BlackBerry 8520 Sim Smartphones not configured: 2

I got my upgrade to the curve 8520 last Friday and just put the SIM from my phone I use for the last 18 months directly into the phone and it has absolutely worked well until tonight when I get the message 'sim not provisoned:2' upstairs at the Center and the signal is on SOS.

Can someone tell me why this is and what I need to do to fix it please?

Thank you!!!

Just ask for a swap SIM, same number.

Take the BlackBerry with you and test the new SIM card.

    Hi Aquileon

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Your device is not recognized or detected, then you try the application loader to force detection to load the operating system, but this method will delete all the data in your device, if you have a backup or using BlackBerry Protect your restore your data again. • BB of Smartphones blackBerry 8520 curve (does not start)

Hi, I have a prob my girls curve 8520 just died Monday afternoon. She says he died as "the battery was flat," she says. Now, it does not come on, he wants, but he isn't. We have replaced the batteries, battery on a laptop and one wall loaded - the battery has been out for 12 hrs - sim card removed and replaced - I think is broken now well if I put the battery in, the red LED lights up, tha screen starts, then dies, then the LED lights, screen insiders, dies, LED etc. If the phone and then gets to the left (if all goes well to start eventually) continues the sequence mentioned above. But, the phone gets hot, as if to overheat. I have the idea that this overheating is like a short circuit on a car battery. At the moment, I decided to ask for help before you go out and buy a new phone. Is there a solution to this? Thank you

OK, don't forget to read and try the instructions I posted above for a device that does not connect.

  • BlackBerry browser lost Smartphones "not currently have Browser Configuration Service book entries"

I don't have a browser, the icon does not appear.  This happened once before and I restored it successfully via Options/theme/Restore Default settings.  This solution does not solve the problem at this time.  It happened after I used the Desktop Manager for the first time on a new PC and Manager has essentially removed everything on the device.  I restored a backup, and I thought that I had everything back, but it seems that the browser does not return.  All other applications work.  When I try to configure a browser I get a message that says:

"Your device not currently has any browser Configuration Service entries in the directory.  Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on the device.

Ideas?  Or do I really have to call Verizon.

Thanks to this old post I found, the problem has been corrected...

    Hello

    Please, try the following:

    1. from the home screen, press Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table.

    2. once the host Routing Table is open, press the menu key (2nd button from left to right and down) and press 'register now '.

You should see the recording sent message and will receive an email of record. If your browser does not restore, please remove the battery for about 10 seconds and replace to do a reset. If you still do not see the browser I would contact your wireless provider for your service books pushed.

You can also search the e-mail settings icon in the installation folder. Click on this icon and you will find the option of sending service books.

    Hope it will be useful.

  • Passport blackBerry problem: Sim Card not detected after several days, reboot needed.

    Hello

As the title suggests, every other day or two my passport tells me that it cannot detect the Sim Card. If I restart the device, the problem is solved but only for another day or two. I've never had any problem with this card before so I suspect it has something to do with the device. Is anyone know about this problem?

    Kind regards

    Willem

Here's what I'd do. The next time it happens, power down and remove the SIM card. Reinsert the SIM card and make sure it is fully inserted. Then to test and see if the error occurs again anytime soon.

I have not had this happen with my passport yet, but I experienced it here and there in the past. Unless the SIM works actually, the removal and reinstallation of the SIM card corrected the problem. Also, I experienced a failure of the SIM card, and it's all or nothing. Perhaps failure of the SIM card can be intermittent, but I doubt it.

If you get the error again, talk to your operator. They could suggest to try a new SIM card. At least this excludes from the SIM card and tap the device if you get the same problem with a new SIM card.

Alternatively, you can reinstall the operating system as a troubleshooting step. Yes, you shouldn't do this, but it is set on a software problem.

If you want to be as certain as you can know if the device is defective, it is my opinion on what to do. Otherwise, you can go ahead and request a warranty Exchange. I try and avoid that, personally and at least to eliminate other possibilities first.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphones & not sync with Documents to Go

    Hi all:

I just bought a Torch 9800 using the latest desktop and OS 6.  I have loaded on Documents to Go that works fine on the BB, but it won't let me sync the Office for BB.  It gives me this message:

Your Blackberry device seems to be connected with Mass Storage Mode.  Documents to go Desktop don't pair or sync with devices connected in this way.  Please disconnect and reconnect your device with mass storage Mode disabled.

Does anyone know how to do this with device software version 6.0.0.141?

Actually, this can be done in two different ways.

    (1) connect your device to your PC and when the context menu is displayed, simply choose the option that says "Charge Only". This does not trigger on your torch mass storage mode, yet still allows access to your device.

    (2) the method of the other, more difficult is perhaps the total mass storage mode. Go to Options > device > storage. Once there, turn off mass storage mode.

  • BlackBerry tour 9630 smartphones not send or receive phone calls

I can send and received messages but I can not send or receive phone calls.  I noticed in the upper right of the screen there is something that looks like a golf tee and adjacent is the word OFF

I was not able to use the phone for a few days because I lost the charger - I have the charger and the phone is now fully charged.

Your radio signal, the signal that carries the voice on your phone to your carrier's cell towers, stops.  This is why you cannot place all calls.

On your home screen, click on manage the connections and make sure that the Mobile network is checked.

    Problem solved!

  • Issue volume ringtone blackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones - not loud enough

    What I did:

Entered in the media / ringtones / choose a ringtone melody / set as ring tone.

I've also went in the Media options / audio boost on.

I have the ringtone to play / click on the bb request button to bring up choices: when you are asked to activate the handset volume is so low that I would never hear my phone ring.  When I choose turn on speaker it's the volume that I prefer.  When I leave here and think that when a call comes in it would be again to that volume, it is not - the volume went from how far I could never hear it if the phone was not right in my hand.  Even when I set to Loud - profile (2 vibrate ringing and then ring), it is barely audible.  I know that the phone can be stronger, because I heard it.

I read a message that you can change the volume by entering the profiles of boards, but when I click on profile my only option is to choose a (Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, off) - I don't have the option after pressing the button bb to open other choices.

I have all over my bb pearl sought other places to find where I could do the volume stick in higher volume, but nothing helped.  Help!

Found my answer - ended up going to the store of Bell Mobility and the seller helped me with it.  Thank you!
