BlackBerry Q5 battery draining - BBM - HELP!

I really hope someone can help me with this,
I have a Blackberry Q5. I never use BBM, but I can't delete it.
My battery recently has been draining so fast, I loaded my phone yesterday, he unplugged at 04:00, went to bed, got up at 10:00 and the battery was at 25%! I checked my battery and night BBM had used 67% battery!
I was asleep, so I wasn't using using BBM surveys? And I never use it not in all cases.
I really need help, I disabled all of the alerts for BBM, moved to the bottom of my Hub, what can I do else?
Why would he do that?

Sorry for the double wire - never used it did not before.

I tried your advice and that did not work - BBM is updated it is over the top and still has do the oil change.
However, I solved the problem, I restarted the phone and now it seems to be ok and returned to 0.01% of the use of the battery.
Thanks for the help though! x

  • Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry battery drain! Help, please!

Hello world. I desperately need help. Until a week ago my bb curve worked very well. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive MMS. I checked to make sure that nothing has changed with my service plan, and it was beautiful. Then, a few days ago, my battery started to drain quickly. I don't use internet on this subject, I use not all applications other than those basic, and I use only all day. It charges all night while I SLEEP, and then, at the point where I did with a 7-hour working day, the battery is dead. I just checked right now, not yet watched because I took it off the charger, 2 hours ago and its already lost a brick and a half. By reading some things on the internet it looks like apps fast battery drain. But since I do not use those, what would it be? I also wifi and blue tooth off the power, so it cannot be the ones. Looks like a coincidence little precise that my picture messages stop working, and now the battery is dying. Any help? The phone is only a few months, so this seems weird. And for reference, it's a curve 8520 and I use Tmobile. Thank you!!

It's strange. Have you made a difficult start (removed the battery for a few minutes) to clear the memory? Sometimes things get hung up

I use quite a few apps on my own and always close when I leave them, to keep them from power draining. Even with photos, music, Twitter and the Internet, I have to recharge every two or three days.

Mabes, it seems to me that your phone has developed a problem, and you can return to your provider, expecially since it's so new.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones battery drain with High CPU (v6.0 Bundle 3049) because of the net.rim.io.impl module

    Hello

    .

I have improved my Torch (9800) a week ago and have been noticiing battery drain issues.  The problem is NOT persistent, but is most of the time that goes well.  I am currently on OS v6.0 bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706, Devils 6.6.0.246).  My Wifi and Bluetooth are always TURNED off.  Only by using the Bell network, for which I have all 5 bars available.

    .

I investigated further and found that the Blackberry system software was running with more than the processor - usually in the 1970s high, 90 same high.  And this corresponded over the hours until the battery was dead.  I have since deleted all the apps I have suspecpected - such as the Office of Nice and LinkedIn.  But the problem persists.

    .

Battery pull was made several times, as I checked and there is no update of the OS.

    .

Now, currently, only the Basic apps are loaded (Alt-Back): home, BBM, phone, Messages, Borwser.  All other applications are closed or exit.

    .

Further study in the modules of the system software of BB, I found that the net_rim_io_impl, is her consuming ALL the CPU.  I don't know where/what this module does - so I'm not clear on this service within the BB I can disable (OFF) to get rid of the issue.

    .

Please see the following screenshots, the CPU for the system a little, drops as Options use a part, otherwise it goes back 90 years, if left alone: -.

And in the system software of BB: -.

    .

Please help and guide, with either a fix to the module, or via a workaround solution, in which some service can be stopped or a setting can be changed to avoid this battery drain.

    .

    Thank you!

I think it could have been resolved in a second thread.

    Hello. I have a Curve 9360 since January 2012.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry PRIV battery drain & heating problem

    Hello Blackberry, team

I bought PRIVATE released last week from classic BB. PRIV has severe heating and battery especially drainage problem while loading and between 100% and 40% of battery (drains 60%) in 1-2 hours.

Note that I do not use heavy duty applications and it heats up even when kept or wait (especially during loading).

My Apps are up to date

Operating system is up to date

I have restored several times, but still have the same question (even if no other apps are installed).

Question: Is it a solution to this? BlackBerry is working on it or just forget it and move on to other brands?

Finally and above all, I'm on Blackberry for the past 12 years... I really hope they take their clients seriously around the world.

    Hey parthz8,

Sometimes it happened while the load when I got 5.1.1 but now with Android M 6.0 seems to be fixed.

What I was doing when it was happening, it is to reset the phone with the power button for 10 seconds while it was still connected to the charger. Sometimes a couple of reset is necessary

  • BlackBerry (Malaysia) battery draining Q10 Software update 10.1.0.4181

Updated my q10 with the foregoing and the battery drains much faster than before the update. Everyone facing the same issue on that? Please help, the battery is not even last a full day with minimal use.

    Hello

Depending on when you made this update, this can be normal. There is a period where a lot of activity happening between the device and network services to synchronize data, link contacts, etc.. It has been reported that after 48 hours maybe things "settle" and return to normal. However, be aware that each new OS will have an another 'normal' for you when it comes to consumption of the battery... you determine what is 'normal for you' with this new OS and then only worry when things stray too far from this new 'normal '.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Z30 battery draining high after update 10.3.2.2474

The battery drains quickly after the 10.3.2.2474 update.  The monitor of the device shows that it is the standby process that uses between 25% and 40% of the battery.  This process uses a good amount of CPU.  I tried to restart the unit a couple of times to see if that solves it, but it doesn't.

Is there a fix or the means to return to the previous version of the OS?  I can't even make at 15:00 without having to recharge my phone.  So much for the famous BlackBerry battery life...

It does not allow that BlackBerry charger provided with the new phone is only 850mA and the phone does not recognize as a BlackBerry charger (aka, it takes a long time to load in the middle of the day, when it is low).

    Bob

I have confirmed that the problem disappears when it is not connected to the TLS - based EAP wifi connection.

I am currently in direct contact with the support of BB.

A too common mistake... so the information I put in my auto-sig on all my messages, couple with the information that I linked to above.

Everything possible about how get the formal support is contained in the thread I linked to you in the post 4 above. Please read carefully... for you will find BlackBerry (there is no more RIM) directly services no guarantee nor provides first line support to end users. Please read this information carefully so that you can decide how you want to proceed.

  • BlackBerry Z10 battery drains quickly and the phone gets hot

I noticed that my Z10 become hot and the battery takes time to load, and when it is disconnected from the power, the battery drains quickly in less than 1 h.

Please, what is someone with the same experience?

  • BlackBerry Q10 battery drain.

Recently, I noticed that my battery drains much faster during the day that he did previously. No apps etc. are running, and the only thing I changed is a recent update of 10.2.1.2977.

Is there a way I can check/monitor which is using my battery?

    Hello!
    I have the same problem.

Without doubt, it is caused by the OS of the phone.

To monitor your search for power BBVE battery on your device, then search for device status button. (the third, but I may be wrong)

There, you can get all information about your battery.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones battery drains quite quickly

I recently inserted a 16 GB microSD card in my 9000 "BOLD" and I saw that my BB begins to drain its batteries fast enough. It is are not all applications running in the background, that I make sure I have leave them correctly, and I rarely use Wifi or Bluetooth. I'm completely confused as to why it loses power so quickly.

I don't know if you have the same problem, but what the heck.

Go to the media-> Options-> exclude folders. I had the most about 5 GB of data in my 16 GB memory card, so I excluded almost all of my files to memory card. This reduces the consumption of the battery.

But there is a downside to not sort files, if you access then they would be slow to respond because they have not sorted so far here. I don't know when the sorting ends, probably after 3-4 days or something more, but I didn't have the patience.

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones battery draining way too fast

At my curve for a couple of years now. Throughout the last two weeks, it starts to drain a battery in 4 hours with moderate use. And it's the same if I use the old or one of my new batteries, so it is obviously not the battery itself. Even if I don't use it, it will go to red in 6 to 8 hours, where it is used to hold a charge for a few days, even with heavy use. I checked the terminals and they are clean.

    Any thoughts?

The PTT is maybe a problem. Check with your service provider if it can be disabled or removed from your device.

As last step you can try to recharge the device:

    1. portable data backup: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12487

    2 backup 3rd party applications: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-back-up-3rd-party-applications-53201/

    3. perform a clean installation of your operating system: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320

4 restore backup database (only important, those for example address book): http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

5 restore apps backed up in step 2.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones battery drains quickly

    Hello everyone.

One of our users has a Bold 9780 (OS 6.0.0.570 platform 6.6.0.212, which is the last of our carrier), and since a few weeks ago, it drains the battery very quickly. I mean, he cannot even stay alive for six hours in a State of absolute rest.

Very ofter the bb stucks with black, loading clock.

We tried the following solutions, and nobody has succeeded:

    • changed three different devices
    • the fourth device has been used successfully to another person, but with the end user, it has the usual problem
    • wiped a single device and put a new firmware
    • removed applications
    • the BES deleted account and then recreated
    • disabled the "cleaner memory" option - it has never been activated, however, but I saw this trick in the forums
    • Charger AC/DC has changed
    • change of SIM card
    • changed 3 batteries

I must say that I used his camera today, and with my account it behaves properly. My bb was given, as a test, to that person and it drains the battery.

I don't know what to do or what to try, because I changed everything I could. You have no idea, please?

    Thank you!

Got the fix: he was the module phone consuming a lot of CPU because of a damaged database. Complete the thread here.
