BlackBerry caught 10 devices supported

Hello

I recently received a rejected for an application because it is said that this does not work on the Playbook. As a minor note, I'm not a native English speaker but the answer I got from support:

"The PlayBook appear as device supported when you select the minimal operating system for your application, because the PlayBook will not support OS 10 more later."

UH... seems a bit contradictory to me and I guess that's the English lack of skills.

So, since I don't have a playbook, support (native) 10.0 apps running? The answer above is in fact meant he will support them at a later date, but not now?

Avantureux question aside, if I build the app with the 10.1 SDK (I did by mistake, the simulator which was 10.1 claimed an application built with the SDK 10.1), will still run on 10.0 devices? or does it need a device with 10.1 installed?

PlayBook does not support the BB10 and requires separate binary files. Probably you have chosen a PlayBook when downloading the Cascades App can be ported to PlayBook in the future, but no dates have been announced yet.

If you do not use any 10.1 specific API, most likely it will not work. They are compatible to the binary format. But to be sure, it is best to compile with the older SDK.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Smartphones which devices are supported on Micro SD cards

Yes, the kind of a ball strange question however, we features a wide range of Blackberry (until recently that even included the series 7250/7290) of 8703 through the 8520 and Bold 9700.

A project that we are working, we would like to know which of these devices support / have MicroSD cards. We know the 7000 series doesn't have and that does not have the 8700 series.

Is there a list somewhere that says what models have SD card support?

or this list of wikipedia is the best we're going to get...

    Thanks in advance.

It depends on the carrier.  Most is shipping with a card these days, but they aren't always.

  • How to determine if the device supports portrait / landscape views?

Is there an easy way to determine if the screen of the device supports portrait / landscape views?

(We need to provide different settings for the user)

Until recently, we used check similar to the following:

    If OS > = "6.0" & AccelerometerSensor.isSupported)

but this code does not work on the new Bold 9900 (which has the accelerometer, but has no landscape mode).

We are looking for a solution that doesn't invlove by manually checking the models...

    Thanks in advance!

You can use the DeviceCapability.isRotationSupported method to determine this.  This class has been added in BlackBerry Device Software version 6.0.

  • How tdo I add a device supported in the supplier portal?

    Hello

'Potential' user of ours sent me an email saying that it was not able to download our application to his BlackBerry "BOLD". He'll be back to me with the exact model number. We support only 4 models of "BOLD" from now (not touch ones).

In fact, the app will probably work very well on the 9900 new but we just don't have it on our list of supported devices.

    So I have two questions:

    (1) if the user's device is not supported by our application, is it not see it in the App World?

    (2) how can I add a device supported via the provider Portal? I mean no return code. Can I make changes to the list quickly?

    Thanks in advance.

    (1) if the device is not supported, the user should not be able to see the application to all the

    (2) to set the phone support: go to see release (eye-like button), Edit, tab add the Release Version, scroll down, change the device supports, check all the boxes

  • Message from blackBerry Smartphones: MTP Device Mode is enabled on

I just did a hard reset (remove battery) on my Storm2 9550.  When it finished start, I started the Desktop software and connected the phone via the USB port.  I received the following message:

This Blackberry device using a connection of the PSG.  Some features of media for your device mass storage mode, which interrupts all active media transfer protocol (MTP) connections.  You want to mass storage mode?

I don't know exactly what that means or if I should answer 'Yes' or 'no '.  (I had a bit of luck you are looking for this particular online message).

The BlackBerry Storm smartphone can connect to a computer in one of the following ways:

    • USB mass storage mode
    • Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)

MTP allows a BlackBerry smartphone user transfer media files between a computer and a BlackBerry smartphone and provides support for multimedia files that have specific requirements, such as restrictions associated with the management of digital rights (DRM) technologies.

A BlackBerry smartphone appears as a Portable device in my computer when connected to the computer using the PSG. It does not appear in the devices with removable storage section and has not assigned a drive letter.

  • iTunes requires a newer Version of Apple Mobile Device Support

I recently had a problem with iTunes not recognizing my iPhone, so I reinstalled the latest version of iTunes on my PC. Since then I have now received this error:

iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support, then reinstall iTunes.

I followed these steps, only to get the same error. I then stopped Apple Mobile Device Support Services, manually delete the files in c:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache, repair the installation of iTunes and restart services, only to get the same result.

    I use iTunes 12 and 10 Windows.

Would like to be able to sync my phone again.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

The more information box has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with third-party software.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

See iOS device is not showing in iTunes for Windows , if the device will not connect to iTunes after reinstallation.

  • No device supported in the DAQ assistant

    Hi all

I use the scanner high speed (NI 5922). I installed Labview 8.5.1, then the software scope OR the digitizer NI 5922 high of speed, then the hardware driver. I tested the DAQmx with the MAX and it passes the test. But when I started to use the labview with the DAQ assistant, as described in the manuals I have not found all devices supported! Should I log a physical device to the hardware driver channels or what should I do?

    Thank you

    Ibrahim

The 5922 is supported by NO-Scope http://www.ni.com/digitizers/software.htm and not by DAQmx. This page should help you get started.

  • Fatal error occurs when you uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support

Original title - you can't uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support!

I'm trying to update my iTunes and the iPod Touch, and in doing so, he failed and said that I needed to uninstall the Apple Mobile Device Support and completely reinstall iTunes.  In any case, I can uninstall everything except the Apple Mobile Device Support - I get a message that a fatal error has occurred and it is impossible to uninstall.  Apple told me that it was a matter of Windows and contact you for assistance.  I rebooted and everything else cannot remove one yet this app.
    (I'm on Windows XP Professional)

    Fixed the problem for me:

I just went through a problem with Apple Mobile Device Support as well.  I continued uninstall then just before reaching 100%, it starts tracking return return to 0%.  I have windows 7.

    Panel--> uninstall a program

Do a right-click Apple Mobile Device Support--> change

A window will appear asking if you want to repair or remove.  I said repair

Once the repair is completed, return to Panel--> uninstall a program

Double click or right click, uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.

He appeared after that he says he has completed the installation, but when I right click on it windows says it has already been uninstalled and removed from the list.

Hope this helps you like it has helped me.  I imagine that there is another way to get the option to repair/remove apple screen by running some .exe, then you can try to track down if you have an older operating system.

  • Apple Mobile Device Support new download problems with update iTunes on XP

iTunes tells me to uninstall both iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support (AMDS) then reinstall iTunes and amendments comes with installation... Problem is that it is not download the new AMDS with the new iTunes, and I have a Windows XP

    * original title - I bought an iPod touch connected and installed the new iTunes and: you need the latest version of the Apple Mobile Device support *.

This is the old version of AMDS: http://apple-mobile-device-support.software.informer.com/.  The thing is, you're using the latest version of iTunes this version can not install because iTunes includes a verson later program when it installs (and so installing this one can either do not work or may cause problems).  If you have the latest version of iTunes installed, you should already have the latest version of AMDS.  Do you mean that it is not compatible with XP?  You could try to downgrade to an earlier version of iTunes that does not include the amendments and use the link above to add and see if it works - but your iPod may require the latest version and does not work with earlier versions of if or not you want to try this (I wouldn't bother) is up to you.

Try to run in compatibility http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-compatibility-mode/ Mode and see if that helps.

If not, please repost your question in the forums XP: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsxp where the XP experts will be happy to help you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem with Apple Mobile Device Support in Windows 7

I can't install Apple Mobile Device support.

I uninstalled all the components of iTunes, in the order suggested by the apple support.

Apple Mobile Device support is not there - it does not appear as a program to uninstall; There no folders or files in Program Files (x 86) for her.

iTunes works, but when I try to connect an iPad or an iPod, he said simply that the amendments are expired, uninstall and reinstall (actually that is not there, and still less to day).

Then, when I try to reinstall iTunes, running as an administrator in an environment of clean boot, he goes through many steps.

During installation, I can see it attack the AMDS, it copies the files and the green bar fills gradually until the end, he stops and poster "backward", the green bar go gradually back to nothing. It is then with all the other components and so-called ends successfully. But the amendments is still not there.

The only place where I can find mention of AMDS is that if I look at services in the Task Manager windows - AMDS appears in the list even after all is uninstalled. Even if it is listed, it is not running as I put it to stop and it is disabled at startup.  None of the other components appear on my list of services when I uninstalled iTunes.

I think that the amendments was not completely uninstalled, and there is somewhere that says that the iTunes install do not to install as a component somehing. AMDS always seems to be hiding somewhere, but I'm at a loss to know where or how to delete it.

    Any help would be welcome.

You should ask in the forums of Apple. You can Google for the URL.
