  • MP3 of blackBerry on Curve 8520 Smartphones?

Hi, I am a complete newbie to Blackberry devices. As I was intending to buy me a 8520 I looked through internet, information on the homepage of the Blackberry and wondering why there is no mention of mp3 files to listen to on the media player. I asked the technical support by e-mail twice, but they don't seem to take my question seriously and all simply not responded or referred me to an articlel knowledge base that does not concern the 8520. I think honestly a little disappointed and I'm getting me Alternatively a different smartphone until I found this place, hoping that someone is able and willing to answer my question as to if the BB 8520 can play mp3-songs.

    Thanks in advance, RREbi

The Curve 8520 as with any new smartphone BlackBerry supports MP3 playback.

The specifications indicated on the Curve 8520 page have been updated to account for this:

  • BlackBerry BB Curve 8520 Smartphones - how to delete an email account?

I'm in so much trouble!  I created my account earthlink.net on my phone so I could send a picture to my PC and now I can't get off!  I followed several suggestions on this forum and some of my own and now I can't find any option on my curve to set up an e-mail account.  I deleted my login and password for my e-mail account on my phone; I deleted the CIMIME in the Service log and deleted something called BIS 5 from somewhere.  I always get emails on my phone.

I synchronize my calendar with Outlook and the same e-mail address, so I did not get rid of CICAL in the maintenance book.

Try connecting to your BlackBerry® Internet Service account to http://att.blackberry.com.  If you are unable to do so, can you send me your PIN code via private Message so I can take a look at your account?

    Thank you

  • Virgin cancelled blackBerry on curve 8520 smartphones...

Hey guys, ive been having a time of torrid, trying to get my head around this. Virgin have been absolutely disastrous in their attempts to help me and I just need someone to answer a few questions if you want to be so nice.

I bought a £15 per month contract with virgin mobile and after I got the combined ive had nothing else matters. Ive been trying to record my blackberry but I do not think that Virgin it were put into service. I currently use version 4.6 and whenever I try to update to 5.0 it says guests holding a phone registered to update that. When I try to follow the "create email" section on the Virgin site, it tells me to go to options > advanced options > host routing table. As I understand it, this should connect to Tmobile or 3g and do my account "registered." I do not have the 'email set up' section on my phone that is shown on the procedure step by step on the Virgin site, but I think that maybe it would be installed when I switch to 5.0... I get no response at all the application on HRT.

If im basically just sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

In the options > the Setup program, the only option is to link the phone to a blackberry corporate e-mail address and say nothing about a personal account by e-mail.

When I follow the directions on the Virgin website to set up e-mail, he tells me to sort the information in the HRT and then click on 'e-mail settings '... But it's not even an option on my phone. Maybe its installed when I get version 5?

Please could someone just trying to explain to me if theres something that im doing wrong or if I'm waiting for virgin to untangle their lives.

The amount of support I've received from the Virgin can be best described as: 4 phone calls, one resulting them hang up on me, because the man couldn't understand literally not what was my problem... and three promises me ringing, which must still be met.

If I bang my head against my desk more I think I might die, so please help

    Thank you very much, Yahia.

By sending the word Yes in the 789333, it records your phone to the wireless network, then you should be able to go from there

  • BlackBerry curve 8520 smartphones does not not with DM

Hi, I got a curve 8520 and tried to synchronize it with the Desktop Manager (mac osx snow leopard 32bits) but the computer does not recognize it (not even as peripheral mass storage), usb sockets are fine, given that the phone is charging and be detected by windows as a blackberry smartphone in analogies.

I tried reseting, removing the battery, restart the computer, re install DM, install the Device Manager.

The strange thing is that I was able to sync 6 months ago (it was my cell phone the mothers) without any problem using DM... I don't know what else to do, any help greatly appreciated.

For those who have this problem of MAC (snow leopard) drivers seem to come with pocketmac and not with the DM. has worked for my curve 8520 with DM and installed pocketmac.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones stuck on a 'white screen of death '.

    Hello world

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. Yesterday, he got stuck on a white screen, with a little black clock in the middle (the kind you see when you're waiting for a page to load in the browser).

Even if I turn off my phone, take the battery or put it on charge, this "white screen of death" I read he is described by other people online, won't go away!

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Ok.

If your BlackBerry is turned off the power with a black or white screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone won't turn on all the way, please help!

I have a blackberry curve 8520, I bought last month some time.

I woke up yesterday morning and the balckberry was off and not turn on after that I pushed down on the button. So I loaded for some time, and yet, it wouldn't turn on. Then I took off the charge it, took out the battery, put the battery back and it restarts. The loading bar went well in the end, and my ISP logo appeared. And that's when he stopped loading. All that will show is the logo, it does turn off, unless I get out the battery again.

I had downloaded an application the previous evening, he stopped working out appworld, which could affect it? I tried to connect it to my computer, but it won't let me delete or add applications.

I take out the battery for hours and the SD card. He still wiil only turn on until my ISP logo.

Help, please! Any advice would be helpful.

Oh and btw, it should be free to download also.

go, the blackberry app to open and edit the words no doubt, excellent documents and files powerpoint is not made of a pdf reader in the free version.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone - emails not delivered on my device.

Today I have problems with my Curve 8520. I got a message from [email protected] informing me that my emails are not delivered on my device.
It keeps telling me to activate the IMAP setting for all messages on my email address and verify my account.
After checking, my IMAP settings are correct, so I re-validated my Bkackberry and to all intent & purpose the email account is now valid. However, I then shortly receive another message exactly the same [email protected].
I have been around this cycle 3 - 4 times now, but don't get to emails - ideas please?
    Kind regards
    Peter

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphones - need unlock code

I want to unlock my BB Curve 8520 so I can use it in Europe with a local sims card when

    visit the family, etc.

Anyone any idea how to do?

I asked ATT, but they told me I had to go to RIM to get to this...  RIM said that I owe to my carrier

    to get this...

    Thanks for the quick responses!

    Thomas Maddra

Have you bought the device from AT & T? You have an account with them?

They should give you the unlock code for free, tell them you are traveling abroad and you need.

Representatives the in the likely store can help you. ATT live call.

Yet, there is no real VoIP for other than Google Voice BlackBerry.

and UMA calling that doesn't offer att.

  • Bluetooth blackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone problem

A Curve 8520 that I've matched with rejects handsets HTC & Samsung transfers in but establishes successfully transfers. How can I solve this?

OK so once you have paired with a device, and you want to receive a photo/mp3 etc, go to menu > media > options (the blackberry on your phone logo key) and click "receive using Bluetooth". Then, you send the file from your htc phone. So, whenever you want to receive a file, you have not only to 'associate' devices but also choose 'receive a file via Bluetooth' every time your "media".

Hi, trying to set up my email on my Curve 8520 replacement after the pad stopped working.

    OS: V5.0.0.900 bundle 1626 platform 5.2.0.96

If you see the Enterprise activation icon, so you haven't got the necessary information on the BIS configured on your device. Call Cinci Bell and let them know. They will make sure that your device PIN and IMEI are on your account.

AND, there is currently a data failure now affecting North America, Europe, etc., therefore, your data just may not work at the moment in any case.
