To start the wizard and then the device-centric application, the first screen is the portal through which the device connects to the computer.   In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

I would like to make the backups from the BB Desktop Software. .. can I somehow retrieve these data from memo pad from backups without going through another "BOLD" to restore to?... I have a Curve 8320 old I could throw out there if it will take, and/or I can synchronize with Outlook? (no, it wasn't was not sync would be Outlook in the past, because I normally do not use Outlook)... Some of these memos are really important.

  (And sensitive information too, hope they get truly wiped in the erase process.)
