HP Pavilion DV7 3110TX - region Code Incorrect

I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV7 3110 tx, Windows 7.

I never really used the laptop for viewing of DVDs so far and observe through the HP Media Smart DVD player it says that my area is 6.

I live in Australia and my dvd were bought here - region 4.

There is no problem watching the current dvd I have 3 remaining changes before it is locked.

As all my dvd's 4 region that will soon become a problem so my question is - how to change the region setting in order to take account where I live to avoid this?

Concerning

Hello

I don't know why, we can go to HN, JBHiFi... where we can buy region free DVD player for say $ 70. But players on our computers always have codes region locked. A single argument: we cannot copy/rip of a normal DVD player. Anyway, back to your case, unless you can hack the drive on your laptop, you must make sure that the last test should be region 4 otherwise, when the machine from locking in the region whatever (not 4), you will not be able to play the DVD in region 4.

Kind regards.

    Hello forum users HP

NOTE: SORRY I WRITE THIS IN THE BAD ADVICE. ALL "NOTEBOOK TIPS" WERE / IS 'READ ONLY' NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST IT. IT IS THE COUNCIL CLOSER TO YOU, I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.

I had problems trying to play new games (Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying many problems on the forums of game specific, I came to the conclusion that my video card is what affect my ability to play these games.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64-bit Windows 10.

    • Processor Quad-Core AMD Phenom P960
    • 4.00 GB ram
    • AMD Radeon HD 6300 M series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'graphics cards.

The problem that seems to hinder my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series card. Looking in the Device Manager I see it's a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went on the site of AMD and installed the new beta drivers of Crimson 15.11.1.

    I found this post:

and follow up post mrgooyes (about 4-5 responses down) and again I have no luck.

I thought maybe since I opened my laptop some time ago and didn't eventually plug them into common sense could be considered, but my dad says they're integrated into the motherboard. I'm starting to believe, it is a problem with Windows 10 and alas, I have no possibility of return.

If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know if there is more information that I would need to post and I will gladly try my best to keep guys updated day.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

I suppose that the link does not work as I thought.

If you go to the link and click on modify in the light blue box under the picture of my laptop, it will allow you to change the OS to windows 7, which is the factory installed OS for my laptop. You will find the driver I posted once you do this.

On another note, my Windows Update has installed some drivers for the cards and their revenue to the original state that they were (code 43). How can I stop windows update install this specific update?

Until you return to the supported o/s there is no real solution to your problem right now.

  • HP Pavilion DV7-6154nr incorrect sound driver?

Hello, I bought this laptop a few years ago, and since then, I had to reformat and update my installation of windows.

After the first time I did a format hard drive, I noticed my sound quality was MUCH worse, and my knees did NOT use the integrated subwoofer (Beats Audio). I have audio, but this isn't the same quality.

I was advised to install IDT audio drivers for my model, but I cannot yet access the audio interface of beats after, and will be the subwoofer or sound work improved.

After you have installed the recommended card drivers, I go to the control panel > sounds and try to find anything with a hint of the interface audio beats or settings, but I don't see speakers "2-high definition Audio Device", and device lists 2 audio interfaces Manager, ' AMD high definition Audio Device "and"high definition Audio Device ".

I'm sure theres nothing wrong with my speakers, they stopped just by using the improved sound and the subwoofer, after my reformat, just after in fact.

  • Pavilion DV7-4177: 4177 Pavilion DV7 Error Codes?

I have a Pavilion DV7 4177 that won't start, beep 15 times. The Caps Lock Led flashes 3 times in repetitive cycles. At HP I guess 3 led flashing documents indicate memory error, but what is sound? The screen stays black and there is no other message. I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

The most common cause of a computer beep when starting is a module.3 of cowards or bad memory flashes is also indicative of the loose or bad memory module. While is is not terribly common for both to fail at the same time, it happens. If it were my laptop I would try a new memory module-even one only if the budget is a problem.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 button walk / stop does not

Hi, I recently had my Hp Pavilion dv7-1245dx Entertainment Notebook (to the best of my knowledge bc, I can't look it up in my product number) fixed some viruses and malware that caused random stops and freezes. My laptop worked fine after that the fix so I installed the latest updates to better protect my laptop but when I left and my laptop came into fashion 'sleep' it would not respond and the screen was black. I stopped using the power button and it turned back. The computer does not start and the flash caps lock button three times which means a problem of memory, according to HP support, that happened before I got my laptop fixed. Later, I unplugged the AC adapter and moved my laptop but when I tried to put it on the power button does not respond and I can't do anything with my laptop. Both recommended options for the issue of cap locks and the power button is to go inside my laptop and tinkering with the battery and the memory module. I'm very hesitant to do so for fear of further harm to my laptop. I am on Windows 7 and advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. (will give you more information if necessary)

    With respect,

    ACertainGuy

Your notebokdoes have removable covers for the module of memory in the bottom of the laptop. It's just as shown in the document I linked.

You will need to buy a Jewelers screwdriver set.  A jewellers Phillips scredriver is necessary.

Here is a link to a documentthat explains the flashing LED error codes and what they mean.

The only other option, if you do not have enough confidence to do it yourself, is to take your laptop in a shop that will do it for you.

    Best regards

  • Pavilion DV7-1451nr: Wireless button stays amber

My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop. After that, I would like to press f10 to enter the bios setup, then I would like to load the defaults, save and exit.

After doing all that I have explained above, the wireless button becomes blue and wireless assistant would be activated and indicates that the wireless is turned on. If I check in the Device Manager, I see the hardware details and driver wireless populated it and everything should work fine, but once I restart the computer, the wireless button would refuse to start. There is orange. If I try to check the State of the material status and driver WLAN on Device Manager, they would be is more filled it more and wireless assistant will refuse to start. If by chance he started, this would indicate that the wireless is turned off by the Device Manager.

I had tried uninstalling the wireless LAN driver and reinstalled just in case the problem came from the software side but not solution. Just this afternoon, I have decoupled from the computer and removed the card WLAN, dusted it and replace it back, but the problem persists.

The type of wireless network card is Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g WiFi adapter. I noticed something this afternoon, however, after having checked the service manual for the computer, I realized that there is specific types of the wireless card compatible for specific regions. For example, the number of appropriate wlan spare parts which must be on my computer is 582564-002 and have this with references with the number of spare part of wlan on the wireless card available on my computer that begins with sps 452..., I realized something was wrong. I'll leave that to stop you guys from HP, but I really need a solution to this problem very fast because it's really annoying me. Thank you.

    Hello @LL_Cool_J,

    Thanks for the information!

I don't know what you mean, when he asked if the model is 50xx or 40xx. Confirming the WLAN Module is a little difficult, because there are several manuals maintenance for this model.  I was able to refine the selection a bit, by comparing the numbers of spare part for hard drives.  Based on this REPAIR, the WLAN Modules you have listed, 582564-002, 593836-001, must be compatible.  However, I don't see the Atheros as option in this manual.  To be on the safe side, you can contact our telephone support HP.  Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP.
