  I can't find "Temporary directory" setting and don't know what to do with it, if I found it.

  You must delete the document in the folder C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Local\Temp\moz_mapi.

  These folders etc are in the "AppData" folder, which is hidden by default.
  You bring up the folders and hidden files.

  Running outlook express 6.  When you try to send or receive mail, download the message that I need to run scandisk.  There is a corrupted file.  What should I do?  Is there a way of fixing the damaged file or reinstall outlook or messaging software update?

  Try a new identity.
   
  You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.
   
  Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.

  With a Q10 how to copy an email address (without contact) recipients e-mail received in the body of another email? With my Torch 9800 I could click on the name of the person who sent me the email and select "Show email address" and then click on copy. I can't understand how to do this with a Q10.

  With the Q10 when I open an email that I can see the senders email address when I type the blue header to pass,

  I need to copy this address into another email as simply transfer it to another person does not display email address.

  Try this Brian... Once you open the e-mail, type the name of the sender, it will then show the email account and to which it is sent in an expanded view. Now tap and hold on the sender name again, the right vertical bar should now appear, select copy name. Head to the new body of the e-mail, press and hold in the body of the email right vertical bar appears, select Paste. Note that it will also stick the name next to the email address, so you can delete if you do not need.

  This is how I do it, found nothing as fast as this so far. Hope that helps.

  I just changed to the Q10 of the 9930.  On my 9930, I was able to add my signature to any message by typing 'Sig' because I saved my signature under this abbreviation.  Is it possible to define also upward on Q10?  I mean that I put it on the BIS recording there website.

  Nevermind, I figured out what to do.  I forgot that I had gone in and added a word substitution for "sig" so whenever I type "GIS" in a text is written my signature.

  I can't send / receive email from phone above the message that is displayed. U.S. carrier Verizon and I did not update-not yet available on Verizon. Have the valid password, but it does not work. How can I fix it? And what is this little eye which is now popping up as when I put in password?

  • Settings > accounts > delete the hotmail account.
  • Restart: Press and hold the power button on top about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 321 timer and hold until the screen goes black and you will see the red LED.
  • Settings > accounts > add the account back.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

  (1) registry HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

  (2) Service reference books

  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then please provide a fuller description of what exactly happens when you try to send a BBM message.

  I try to help my boss with a BlackBerry problem.  She's got a Curve 8310.

  For the first time, its log messages and email call suddenly disappeared.  I followed the instructions I've seen in other posts to find the free memory of reading space, which is currently at 6386939 bytes (after a hard reset).  Who is considered low?

  I deleted the unused languages.

  The cache of the browser was already at 0.

  I adjusted its parameters so that delete e-mails after 30 days (she had set at 2 months).

  The only non pre-installed application on the phone is Hanheld Contact, allowing it to synchronize wirelessly with our act! database.

  She has several pictures on his phone, and I don't think it synchronizes on the desktop, because she's not using it with Outlook (ACT! replaces Outlook).  I can do so that she can bring out of his phone, but is the only issue here of memory?

  Wow, that's REALLY low. This number means that there are only 6 MB of free space. It is recommended to have at LEAST 15 MB of free space. Check under Options | Status, click the menu button, then choose the database sizes. What number is listed for total size at the top?

  If the content store is really big, it means that all the multimedia files (pictures, videos, etc.) are saved in the memory of the device rather than a media card. Your boss has a media card to store media?

  Have you also changed the setting keep appointments to something below as you did with the setting keep the Messages?

  Is there a way to have my text messages sent to my folder 'messages', their integration with my e-mail messages? I don't like to check two folders for messages. I know that the Ribbon bar at the top shows the text messages, but I do check not only (or the text message folder) very often. Former BB models could incorporate these functions, but I do not know how to proceed with the torch.

  go to the "Messages" application Open the menu, select options, and then in 'Inbox settings', you should be able to check the SMS.

  Maybe someone is faking headers (maybe not even knowingly) emails they send some and the address "" is yours.  Maybe they are infected/infested and their address book is used to send e-mail to individuals at random the random addresses. Could be done on purpose.  However, since they are * theft * e-mail address and not really sending your email address - not much * YOU * can do about it beyond making sure that all of your systems are to clean / free infections/infestations and that each know * you * do not send messages, but they will want to check their systems to see if they are infested/infected.

  Search for malware:

  Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

  I just moved to a Curve 8900 for a 9000 "BOLD". On the curve, all messages - e-mail, SMS, MMS, etc - were listed in the Messages folder.  On the "BOLD", email and SMS/MMS appear in two separate folders.  Is there a way for all types of messages appear in the Messages (or am I just not yet familiar with the "BOLD")?

  It is an option, with any message list, click on the BBKey and select Options > General Options. One of the items will be "SMS and email Inboxes"... set it as you wish.

  I am looking to reduce the size of the photos when I send by e-mail. On my Bold 9900 it always came with the size before attaching them. Can't find same on Q10. ???

  There are a lot of photo editor apps in BlackBerry World. It may include the possibility of reducing the resolution.
