Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" Bluetooth NOT pairing with Handsfree Kit

    Hi all

    Well come back.

I went to the specialist of the car this afternoon, asking their guy 'tech' why "BOLD" bluetooth not working do not with my Audi A5.

I will not repeat what he said, it was not very complimentary on Blackberry / RIM garbage bluetooth technology.

I don't understand why RIM or anyone ever tested the product before embarking on the market.

With most financial customer to disappear more quickly the 'quantitative easing' maybe, Blackberry Blackberry / RIM could start watching after the "little people".

I only get about 150 aircraft for my business.

I need to be sure that these things work for the team on the road, make calls legally and safely.

I wonder if someone to Blackberry /RIM works at the weekend or surfing the net and maybe mind to see what customers say about their product?

If it were my company, she at least send an apology immediately and advise that they would air in it right away.

    Always cut.

    Andy

Fortunately, I've now solved the problem...

I've had an Iphone instead. Works superbly.

BlackBerry? More like a costly Raspberry. Time & money I lost!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones put Bluetooth in place

I have an 8700 and a Samsung WEP200 bluetooth.  I can not configure the bluetooth and now wonder if it's even compatible.  I followed every suggestion of troubleshooting.  It shows that the BB is activated but when I go into the Bluetooth Set Up, he asks if the Bluetooth device is in pairing mode.  When I say OK, it looks for devices and comes up with a message, 'no new devices found. Try again? "There's an easy solution, but even by IS support for the work could not go... Help!

Yes, this helmet must be compatible. Seems that the headset is not implemented properly pairing mode. If the headset is not in pairing mode BlackBerry cant find it.

  • My BlackBerry Bold 9900 questions blackBerry smartphones! Bluetooth, clock, battery, security

I just bought my BB Bold 9900 last Friday (January 6) and my provider is MTS. I have problems with my phone.

But first, let me say that I am a TIME BlackBerry user FIRST and I could do something wrong or I didn't have the correct settings. But I'd appreciate any help!

First, the battery life is much too short! After the initial charge (charged from one day to the next), the battery did not last me until noon the next day. I pay it full once I got home, and then I noticed that the battery life was longer now. I guess that it would improve after a little cooler. I think that the battery needed a kind of start-ups before it becomes fully functional. In any case, this problem seems to be resolved, for now.

Second, my phone has problems with the security lock code / password. I have install a locking password to prevent someone from simply to check the contents of my phone. It's OK at first, but after a while, the phone seems to be "forget" to ask for my password. I just press the lock/release button and I have access to my home page without entering the password. I kept checking security settings to see if the password is "on", it is. For me, it's a major security problem!

Thirdly, the zone time/clock settings seems to be incorrect. I'm from Winnipeg, MB, Canada and I use Central time, but the time that the phone is displaying is incorrect. Like the weather here in Winnipeg is 10:00, but in the phone, it's 04:00! Even if I fixed my phone and set up the time manually, the time that appears on my emails is always incorrect and inaccurate. And I couldn't find my clock anywhere icon. I looked in the applications folder, and it isn't here!

Finally (I hope this is the last problem with my phone), I have problems of bluetooth. I tried to send a picture from my Mac to my BB via bluetooth, and it worked fine. But when I tried to send a picture that I took the camera from my BB to my Mac, it wouldn't send! I checked the blutooth connection many times (Mac to BB, BB to Mac, they are fine) I have and found that the settings are correct and devices are discoverable and connected, so I don't really know what to do. This phone is really frustrating.

I have an urgent plan to unlock my phone for use on a different network, but I can't do it now because of these problems. I really want to have a Blackberry (before I bought and did not yet know the problems) I want a RELIABLE PHONE, rather than choosing an iPhone which for me is a TOY. But I am really disappointed with this phone. I begin to fear that this would be as reliable as I expected it would be, and he'd let me down just when I needed it most!

I'd appreciate it really all the help I could get and tips for the first time BB users. Thank you!

My phone works OK now. I guess I could remedy all by myself! What a relief.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Toshiba Bluetooth Stack with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.7

I have an 8830 and when I got it I was extremely frustrated more than not being able to do sync via Bluetooth.  Later, I found that Desktop Manager is not compatible with my Dell Bluetooth built-in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack.  I could uninstall the Toshiba Stack and change an INF file to install the battery Bluetooth of MS Windows and Office Manager now works fine.

The problem I have now is that I can't use my Bluetooth for the advanced features that supported the Toshiba stack; the most notable of the ability to pair with my Bluetooth headset for use with Skype.  Someone know if BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.7 is now compatible with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack or is it still not possible?  All the rumors of future compatibility?

    Mike

The answer is no, unfortunately - 4.7 still requires to use the microsoft bluetooth stack. However, there is hope that battery bluetooth 7 windows is supposed to come with audio support and it is of course directed by microsoft. I would imagine that when it is released you will be able to use the Desktop Manager and your headset with the new battery bluetooth microsoft.

  • Indicator of edge battery blackBerry Smartphones and Bluetooth problems

The Priv is about 5 days old and has new updates are installed en all apps. The carrier is Rogers

When I first turned it on the edge of the battery indicator came and it showed the power level and the percentage of the charge. Who has stopped working and then the "light strip" edge now works after a reboot from last night.

The edge lights and stays on for about 5 seconds and then turns off then that plugged. There was an indicator that identified the percentage of charge and I think that the time to full charge. These details will no longer appear.

Just rebooted it and then reconnected it and edge came to light on, stayed on about 5 seconds, then * beep * down. indicator % etc. came not

Indicative on-board battery is turned on and ambient display is on

Last night when he was in charge and I held it in my hand the edge of the battery light up and then turns off. If the Palm of my hand touched the lower right edge lighting turns off and then it shuts down when I moved my hand. When I placed my hand there once again he started. Connection loose?

Bluetooth. When calls come sometimes in bluetooth works. If I turn my helmet a couple of times it works. Shouting works, but the call is maybe 25%.

The listener a Plantronics traveler edge worked flawlessly with my old Q10 if this is not the headset.

    Hello

The battery charge indicator will disappear if the phone is in a dark place. If you turn on the light in the room or even shine a flashlight on the sensor just below the listener, you will see the battery charge indicator again. It has nothing to do with you keeping the device or not.

It was reported on misconduct... weather Bluetooth that connects to the listener or the car. A software update its in the works earlier this month (June). I can't tell if that delivers its treaties or not since I am not fully aware at the moment, what this update will correct or improve.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8350i 'profile' located on normal, but performing on vibrate/ring

Ok. I have read several posts regarding the definition of the profile in a certain framework (Loud, Normal or another), but my problem is that I know exactly how do it, but I have mine set on one thing and it does something else (the value to 'normal' and reacts as vibrate/ring). This is my first BB and the first smartphone in general, but I'm at least tech savvy and have put things as it should. Ask yourself if this is a bug or there at - it another setting that should be done as well? If there is, which does not make any sense to me.

Any response is greatly appreciated. I'm your humble thanks now and significantly.

    Thank you!

After looking again, I found a solution. I guess there are some "tweaking" as neds to do now. I put a user profile now. There is no mention of this in my little book on disabling don't vibrate completely. I'll improve and we hope get straightened results. I can I have posted this in haste before that I searched deep soul. Sorry for the preventive post, but thanks for all the information USEFUL here!

  • Eve of blackBerry Smartphones and Bluetooth

If bluetooth is turned on there still a drain on the battery when the phone is in > standby mode<>

    RKL

Bluetooth always uses the same battery in standby mode. The standby mode is to save power on the phone, but it does not interfere with the use of the phone. Bluetooth works as should be in standby mode and use the battery. If you want to know how much difference this test yourself. Charge the phone completely, using bluetooth as you would normally, see how long it lasts before you must charge the phone again. Then try to use the phone with the bluetooth off when you don't need and see how long it lasts. Each battery is slightly different and predict how long it will be changed is impossible since there are too many variables to account. It might be how long you talk on the phone, how much internet browsing do you, how many emails your reception, being in a poor neighborhood of signal drains the battery more, etc. Just know you turn on any additional functionality in the phone will probably use the battery, but you must understand how because it depends on your use and the function itself.

    Hope that helps

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8350i voicemail?

Hi, I got this phone about a week and the voicemail was working fine but now its not picking up and if I call myself to get there, I just get a busy signal. I just wanted to see if there was a quick fix for this. I did a lot of research but nothing seems to fix. Thank you!

Had the same problem... Due to my incessant tinkering, I did a clean reinstall of the operating system!  In doing so, I had erased several vital!

After half an hour with Sprint Nextel Blackberry Dep. (direct line).  1-866-275-1072

The Rep and I reduced to the section: Greenkey Call Forwarding-> call-> Menu key log-> Options-> Call Forwarding

"Forward unanswered calls" has been selected and everything has been set to "do not forward".

Initially the representative had entered me a my own phone number in the "if busy, if no response and so not accessible."

To change these: highlight the key "do not forward" Menu--> new number after you enter it once you can just put "do not convey the" select and select the number for the remaining items in the list.

That failed, so he gave me another number to get in there, which I suppose is a voicemail number located, tried the voice box and FINALLY the voice mail came through! The rep had reset my voicemail by this point, so my password was the seven-digit phone number.

You can store directly in the voicemail number by Greenkey-> call-> Menu key log-> Options-> voice mail "Password."

Hope this helps someone who unintentionally erases the number stored in the call forwarding!

  • 9320 constant restart blackBerry smartphones after trying to activate the Bluetooth

My BB Curve 9320 is constant restarting.

I got the phone about 9 months.  I went to activate Bluetooth for the first time today.  As soon as I opened the menu bar and "verified" bluetooth, the phone turns off.  It began to restart... He went through the entire cycle of loading and reach the screen normal, but after 3 seconds stops and restarts again.  Permanently.

    I have:

-taking the battery (several times): continues

-a followed the advice to start in safe mode, it will start in safe mode, but stops after 3 seconds and restarts

-connected to the laptop via USB, but the computer will not come to get the camera to access

I actually got on the screen and in the second 3 window was able to click on the set of networks to see that Bluetooth is more "verified"-any, yet what have the 3 seconds before the reboot cycle.

    Advice?  Suggestions?
