BlackBerry service?

Newbie here, advance good world of BB but I have a simple question: the runtime environment Java BB has the notion/class for a Service as a Windows or Android? I know that I can turn off my own son to do things, but I used to have an autonomous formal service that is controlled by my application (I have an existing Windows/Android application that I'm porting to BB) sort of.

Thanks in advance!

You can use blackberry app to autostart. We have a self start background application that starts when the device is started and running all the time. We also have a user interface that is launched by using the alternate entry point.

Here is a link to help you get started. http://StackOverflow.com/questions/1078654/how-to-make-auto-start-application-in-BlackBerry

Hello, I have a unlocked blackberry mobile device (9000) and I would like to use the blackberry service. I use this unit for a project for the University and I only need this for 2 months. Can I connect to the blackberry service through the talk?

I discovered on 3 supplier who is also the provider sim card I'm sure I can have the blackberry for 5 pounds a month service, but they can't guarantee if I'll be able to use the service blackberry because of the device is unlocked.

Does anyone have an idea about it, how to use the blackberry service on talk?

No guarantee, but I found an unlocked phone that runs happily on the 3 network.  I suspect that it covers the back saying that he could not work and suggest that you should really buy one of their phones.

My storm was not able to connect to Blackberry services (browser, e-mail, instant messaging, etc.) for about four days.  Speaking with Verizon, they said it's a matter of Blackberry.  They had me go and re - save my table d ' hôte, which has not solved anything.  Services came about 2 minutes this afternoon and I received a cargo of e-mails, blackberry messages and messages from Yahoo messenger and then they dropped again.

  • Passport Netwrok blackBerry services

    Hello

I just bought a BlackBerry passport.

I want to ask if I need to continue using Balckberry Network Services (which are a supplement in my operator) for this device, or if I skip this accusation?

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

You should be able to skip this accusation. Devices inherited from BB required the BIS bolt on other data plans in order to activate the exclusive services of BB. BB10 devices use BIS at all but on some carriers it has even been reported having active actually BIS unit BB10 work properly.

You should be able to jump and have just a 'normal' generic data plan

    Good luck!

    Hi all

Today, it seems that the blackberry provider portal has been updated (at least) in France. Now it seems we can add digital assets in an existing application. The form is called = "add virtual good presentation."

Looks like it was what I was looking for :-)

  • Smartphones blackBerry HELP: I can't receive not make calls, but internet and blackberry services work.

My cousin gave me his blackberry that he bought in the United States, T-Mobile has been the supplier of services. I use the phone with excellent service in Austria, the claimant is Orange. I was going great but now its stopped make or receive calls.  When I try to make calls it displays "call failed" and used to take incoming calls or the other. I have internet with an excellent signal.

Thank you very much for your help!

Yes... it's probably different than what I guessed. Normally, however, who comes from the web browser... not while performing a call... the steps that led to the receipt of this message would be so important to understand if it has nothing to do with your problem.

Smart dialing in the + 1 country code, but Austria, where I live is + 43, I found, that's right, what I have to change?

Smart Dialing could be causal... having developed a country code other than the one you are in would be wrong. See this:

    • KB20595 How to disable the smart Dial feature

Turn it off or set it to your current location.

    jcjc2012 wrote:

About the call to ban, to do something asked of me the password, but I forgot my password, possibility of reactivating the phone system?

I'm not sure call him except password... my service doesn't have this feature. But it seems (to review some user manuals) that there is a required specific password and this password is provided to you by your mobile service provider.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry services

I am a frustrated user of BlackBerry Storm 2 9550.

I bought the phone in the United States in 2008 and when I tried to use the Services of BB to the Kenya could not connect. The phone was carrier Verizon but unlocked. I was able to use the other features save for connection to the internet. But when I went to the United Kingdom, I was able to use BB services on Orange UK SIM card.

A year and a half later, I moved to the Kenya and I can't connect to the BB services again. I tried this with two different mobile service providers, but all in vain. I tried to reach the RIM to help, but my efforts were in vain. I need urgent internet connection.

If anyone can help me. BB Storm 2 without Services of BB is like having money in your bank account but you cannot remove it.

    Sincerely

    Josiah

Yes, the 9550 Verizon isn't always the best device for use outside the USA, since your mobile operator does not have the service books required to activate the browser. This is common for carriers in Africa and Indonesia for a reason, as there are a hundreds of messages in this forum since 2-3 years on this issue.

I do not recommend using Africa unlocked in 9630 9530, 9550, 9650 and.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is browser Blackberry Blackberry Services

I have a Playbook and want to increase its functionality by investing in a Blackberry smart phone. There are a few things I'm not sure and would appreciate advice from participants in the forum:

    1. The Blackberry browser automatically comes with the 9320 curve or is it only available if you pay for the Services of Blackberry?
    2. Are there other features (other than the Blackberry e-mail access and e-mail) that comes with the paid for services?
    3. If I connect a Blackberry Smartphone to my Playbook I'll be able to run applications smartphone installed on my Playbook, although there may be not be an equivalent app Playbook?
    4. What is the oldest version of Outlook that can be synchronized with a smartphone?

Hello... and apologies for the late reply.

    climb45 wrote:

The browser comes as part of the core OS BB on the device, but depending on the level of the OS, it may or may not be able to operate without an adequate data plan subscription. Some (most recent) OS levels allow the browser to function very well via WiFi BB only, while others limit the browser race strictly via BIS (even when WiFi is the data connection only). Opera can be installed on the BB as a replacement browser and normally works very well when WiFi is available. Many 3rd party applications have parameters of configuration inside of them to direct the application to use BIS, BES, WiFi, etc. for their course of data... we must be sure to have the apps configured correctly to allow them access to a functional way, especially when BIS is not due to no data plan subscription.

    climb45 wrote:

    See for general guidance:

It is not quite fully updated for the newer operating system levels (see above re: BB browser), but it is generally reasonable to use.

    climb45 wrote:

Other than BBM and SMS (in newer versions of PB/BB/bridge), I don't know any way to run, your PB, whatever your BB at all. On the BB, he has the ability to remote control of the PB (via Bridge of BB), but not the other way around as far as I understand. Since you will not subscribe bis, you won't have BBM anyway.

    climb45 wrote:

    See this orientation:

    • KB12268 Support for synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows

It is not in itself a function of the smartphone... but rather the version of the desktop software that is in use.

    Good luck!

Do a battery pull should fix your problem and prevent you having to make a phone call.  Just remove the battery while your phone is on and replace it a few seconds later.
