BlackBerry Smartphones BBM "BOLD" - pin problem

I have a problem with the addition of pin contacts in my bbm. The pins are not pending or anything, it's just when I try to add by typing or copy/paste the PIN that it dosent add the contact. Instead, it appears a small menu saying dough/full menu. Even when I go in the menu it still dosent variefy anything on the PIN is added successfully. I can't add anyone, regardless of how many times I try. What should I do?

I had the same problem, and I solved it by doing a reboot to cold (drums). Turn off (full) remove the battery, wait a minute, replace the battery, starts. This problem occurred after I installed MSN, Google Talk and Yahoo messenger which is supplied with the phone. I was using MSN at the time where that has happened - I tried to copy and paste a PIN someone gave me on MSN.  I had not even used Google Talk or Yahoo messenger for the first time again.

I hope this helps!

Colin

P.S. When I 'Power Down' or 'Full Power Down', it seems to do the same thing, lock the key and the emptiness of the screen until the power button ispressed, who does to wake up. This isn't a true power down. How power really works down a "BOLD" BB?

What could be the reason of such behaviour of BDM / PC?

Hello and welcome to the community!

If the software was installed by Admin, but not properly shared to all users and then if the update was made of different way, which could have confused the rights within Windows, causing this strange behavior.

    I suggest this thread:

It begins with a process to start properly and there is an exchange of views, and there is also a post (15) with links to earlier versions of the Software Desktop, if those who are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have. You can make while logged as an administrator, as well as using "Run as Admin" for everything you can. You can also consider installing while signed in as a user, if it is only that the user who will use it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is this a problem with my Bold 9700 flash memory?

A few annoying problems recently with my Bold 9700.

First, my Blackberry has suddenly started to massively delete recent appointments in my calendar, which will attempt to remove them from my Outlook calendar when I synchronize the device to my laptop.  This has not happened before, and I checked to make sure that the schedule is set to never delete nominations, and it is set correctly.

Second, my Blackberry App World application (both on the device and online) does not display one of my installed applications, except one, but they are all still on the device and working properly.  I'm 18 apps installed from BB App World, beyond the pre-installed applications on the device, which are less than 10 MB in total size.

The reason I think that the problem could be linked to the internal flash memory is that whenever I want to install an application, I usually get a message indicating there is enough memory and I have to uninstall some other applications to free up space.  When I checked my memory earlier, he said that had less than 1 MB.  I restarted the machine and now it tells me there is 12.2 MB of available space, which always seems incredibly low for me since I installed only about 10 MB of my own applications.  So, I delete the file all attachments of the device and do not keep e-mail on the device beyond 30 days, and all media is stored on flash cards, not in the device memory.

The most important question I have to solve is how to prevent the device to delete data from calendar (it keeps recurring appointments, but has been deleted and everything before about two weeks ago).

    Hello

It's an automatic protection mechanism with BBs. During the AppMemory (not the device, no media memory card memory) get low, the BB must start deleting things to preserve its ability to operate. Unfortunately, he really can't go after data... it can't really go after installed applications. Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
      • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB10183 E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device until the messages expire

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, AppMemory is not just for the apps... the real BB operating system is here as well. Depending on the options you have included, which might be things bloating as well.

    Good luck!

    Hello!

With a network carrier signal strong, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

I bought my BB Bold 9900 10 months and I never had problems charging my battery. But the other day, when I got home and charged, when I woke up, Led - the RED light flashes and custom light up. I searched online and I tried the "kickstart" they say where I have to charge my phone for 2 hrs and remove the battery for 10 minutes and put the battery back and wait another 2 hours - still not good . • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM disappeared after the 7.0.1 update

I've updated BBM from version 7 to 7.0.1. After the reboot, I found that my BBM was gone. I checked my world in Blackberry World, to see that it is installed, but it was gone. So I had all my BBM Messages messages. Make a restore from a previous backup has not resolved the problem, 7.0.1 remained. I had to reinstall version 6 to BBM. Version 6 installation means that I've lost the BB voice that came with v7. Nobody knows where and how can I get the previous version 7.0.1. IE version 7?

My 9360 was purchased from the store of blackberry, it was never closed. Just, I moved from Canada to New Zealand for a few months and have a plan here, with BIS, Vodafone. I can send and receive messages, bbm without any problem but since I'm here every invitation that I received when I click on accept it just says: pending (awaiting authorization), when I try to add the query is never received by them. All the requests I received are of ios or android users, however, I watched other people accept their application without any problem. I removed bbm and reinstalled but no progress. It's my main communication at home and it's upsetting not being able to talk to some of these people.
