BlackBerry 8330 smartphones not seen by computer

Hi, I have a new 8330 and there is a disconnected alert Desktop Manager, when I connect to the computer and will not see the PIN code. When I go in the options and try to connect, it does not detect the device. It is not the Blackberry because it works on other computers (Vista and XP systems) but not the main I need which is an ACER Windows XP. On the Blackberry itself it does not even show the little indicator "connected" on the battery icon and it will appear on the computer as an external storage device when I connect via USB. I connected it directly to all six ports and nothing.

I followed all of the threads that I could find, making several clean reinstalls 4.2, 4.3, 4.7. I closed off the power to the USB ports as recommended, out the battery for a few minutes, and I started in safe mode, but also removed the? driver in Device Manager. When in safe mode I at least get the connection with the mass storage option the 8330 that I say yes to but don't get always the computer to see the blackberry as an external storage even. The wizzard asks me if I want to install the software but does nothing about installing it.

After having plugged the BB into a USB port and clicking on COMPUTER to view all of your readers, it does not show as a drive?

    virtually every untrapped Exception error is an appload

    you will need to DTM and your 8330 or 8330 m device software to your PC (whether you're a 8330 or 8330 m, goto options-remarks... first line will tell you)

    DTM allows to perform a backup

    then you go to c:\program files Research in motion\apploader

    Pull your battery and media map... let them

    Open loader.exe and go through the wizard, whn its done you will get some sort of error multimode

    Close the wizard

    Equip the battery and wait for a mistake (507)

    Run loader.exe again and complete the wizard again

    After you are done going through the installation wizard

    do not restore your backup, your media card or 3rd party applications

    test it for a while and see if you still have the same problem

    If no error, restore your backup and test for a while

    If no error, insert your card test for some time and media

    If no error, restore facebook and myspace (since they are made by rim) and test for a while

    If no error restore any other 3rd party and test applications more

    PROBLEM: My 8330 don't push my gmails on the phone. I get messages from 1 of 4 pushed towards the phone. I have re-sent service books, I deleted and added gmail to my bb (thru BIS). I deleted the gmail off my outloook as well from my PC.

    I downloaded GMAIL to Google blckberry and that works, but I like my gmail to combine in my Inbox.

    I need a blackberry on this expert help.

    Support VERIZON was not able to solve this problem.

    In ADDITION the filter of gmail for duplicate messages does not work on my blackberry, which means that the messages I send on gmail.com or my BB back immediately as duplicates.

    I got 10 blackberry so I am not novice, Please HELP!

    I'll try what you did... entirely delete the account of the BIS Gmail account.

    - Then on your BB, Options > Advanced > Service books. Remove ALL instances of your Gmail email account there.

    -With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    -Then add the Gmail account to your configuration of BIS. And click on send Service directories while you're there.

    HOWEVER, I would do nothing of this earlier, as there are currently this morning a RIM BIS account integration power outage, or downtime. Wait a few hours until that which is cleared up.

    Leave the appliance to charge on a wall charger, then, still connected to the cable, remove the battery from the camera for a minute and reinsert. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage). If it is not restart on the first attempt, leave several hours. I had a charge for two days before, she came back to life after extreme exhaustion of the battery.     So good news.

    Connect your current device to the USB > PC.

    Open Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced.

    You should see the IPD backup on the left pane information and the information of the current device in the right pane.

    If the left pane does not, above this window, choose file > Open and navigate to this known IPD file. Load it.

    Now, you can choose one by one or all THE items in the list to transfer to the new device. Highlight each database you moved to the new device and click the right arrow environment to move these data.

    Follow the prompts which if ensuits and you'll be good.

    Good afternoonn all!

    I'm having a problem with my address book - contacts are 'there' (in the address book options, it displays 129), but their not visible when I open my address book.  If I dial a number or send a message or receive a call or an e-mail, the contact information appears (i.e. indicative 555-555-1234 appears as John Smith), but are not readily available in the address book.  I went between business and personal contacts, but none is in any of the groups.

    As far as I know, there was nothing of what I've done "out of the ordinary" before this issue has crept upward.

    remove the checkmarks of your filters, the only way they will display are if you had classified them under the title of these two filters, otherwise while they will not appear, hope this helps

  • BlackBerry 8330 smartphones - button "Check for Updates" on the site Web works not

    With device of "on" and connected to my PC through USB, I tried several times last week Web site update button. Nine times out of ten, the moment where I click on product 'Error on page' at the bottom of the screen and repeat clicking on gets me nowhere. Once ten trials, a progress bar appears at the bottom of the screen. It takes usually 30 minutes before reaching 50% 45 minutes, there has been no progress and 'Error on page' appears. I have the BB Desktop Manager software installed on the PC.

    Just do the upgrade manually... much more easy and more secure (in my opinion):

    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    LED turns red whwn initially plugged, then turns off.  Sometimes the screen turns on and there is a battery with a lightning bolt.  Do I need a new battery or is there a malfunction in the phone?

    Problem seems to have resolved itself.  I'm assuming that the battery has been completely drained.

    On Outlook, it is just in the appointment under the topic and the site window. But I don't speak of Blackberry.

    When you are in the calendar and create a new appointment:

    1. first line is being
    2. second line is the location
    3. Press the Menu key and select the line "invite participants".

    If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

    NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

    Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry 8330 smartphones used to synchronize with Outlook

    When hang on my Curve 8330 to my cell phone synchronization does not work. I get no error messages either.  I don't have this problem until I installed Blackberry theme Builder.  I had to uninstall the Desktop Manager so that the theme generator complete installation.  NOT worth to install, incidentally.  Generator theme uninstalled, reinstalled Desktop Manager, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc..  No chance it to synchronize.  Verizon could not solve the problem either, by sending me a new device.  Don't know if it's a problem of device or a laptop.

    When I plug this phone with a usb cable, it is driver is however recognized the media card and the device are not listed as the mass of readers of storage... I have no means of access to the content of the support/device card via my computer.

    OS 4.5 updates all were updated

    I don't know the file size, memory.etc because I can't activate it.

    Battery pull didn't work not many tries - when I try explained below.

    Charge it every night, the battery is usually up to 50 - 60% at the end of the day at less than its use in excess.

    PROBLEM...

    Took my phone out of my pocket... saw it was turned off, turned on back... had to do a battery pull... it wouldn't work for some reason any... put my password 5 times, he said that was bad all 5 times?! Then he made me enter the word "blackberry" and it stops completely!

    Tried to re - install the operating system using Blackberry 101 off crackberry.com forum had hope for a second that my screen came back... but then it went dead again!

    All this, screen comes up with hourglass, goes to an audit of security software and then dies!

    I'm bored not because I do not have my saved stuff, I'm bored because I didn't know that as much as I hate having to rely on my BB, I rely on it a lot!  It is in very good condition, he had for a year & half and I even switched my chance to upgrade waiting for something better to come along.  Maybe I should have gotten upgraded now that I look.

    As you have tried a charger, which essentially leaves the BB itself as the problem and known goot. I hope it is still under warranty - if so, you should take assessment. If not, then the path of your choice is different...

    you will find the drivers on the manufacturers site if they are not on the cd that would be very unusual if they are not on the cd
