BlackBerry CURVE VS PEARL smartphone

I had the PEARL and just improved the 8330 curve. Is their a lot of a difference in size and all it you better please for those who first had the PEARL?

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I had shrapnel and loved, but the curve is much better in my opinion.

In my view, the curve is a little wider than the Pearl.

    Hello

Just got my new phone yesterday - BlackBerry Curve 3900 3 OS 6 with Orange contract - but arrived at a few problems already. Hope someone can help me

First of all, I have the wifi through my home broadband configuration, and works well. But sometimes he connects to the Internet via orange, I don't want to because I will pay on my Bill. Anyway, is specifically to make sure that I only use my wifi signal? Like turning off internet access completely orange to leave only my wifi at home?

Secondly, I can't access MSN messenger (the service is not enabled for this handset).  Also I can not connect to my NTL email accounts. (When I try to email facility, its asking me to enter my corporate account.) I don't have or need one, I just want to get into my home email accounts. But there is no option for this internet e-mail

I read somewhere that I may need to pay an additional amount of £5 to my service provider for internet access. But I don't want their internet, I have my own wifi. Of course, these problems can be solved somehow?

    Thank you very much

    Vince

The £5 bolt comes with a number of inclusive data, normally 500 MB - 1 GB, to use when out and about. Blackberry bolt also allows access to blackberry servers that provide the functions of mail electronics push

I went into a store and the blackberry technical problem, it's a piece inside the unit. I think that's not true.

There is no way, at a distance from the internet, for anyone 2nd guessing a qualified technician who had the BB in their hands.

    But... try Safe Mode:

    Reverse all that started happening.

Also, how long do you wait before deciding that it is 'frozen' (sic)? If you are not waiting for at least 30 minutes, then you can not wait long enough...

    No it's not.

And besides, nowhere in your previous post tell you that you can not use the AppWorld, you said you could not download Protect because you are given a message that fails that appworld on your device, which makes no sense to me because you are trying to download Protect.

Anyway, download, it is that I said. Just checked, you don't need AppWorld installed.

  • BlackBerry - Blackberry Curve 3 G Smartphones music

Hi everyone, HELP!  If I download music from a Web site, where I would go to play music?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

If you have downloaded the real files that they should appear in your Media Manager application in the music. Do a hard reset (battery pull) to reset the devices index files and see if they appear.

  • Maximum number of devices bluetooth pairable with Blackberry Curve and Pearl

I am writing a MIDP for Blackberry application and need to pair with many (dozens or more) equipment connected by Bluetooth - although they will not all be connected at the same time. Initially I will be discovered these other devices thanks to the discovery of normal Java device and then access it as PREKNOWN devices. Is there a limit to how many "known" devices that can be stored on these phones? And as the list grows very likely this will cause significant performance problems on the application?

From what I've already read in this forum, I guess that the devices cannot be "pre-loaded" by programming on phones, essentially bypassing the normal discovery process. Is this actually true?

    Thank you.

I know there is no way to preload bluetooth paired devices list.

Also, there is no limit on the devices in the list of paired devices.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8310 unlocked smartphones and software update

If I update the OS on my Blackberry 8310 will it still be unlocked? It is marked as ATT but I use it with T-Mobile and T-Mobile does support not the 8310, so I'll have to install the update from att.

    Welcome to the skully13 forums

No, the phone OS update should not affect your phone somehow. As a general rule, you can refresh using any carrier version as long as it's for the same phone model number. The only thing you need to do is delete the Vendor.xml file located in C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\AppLoader before using Desktop Manager to do the update

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 application smartphone is no longer to unlock the password

    Hello

I had my Curve 8520 now for almost 4 years and now all of a sudden the password to unlock my device no longer appears. I'm not sure why this happened, but does me no favor, because now anyone can enter. I tried deactivating and reactivating it but without success.

Ok thank you. Please understand that what I try to do is understand your situation... If I misunderstood it, I could give you potentially incorrect advice, some of which may indeed be quite catastrophic. So my understanding of your real and complete situation is essential to prevent that from happening.

If something has changed on your BB to change how it worked before. Since you are not on BES, then generally it Content Protection or encryption... with those under tension, you must have a locking device assigned password. Since you can't remember everything that has changed, we will be then all first consider this as ' behavior strange coincidence "...

Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Good luck!

  • Memory of blackBerry Curve 8310 for Smartphones

I want to add some memory on my phone but I see conflicting information as to what type to get.  Can someone PLEASE suggest the correct type and size of my Curve 8310?  I hope I can put a 8 GB card in but I have a feeling that's not going to fly

Thank you and I think that this place rocks!

    Hello

as far as im aware, the 8310 can only support SD. next to this, to check your available on board memory, go to Options > status. It will show you your memory in bytes, divide this number by 1024, and then THIS number by 1024 to find your data available in MBs.

Note: This does not show the available media space map

  • BlackBerry Curve 8310 email smartphone icon question

The e-mail icon will not disappear on the screen.  It shows that I have a single message.  Well, I went and deleted all of the messages on my phone, but it still appears.  Next to the messages on the screen it says (1 unread).  Anyone have any ideas.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry by holding ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or removing and reinserting the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Clean and reload your OS.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 of Smartphones camera-can't save photos

    Greetings,

Just upgraded to the curve 8330 after that my 8703e died.

Received yesterday and took a picture and saved it. Did not consider the meter that I didn't even know it existed then.

Activated my email and etc through today assistance companies.

Went to play with the camera, but it says that I have no available file space to save a photo. The meter indicates "000" available. I can't saved pictures.

I tried a soft reboot, but that has not helped. Any suggestions or ideas? I am with Verizon, if that helps.

    Thank you in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

    1. If you are on a BES company, check with your administrator COMPUTER relating to any policy on your device that could prevent you from taking pictures.

    2. always check media options and see what is on the reserved pictures memory.  If set to 0, which seems to be your problem.

However, you don't want be save photos to the memory of the device anyway since it is precious & your device needs to work properly.  Instead, make sure you have a multimedia card installed for saving photos-music-videos-ringtones-voice notes.  Go to the options-camera; Scroll to the image bank and select ' we media card.

Let us know how it goes.

  • BlackBerry curve 8520 random smartphone reset

Hi guys I recently got my bb curve 8520, but I noticed that it would be to randomly reboot without having to make a traction battery or the alt-shift-delete method me. There randomly restart twice I am I am very confused as to why she did this and when I rebooted, it started to the top of normal, but when I checked it again it restarts alone, help me please! I don't know if this is normal or what help please!

    Good question.

A change in the operating system can change the appearance and functionality. The latest version (and it will probably not be another) is OS 5. If you go to Options > on the 3rd down line will tell you the operating system current yours is running - mine is v5.0.0.681 are the latest from my operator (Orange UK).

When you get to the part in the instructions to go on the web to find the latest version of your carrier it will also give you the choice of an earlier version. 5 OS is good, I have not heard the complaints of those upgrading the OS 4. ? I have heard many for those able to get OS 6 - the 8520 can not.

As a fail safe module, if you are not yet on OS 5 and that you don't like, you can go back.

The only other thing that could cause you a problem - BIG problem - if you do not have a backup. Oh and you can see that you already have the latest OS. This gap of PC and start again.
