BlackBerry curve smartphones 9320 delays of mail notifications, causing problems
Hi, have had curve 9320 for some time and until notifications by e-mail this week were almost instantaneous, but now there is a delay of a few minutes up to several minutes. I have a hotmail account and tested free email of phone, reinstalled email account and spent by the host and register, but always e-mail routing table grows not cause significant headaches.
Help, please
There is no way to turn back time. Microsoft has begun this process, a week or two ago. The only way to get instant messaging is to switch to BB10 (Z10, Z30, Q10, or Q5) device and configure your Hotmail account using Exchange Active Sync. Otherwise, you will need to go to Gmail or Yahoo.

BlackBerry Smartphones New Blackberry Curve 8520 - configuration of e-mail and network problems
Hello! My friend bought a new Blackberry Curve 8520. It is based in South Africa. She is facing 2 problems: 1. in the corner right gprs/edge is displayed in small fonts, and she is not able to use the inernet for applications. The phone was for 30 hours, and he still has not changed. 2. When you complete the setup of e-mail, it is only given the option to select a professional e-mail address, and there is no option to add a personal e-mail address. Help, please! I made a move on the phone and also reset, but the problem persists.
Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.
Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.
Good luck.

BlackBerry curve Smartphones 9320 200 after update error message
My phone died now :-(
When I connect my phone to the desktop software this morning he gave me an update message. I've dutifully updated - and my phone is dead. I removed all office cleaned of all other files and reloaded software but still not you connect phone to pc. It simply keeps restart until the error 200 message once again!
Any suggestions gratefully received. It was working perfectly until the attempt of the last version of the software download.
Hello and welcome to the community!
Something was wrong with the update, and now a reload is necessary. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):
(1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.
2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,
(3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
(4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:
- If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.
5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.
6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:
- Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC.
If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.
You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.
You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:
- Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
- If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
- If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
- Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
- If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents
When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.
If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

Hi all
I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.
It is a white circle with a white arrow pointing South West and black in the middle of the circle and a small red star on the top right of the icon, the same that appears in the top right...
He now has a small number 2 beside him, assuming that I have now 2 new all what it says... However, I don't know what that means, or how to get rid of!
Advice please someone?
See you soon
Katie
Katie, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.
You have two apps in AppWorld who call for an upgrade. Check App World > my world.
And on your BlackBerry, in the list of your key messages, clear messages related to App World.

BlackBerry Curve Smartphones E-mail Messages sent
Whenever I have send an e-mail from my blackberry or my computer, I get a copy sent to me on my blackberry. I think that I have disabled this option on my device, but he continues to be in any case. It seems that there are three places to turn it off.
Messages > Options > email Settings > email received: No.
I tried this option but I still get received.
I also tried to do:
Messages > Options > General Options > hide sent Messages: Yes
It doesn't work anymore...
Finally, I tried:
Messages > Options > email Settings > Menu > Folder Redirection
Help on my blackberry says I should have an option in this screen, but nothing comes, just my email with a blue box with a bar glancing through it that does nothing when I try to select...
Very frustrating... Any suggestions?
It's probably a Gmail account?
Good luck.

BlackBerry BlackBerry Curve Smartphones - missing icon and flashing LED
Hi, I just got my BlackBerry Curve yesterday and have two questions that left me mouth gaping so far.
(1) my menu has no icon "Settings and tools", I tried the option "Show all", still not there. How to do it?
(2) I have retrieve email on my PC for the most and that you want to turn off the blinking red light because I get lots of emails and the light is constantly flashing and boring.
Thanks in advance. Andi
EDIT: Post was shared by another thread, edited title
God_Graham wrote:
You can turn off the red flashing notification by going to
Messages > (key Blackberry) Options > General Options > display indicator new Message 'NO '.
This will cause the unit to not display the red flashing LED and you will not see a red * click the e-mail until the upper part of the screen.
The icon options should be on the device, if you are adamant that you can't find it then I would suggest that reload the software on the device.
Sorry, but will not disable the led red LED, GRAHAM of GOD. Only, it will disable the indicator red star on the e-mail inbox.
To disable the LED indicator, edit your profiles.
1. Select the profiles icon
2. a box will appear where you can quickly choose between Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, and outside.
3. If you want to change the notification of messages assigned for device applications, and then select the last option, advanced options
4. Select the profile you want to change. (Loud, vibrate, quiet, Normal (default), phone only, Off)
Note: on the 8100, 8800 and 8300 models: do not click on the trackball. Instead of this, click on the menu button to the left of the trackball).
Note: The profile that is in use will tell: (active)5. you will now see a list of all applications that can have an assigned tone (browser, calendar, level 1 Messages, Messages ([email protected]), Messenger, MMS, phone, SMS, job ect..)
6. Select the application you want to change the tone / in this case, notification Messages, or your specific e-mail address
7. you can now edit the tones of the case and Holster / notifications.
(a) select between: none, Tone, vibrate, vibrate + tone
(b) select the range that you want to use
(c) Select Volume (the options are mute, low, medium, high, climbing)
(d) to select the number of beeps (the options are 1, 2, 3)
(e) select Repeat Notification (options are None, flashing LED)
(f) if value vibrator or vibrate + tone and select number of Vibrations (the options are 1, 2, 3)8. repeat a to e for each of the applications set out in number 5 above

Battery faulty BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones 9360 and software now corrupted
I have a Blackberry Curve 9360
Problem started as - battery discharged charge for nothing and switched phone off when you use the browser or a camera.
Phone calls / Email / BBM / SMS ok
Said to try the software update via Blackberry Desktop Manager
Tried it on my laptop but it loaded all company settings and restrictions that use my company (British Telecom)
This included the removal of Blackberry App world and most of my apps
O2 has forced me to make a back up
Security wiped the phone
This has removed the browser icon
App world and Apps are still reported missing, but they are visible when you look at the applications installed via Options / device / application management
E-mail accounts are displayed when you use the wizard, he accepts the passwords and then fails to remember passwords and takes you back through the new assistants
Is there a way to do a full format of the phone and to start from scratch as doing the wipe of security is obviously not enough to remove restrictions of business who have been responsible for Blackberry App World
As I've been flooded with assistance I edge of Googling.
I backed up contacts / calendar to Outlook
copied the photos / videos / music to help drag and drop through my documents / my computer
And then restored to factory settings.
Some sites say that for this you go in Options/Security/security wipe, but that erases all your data and not the software (which in this case was corrupted)
Factory reset is now pushed 3 buttons at the same time Alt / aA (right symbol) / del
Then Yes, you lose all the preferences / set ups and must use the browser for Blackberry App World once again, i.e. Once loaded, all applications you used to have must be in the view "uninstalled" from Blackberry App World / My World.
After all this, I thought that much, it seems, as battery problem has been resolved, an hour later he died.
My partner has offered to lend me his battery, when we change places I noticed my battery was marginally more roughly in the Middle, mmm battery certainly at its release, the time for a new.
next problem is then to the place to buy, many of those cheap on ebay, but necessarily false/second hand, oh well, keep looking.
Good bye

BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones Downgrade 9300 software
I downloaded the Blackberry 6 software on my Blackberry Curve 9300 and I noticed that my battery is empty so easily and it is a bit slow and I feel as if it was because my phone does not support very well. Is there a way I can change it in Blackberry 5 software? I found the software Blackberry 5 but I'll click on update and it checks only the software updates and was told it is not new that is not what I want, and when I searched how downgrade, he gave me measures, but I can't find that its telling me to click on my phone if anyone can help me please let me know!
For now, the oldest operating system loading, I let the downgrade applications as well.
For example, you could have installed an application compatible only on OS6.
Also, make sure you do a backup of your device using the Desktop software first. Then you can reinstall all contacts, calendar, etc., would there be problems along the way. Engage with the downgrade by the instructions above.

New blackBerry for Blackberry Curve smartphones
Hello! I just got a Blackberry Curve yesterday and now I have a few questions. How you can delete text messages all at the same time without having to remove them one at a time? In addition, if you want to send a text message to several people, how do you do that? Thanks for any help!
You can do two ways.
- First is a prerequisite to delete - select the date, the menu and choose Delete before. This will remove all messages before and including the selected date.
- Or if you just want to delete a block of messages, just hold down the SHIFT key (lower left/right keys), and select messages, view the menu and choose Delete Messages
To send to more than one person, after choosing the first person, the menu and choose Add a recipient

Problem white screen blackBerry curve Smartphones
I'll have forced major with my Blackberry Curve
The guard screen goes white and white, then the phone resets and guard going round and round in circles and reset shutter. A few times, loaded it up, but at the time when I sent a message he has gone empty again and reset.
This last time, he loaded the screen says... untrapped exception limit<=4 ...="" or="" something="" very="">=4>
Please help because I have no idea what to do about it.
Thank yo for a advise you can give me.
Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for five minutes and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.
Let us know what happens.

BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones - device password problem
I have a Blackberry Curve and for the life of me can't remember the password for the device.
I went under 'options', 'security options', then 'General Settings '.
It is set to 'active '. When I try to set it to "disabled", her asking me my password and I can't remember it.
Only went to this section of the phone to see if I even had a password initially because when I try to connect to the Mediasync, he asked me for one.
Does anyone know how I can recover my password or where I could find it? I have 10 tries and have already used up to 6. The 5th try it asked me to type "blackberry".
Thanks in advance.
Chris
Make full backup with BlackBerry Desktop Software (BB Desktop Manager).
In case you used all attempts and the memory of the device are deleted to restore the saved data and you will get other attempts and so on.
Unfortunately there is no way to recover the forgotten password.
