried to download Desktop Manager on my work computer and that did not work.

Any ideas on why this is not connect?

can you confirm if your service COMPUTER not/do not have a BES? If they do not have a BES they would install just your account on the server and you sent a password for activation to activate the device.

If they do not have a BES so you could try enter your outlook web IDs by following the steps in this KB article
