BlackBerry Smartphones 2 BB and 2 OS installed?

Would appreciate your help on the following:

1. I have 2 BB - 7290 and 8310 - and installed on my PC the CD that came with the latter model.

2 on my laptop, I have updated the old OS and downloaded OS version 4.1.0.375, platform 1.8.0.149.

3 on my PC I have installed the version of Desktop Manager 5.0.1.

That being said,

un) is it possible to also download OS version 4.1.0.375, platform 1.8.0.149. on my PC for my 7290, while having all the 8310 sotware already in it?

b) can the Desktop Manager 'manage' the two models, which means, what can I connect one, check it, disconnect it and then connect the other and have it checked?

This would allow me to save all the hassle of having to change platforms to verify each BB, but do not know if this can be done without some major conflicts and therefore requires clarification on the issue.

Yes, you can do it easily. I manage different models on my PC with installed on the desktop PC operating systems.

DM will recognize the device and the operating system installed.

    Have you tried to install the software of BlackBerry 9320 smartphone to your computer and use BlackBerry Desktop Software to reinstall the application?

    To complete this task, please follow the steps below:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Invalid email and password on blackberry 9790

    I have been using everything ok through POP3 email on my blackberry for the last six months and then all of a sudden yesterday asked me to check the password that I tried to do it but the only message I get, is that my user name or password is invalid.  This is not the case, as I am with the same username and password on outlook and my Ipad and these work perfectly. Can anyone help?

    We had a problem with our email on Wednesday, it is now sorted and the passwords have not been changed.

    I tried the hard reset, tried to set up online service, free books works and still will not accept the good user name and the password.  It's driving me crazy!

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    My Blackberry Torch was stolen recently.  Now that I got my new camera and everything seemed to work OK.  I received emails addressed to it and who is "pushed".  I tried to download an app and had my Blackberry ID need I entered.  She would not accept my new password - so I asked to reset - but the email they were supposed to be sent to my blackberry address did not!  Does anyone have ideas, what can I do now?

    Oh okay Ouch, the using the blackberry.net email account is not good. These emails cannot be found or read any where, but on the BlackBerry smartphone.

    Personally, I never recommend using blackberry.net for this main reason e-mail accounts.

    My best suggestion is to get a gmail or yahoo account for free and create a whole new BlackberryID.

    Then, call your mobile operator Orange and ask them to bring this problem to RIM level two level tech support and get your old account merged or moved to the new BlackBerryID.

    Yes, it's complicated. But it's the only way I see possible... all this because of the password reset. Yuck, indeed.

    When I go to Blackberry.com on my "BOLD" there is a link that says "sync your music iTunes office with your blackberry smartphone: find out how.

    When I get the link to download on my PC for the media sync... It does not seem to do anything.

    Anyone who has tried this and got positive results?

    Anyone using this combination on their storm?  I dl the Appleberry theme today and have not installed the Weatherbug application since.  Trying to get a heads up on all issues before trying it.

    I have both and it seems to work very well. Going on two days. It does not show you the temp more so now you highlight the icon to show him that. Other then that, it seems to be ok.

    I am trying to install an update to an app from appworld and I continue to have the old version installed not a new one.

    How can I work around this. BTW, it's a paid app, and the people who got to crackberry have not all wrong.

    I tried to install the app from appworld on my phone app. and it would just reinstall the version on the app that was there. There was an update of the application if you searched FRO the app themselves as the current version, but when I downloaded and tried to install it, it would install the previous version. Hense the post.  In the meantime, I went to appworld on my pc and pulled up to the app and it showed the correct version ther so I dl by using the QR Code the phone installed the old version AGAIN!  It was after several reboots uninstall install ect.  Well the last time I returned to my world on appworld on the phone and here when I clicked on the application, it has shown that an update is available for the version that I had just dl less than 5 min prior. The phone have not installed the new version, he installed former and placed the new in the updated Guide. I ran the update and everything is working normally.

    I've been a beta tester of this app, so I knew how to work the thing. Also I was in corenspondence with the proponent during all of this also. Being that I had also paid for it didn't help my mood when he wasn't working.

    When you get a chance, do a battery pull.  When the red light goes on the front of the phone, hold down the back button all the time while the phone is in boot.  When initialization is complete, the phone goes into safe mode. You can then uninstall this application and do an another battery pull to see if that helps the issue.

    Remove your battery while your phone is off will do nothing to help.  You must ensure that your phone is always on when you remove your battery.

    You can get any bundle of BONES of any carrier via the official download portal:

    After installing it on your PC, if thats OS package by one carrier other than the carrier that your BB was built, then remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2007 and storm Sync?

    Previously, I had a Dell Pocket PC and used Microsoft's ActiveSync through an abridged version Outlook. I bought a storm through Verizon and tried to sync Outlook with the storm. I kept getting the window... "Run-time error. Value of the option is unacceptable. Please check the properties option. "I went through Setup with Verizon Tech Support. Which included the restart of the storm. They have abandoned and referred me to Blackberry.

    I have since removed the Outlook 2002 including all .pst files hidden that I could find. I installed Microsoft Office 2007 and started again. Same problem, same error!

    I don't think there is a problem with the BB Desktop Manager configuration. Between Verizon and I have, it seems, that attempted to apply the possibilities.

    I would be very grateful for any suggestions. I'm out of ideas.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones appeal newspaper and send messages just disappeared

    I try to help my boss with a BlackBerry problem.  She's got a Curve 8310.
