  I had this problem too, and the only solution was to reboot the phone and then remove the battery.  I brought back to the cell shop where I got it; they had placed the phone software updated and location of PRL, they even tried wiping the own phone electronically.

  It was an intermittent problem, so I had to constantly check to see if the ringer would work.  If the cell store eventually brought down and replaced by a new.  Now I think it works very well.  Touch wood.

  Hi and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure that I fully understand what you are looking for in what concerns your BB to lock. If you tried to set a password, and it was not what you liked? You can quickly lock your device in now the * key. If you have a password enabled, you can type on it to unlock everything. If you have a case with a magnet nearby, you can set your device to lock onto Holster. A password is needed to unlock after waking from sleep.
