BlackBerry 9780 stuck in RESTART smartphones!

help... I've updated the mail set up the software and now it won't restart... I got an app error... but nothing since... it hangs just to reboot...

It is a software problem with the update.

Please try this:

Remove the battery, reinsert the battery and keep the ESC button for 1 minute. It is used the phone in safe mode. Please try this and see if the phone boots. Please try to connect to Desktop Manager and data backup.

If not, follow this (it is most likely that your data will be lost)

Connect your phone to the Fund Manager while it is set to zero. Desktop Manager will not be able to connect and give you the option to update. Click on update and install the recommended or current versions that which is better.

Have you installed BB Protect, it backs up your critical data so its never lost because of problems like these.

Please post as to how it goes.

    Hello guys,.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780. It was working fine until this morning until what I installed an update for the application of the Tube map. After that it automatically restarted and has been permanently by doing so without even entering the operating system once. In other words, it just keeps restarting itself without actually starting. I tried to enter safe mode, even that does not work!

Any suggestions as to what should I do next?

    Thank you very much...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry 9780 - screen early failure - what should I do?

I have a BlackBerry 9780 which I bought from a friend who has improved his own phone.

I would have gone directly to a BlackBerry of any sort of tesco on contract, but the situation at the time made it difficult.

I started my contract with O2/Tesco with a Samsung BlackBerry look-alike.  A few weeks later, I bought a BlackBerry PlayBook and realized that get t as the most out of that I also had to have a BlackBerry phone.  Tesco wouldn't let me exchange the samsung I have been more than a month in contract with another 23 months to go.  Then buy the 9780 at my companion, it was really the only option.  Tesco sorted guys my BlackBerry connection for me - fair play to them, they were superb!

I gave the wife the Samsung!

The 9780 has been great.  I've used it since about January/February of this year.  My companion had sent it to a repair/refurb, (of course, the central navigation button was faulty), before it was sold to me.

I noticed that there is a small area that was black on the screen, it looks a bit like a diagram of rorschash, (it is the best way to describe it).  I happened to be in the other day from Maplin and I showed it to a guy who seems to be very well informed.

He believes that the screen is depixelling or words to that effect.

I need it to last at least 18 months until my contract is in place, and then I'll renew and get another.

What is the best couse of action?

    Hello

as far as I know, the dead pixel or black spots will be little bit greater over a long period of time.

9700 & 9780 are tough phones, is one of the best Blackberry produced, but he has a weakness

that is the screen / lcd screen. Sometimes, it gives you a black spot, dead, blank screen of white or black blankscreen pixel.

the replacement are normally made in China, they have different qualities.

so make sure that if you take it to a local repairman, you are given a minimum of two weeks guarantee

It is only a 2 minute job for replaces it, simply remove the 6 screws and 2 clips

but the problem is that sometimes you do not get a good replacement.

Once I tried 5 screens before I get a good.

and once you use a replacement screen, ready to be replaced again after 4 to 6 months if your unlucky.

    Here's how its done

  • BLACKBERRY Smartphones blackBerry 9780

    Friday (May 6, 2011), I've upgraded to a BlackBerry 9780.

May 11, 2011, I handed the phone to Vodacom Westgate J as it was freezing and does not make or accept calls. Phone shows full signal and the name of the network.

They sent to Cresta to repair.

May 17, Westgate Vodacom has replaced with a new phone.

On 19 may, I showed Vodacom Westgate as the phone again had the same problem as the old. We turned off the phone and he did and accepted calls.

May 22 I had to reboot the phone to use it.

On May 23 I talked to Vodacom Westgate and they said I can bring the phone and they will send it.

This morning may 24 I handed the phone to repair and he was again sent off for six days? s.

Now, someone has a theory and that the problem with my sim card (a card that works in my HTC, my previous Nokia and Ericsson, all smart phones).

Nobody at Vodacom can give me South Africa Blackberry contact numbers so that I can tell them that I think they are dumping obsolete phones on us.

And thinking that Blackberry users think that it's the best thing since Jell-o was invented, wait until they get their hands on the BlackBerry 9780 and find it is the closest thing to hell.

You bet that BlackBerry 9780 is a dud, but you want to keep under wraps because you're afraid of losing customers

You bet you're wrong. It really is the best thing since sliced bread. The Frost is past.

During your registration to this Forum, and when you have accepted the EULA, you would have noticed that specific to the notice that it is a community of users support forum. We are not be used RIM/BlackBerry. We are users like you (well, not exactly like you) who love to help others get the most out of BlackBerry, because 90% of problems are often questions of the user that can be fixed with a click or two on an option.

So, your SIM card that works in your Nokia, HTC and Ericsson... you should get the NEW card SIM of Mr. J Vodacom Westgate, or they should just trade for you. The 9780 is quite a bit more advanced that the devices that you have named, and the SIM card must also be the latest they have. Even though a lot of SIM cards are similar, it is separate technical differences between even all SIMs that are rated as 3 G SIMs, because as a technology, then make the SIMs.

I get the camera back that you gave to, or require a new unit. There is absolutely NO reason to send a new unit less than a month, to make repair. Most likely, he needs a new SIM card, and/or upgrade the operating system to the latest official version.

As you bought the device of Vodacom, your contract for technical and warranty support is with Vodacom, who then will escalate issues to support technical level RIM. If they don't you should ask. It isn't a phone number to call, he will manage the transfer and climbing.

If you need help with the software upgrades, ask to your, we will help. Just to come here to complain won't get you anything other than get it off your chest. If you don't want, done.

    Good luck.

  • Dead pixel blackBerry Smartphones and the problem with the case of my BlackBerry 9780

    Hello world

Recently, I bought a BlackBerry 9780 by Vodafone Spain (23 December) and I found a few problems.

One of them is the presence of a dead pixel in the upper right and the feeling of the case a little weak in the left side that, when you touch it you can feel it creaks a bit.

I would like to know if the warranty of BlackBerry or Vodafone Spain will cover this problem or if some of the new users of this model of BlackBerry noticied some of these problems and knows how to solve this problem.

Sorry if they have problems with spelling. My usual language is Spanish .

    Thank you very much.

A dead pixel is a hardware fault, and there is no miracle for her.

Check if you can get a replacement.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Blackberry Bold 9900 guard restart every 2 minutes

    Hello

Here's my problem: today, after unplugging my blackberry to the computer, it has begun to close every minute (I mean, when it restarts, a minute or two after it restarts) and he did for hours!

The problem is that I can't even try to update the operating system or restore the original configuration that I don't have enough time before his stop!

I tried to use it without the SIM card, has not changed anything.

My biggest concern is that I can't do anything because I can't keep it on more than a few minutes!

Someone has already experienced the same problem? Is there a way to fix this that refer to society (hoping that the warranty has not expired...)?

    Info on the device

    Your operator: SFR (French)

Model information and the version of the OS: Blackberry Bold 9900

    7,1,0 bundle 2061 (v 7,1,0,714 platform 5,1,0,532)

    Apps and free space

Nothing to do with the battery, he pulled out several times has not changed anything.

Not many applications except the classic ones (facebook, etc...) and you have not installed a new for several months.

Unable to get much information because it maintains close and restart...

The only thing I was doing before the problem occurred he was charging on the computer (not even synchronize). I unplugged it as I always do and it started to go crazy.

What is worth a thousand words

Sorry no picture and I don't think that a photo would be helpful...

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    SIM of the France.

Sometimes things just go wobbly... Very dear, I hope that you already have a good backup of all, for what you describe, you are unlikely to be able to take one that you continue to try to recover from this situation. If your BB is very new, so you may want to just take to formal support and do not try to recover it now... After all, it might actually be a hardware problem (there is no way, at an internet distance really diagnose... perhaps we can 'deduct' material being likely, but we can't diagnose 100%).

If you want to proceed, then please follow these steps (PC, not MAC):

    1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (3) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want for your BB:

    (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Now these KBs (try them in order, please)... but whenever they speak using a 'site update', please use the Desktop software installed above instead:

    2. KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any State

  • BlackBerry 9780 Smartphone, how will I know if successful backup

Hello can someone help a person no-tech?   Have tried to spend 2 years to 6 OS using desktop software - 9780 old result is my device at the end of the reboot stops screen then shows error app200.   followed the advice on this forum, but I'm afraid to go beyond the choice on the desktop screen which offers the option of repair which would result in the loss of all data from the device and it would be a disaster for me, if it is not backed up.   I had opted to save early in the process, but have now no idea if this has been done and what happens if anything I will be able to recover if I go ahead with the option 'fix' at this stage.   At the moment I just fitted with a frozen device and have lost a day of my life, try to resolve this issue, and I worry about witless.    (Son of savvy has left home, I try to do these things on my own... with little success!)

Would be very grateful for any advice

Thanks much for the reply and advice - it was kind of you. The phone has been annihilated and not able to be restored because he was already suffering from various issues, I'm afraid, I have taken the plunge and changed for an iphone. I loved my previous Blackberry "BOLD", but have had trouble with this 9780 which was slow and not so intuitive that my previous model. SORRY to leave Blackberry and I am not sure I do totally on with the iPhone, but I embark on a new adventure with an open mind! Thanks a lot for your help.

  • BlackBerry 9780 Bold smartphones comes on after battery

My Bold 9780 battery drained completely (overnight) and when I went to load it again it won't turn. I tried to load all night and still nothing, I also tried another fully charged battery, and it does not work. My Desktop Manager software is not detect it. Just before he died I had actually transferred all the data on a new blackberry and the software says I could now wiping my device but I don't mind yet. Any idea?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens (you may need to load if it has gone completely flat)

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trasfer schedule of Blackberry 9780 for android of Samsung phone.

    Hello

I have 2 phones, being the Blackberry Bold 9780. I'm unable to transfer Blackberry for Samsung android calendar. I took a backup of the Blackberry .ipd file to my PC using Blackberry Desktop Manager. I have no idea how to synchronize this file in Outlook and then transfer the data to android from Samsung. Help, please.

Hello and welcome to the community!

The IPD file has only one use expected... as a source of food to a BlackBerry. It is therefore a property format and native mode cannot be used for other purposes.

But there are 3 apps PC of third parties who may analyze and present them to you in the human readable format... you need to find one of those to do what you ask in order to get your data in a format (for example, CSV) Outlook can import. Seconds on the willingness of Google I'm sure that you reveal many possible applications of "IPD Reader" for this purpose, most of them are free are perfectly usable (but I do not recommend against each other).

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9780 - sudden loss of autonomy

    Hi, I use a Bold 9780 on OS 6.0 Bundle 2534.

I use my phone for a little less than a year and usually my battery life after one day of use will be about 60%, after a full day of use, but recently, before the end of the day that my battery life would suddenly jump about 50% all the way until it says that the life of the battery is too low for radio use and so the radio is turned off. What should I do about it?

    Thank you.

It is a classic sign of a loan from Li - ion (as used in BlackBerry phones) for retirement.  Lithium-Ion batteries are slowly fading, they almost all Pack into all of a sudden.  I would say it is time to go shopping to the battery.  Usually, you should get a few good years of one of these batteries, but it shows signs of him take his last breath already.

    I hope that helps you.
