  I have a Curve 8310. I've recently updated the V4.2 desktop software (which I got with the Bkackberry) to V4.6 on my home and work PCs. When I try now to back up the Blackberry, I get an error message "Error in backup database (s)". This happens on both computers. I uninstalled V4.6 and re-intalled V4.2, but the same problem persists. Previously, I had no problems. I run XP Pro on PC and backup using a USB cable. I have no problem of synchronization. The software on the Blackberry is V4.2.2.146. It only will allow me to save only about 1/2 the elements when I use the Option advanced to select specific data. When he allowed me to save 1/2 of the elements in this way, an error message appears when I try to restore these parts!

  You could try to erase the database alarm Options (not much to back up to the top here anyway), then try the backup again.

  To disable it, click the backup and restore icon, and then click Advanced.  When your device databases fill (right), click the alarm Options, and then click the clear button.

  Then again the backup screen, then retry the backup.

  I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.

  It is a white circle with a white arrow pointing South West and black in the middle of the circle and a small red star on the top right of the icon, the same that appears in the top right...

  I have a Blackberry Curve and for the life of me can't remember the password for the device.

  I went under 'options', 'security options', then 'General Settings '.

  It is set to 'active '.  When I try to set it to "disabled", her asking me my password and I can't remember it.

  Make full backup with BlackBerry Desktop Software (BB Desktop Manager).

  In case you used all attempts and the memory of the device are deleted to restore the saved data and you will get other attempts and so on.

  Hi, I just got my BlackBerry Curve yesterday and have two questions that left me mouth gaping so far.

  (1) my menu has no icon "Settings and tools", I tried the option "Show all", still not there. How to do it?

  (2) I have retrieve email on my PC for the most and that you want to turn off the blinking red light because I get lots of emails and the light is constantly flashing and boring.

  (c) Select Volume (the options are mute, low, medium, high, climbing)

  (e) select Repeat Notification (options are None, flashing LED)

  So I've recently updated my Blackberry Curve 8520... without the data plan. No use of BBSAK. Luckily, I backed up my camera. I made a mistake to remove it. I found the file in "Recycling bin" and retrieved information. I have a quesiton about how to read this file? My SONY laptop cannot view this file without having to find a new software.

  Without thinking, I converted somehow 'Backup2011-22-3' of Adobe Flash software. Whatever it is, it still cannot be displayed.

  in any case, after the update of the software, none of my information was on the device. I went to restore my device successfully. However, none of my notes have been restored! Initially, the "Memo" application has not been downloaded on my Blackberry. I downloaded and then restored my device once more. Yet once, the memos do not show upward. I really need them! :/

  If there is no way, I am also satisfied if someone helped me get my restorations. Or convert them somehow to a visible form.

  This is not a pdf file. Its a .ipd file. Make sure that your computer is set to 'show extensions of known file types '. You can google for the instructions step by step to do. If its an ipd extension but the pc isshowing who his a dobe of the file, you need to change the file association for the .ipd files.

  When you do a selective restore of this ipd file it should show you the number of database entries is in the Memo database. If your notes are not in there, then there is nothing anyone can do. I suggest make you backups more often and/or synchronize with Outlook to avoid additional data loss.

• Replacement Palm TX has problems white screen even after hard reset

  I hope someone can help me find a solution.

  I've been a happy user of Palm OS since the early days of Palm III.  After a Palm III and V, had a Sony Clié which lasted a long time, but finally fact poop, went to a Z22 and broken screen, then almost but not quite a year ago (in warranty, so-called), bought a Palm TX.  Worked great for a while but ends with a unit I could not turn on or off because the switch was dead.  Worked around to keep the sync cord and power on by pressing the button and then cancelling.  Finally he sent for repair under warranty.  Return a unit back to me.

  It worked well for almost a month, then it started (with no new software or usage patterns) to have white screen problems.  To resolve this problem, I tried a lot of things.  Soft reset, reset hard, leaving completely take its battery for weeks at a time.  Nothing works; It continues to go on me.  In addition, the sound is strange and garish when it beeps (for example accept zone after reset).  I bought the TX to the United States when I was home for a visit last July, but am currently living in the Netherlands.

  I am very frustrated trying to solve this problem.  I am disappointed with the support decreases for a PDA (which is not a phone) with Palm OS.  Since I am living (though not comfortably or well) without my calendar, address book, alarm, player, dbs, cookbook, checklist, etc., I am seriously considering to leave Palm OS.  My preference is to resolve this problem, and my idea nearly a year ago was to climb the Palm OS until it was completely gone (embedded in phones, anyway), but my problems have discouraged me to the point that I wonder if it is my end.

  Hello..  Not at all.   I suggest that because it was repaired in the United Kingdom, which indicates that it is a device of UK. Otherwise they would not be able to fix it it were an American feature.  Warrenties are the same, Yes, but on the marginal seas cannot be fixed across the country, they were designed for.  If it is a U.S. unit that UK should have refused to repair and referred you to US support.  Because it didn't happen I guess that's a device and if so you need to communicate with them. From the link that I sent you, on the left thumb to contact us, there are ways to communicate with them another email then. If it fails try another phone and I'm sure you can get this resolved.  If it is infact a device US contact our support pda to US @ 866-935-7256

You can Reset the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. Helping others it restores the default settings.

  You can do two ways.

  1. First is a prerequisite to delete - select the date, the menu and choose Delete before. This will remove all messages before and including the selected date.
  2. Or if you just want to delete a block of messages, just hold down the SHIFT key (lower left/right keys), and select messages, view the menu and choose Delete Messages

  To send to more than one person, after choosing the first person, the menu and choose Add a recipient
