BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry is going to do 'Hubdates '? ;)

Does anyone know if Blackberry will roll on the hub updates in the future? My favorite feature is the dash to display only unread messages. Wonder if they'll ever more to the private port. I think that if they could somehow implements SMS features directly in the hub, people lose their spirit.

Even if they do not provide these features, the hub is always impressive and I am so happy to have it.

I agree "pinch" features are large in BlackBerry10, and I hope that it will be implemented as well as in the Android platform.

BlackBerry has made no announcements of these updates, but I can only hope updates will come, if BlackBerry is listening.

    Hello

Yes its possible to reset without entering the Menu Options on your phone:

    1. you must have BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. connect the phone with open Desktop Manager.

    3. go to the Applications tab

4 locate the rogue app/theme, kill it and your phone should come back with the default theme.

    5. If you can not find via Desktop Manager then try to do a full backup.

6 restore the phone to factory settings, restore data selectively.

Hope this works for you, if it's not then you need to use BBSAK to wipe the phone or try to remove the new theme.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "back" button goes to menu (990 "BOLD", BBOS7, Rogers)

Recently "back" button of my Bold 9900 started this menu to toggle the applications instead of just close the open menu or return to the previous application. Is it possible to make it work as before? Checked the options, it's not anywhere I can see.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones music player goes into mute after every song?

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me with a problem I have with my Storm 9530. Whenever I listen to music on it (which is most of the time), unless I'm actually in the form of playing under the application of the music, the sound cut when switching to another song. It is not only stop or pause playback; It actually cuts the song, so if I don't notice it happened for a few minutes, half of the song will be played and the sound does not return unless I increase the volume. Someone at - he heard of that happening before? I know it's a relatively minor issue, but it is rather annoying. She also can't when I'm listening via speaker - I have the problem if you are using the handset speaker or headphones.

It didn't happen straight out of the box, either - it just started happening a few weeks after I loaded my music on it. I ran diagnostics/security analysis on my computer and on the media card, and both are free of malicious software or corrupted files. I called Verizon Wireless and their technicians could not offer anything that either short-term to Exchange my Storm for a new - I did, but, now, a few weeks after I had a new, I started having the same problem, so I think there must be a setting that I've accidentally changed - but I went through all the options and I can't find something that seems like it would be applicable.

I really appreciate any insight or help someone of you can give. Thank you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB LINK and MIXTURE of BB for PRIV

BlackBerry is going to bring in the 'link' or 'Blend' for the PRIV utilities? Essential major utilities to sync and interface with your PC. It would be a bit unfortunate if they do not, and many people will lose faith in the brand. He should have summer offer already, because this phone has been to appeal to business people who need to synchronize their e-mail, outlook, contacts, and calendar.

    Hi @abullen, @pplaut & @kastritis00

Link blackBerry and mixture do not support the PRIVATE, so I've captured your request and shared internally.

Since this is the current state, I have marked my answer as the solution in case others have a similar question.

  • Sync of Smartphones blackBerry to 2013 Outlook not supported

    It's frustrating.

Recently had to upgrade to 2013 Outlook with Exchange Server and now can't sync my Bold 9900 with Desktop software. I managed to get e-mail through IMAP, but these are not binding although the link of my previous OWA (no status of reading or items removed and need to add a rule to forward messages sent from the device to my Outlook 2013)

I understand that Blackberry does not yet support Outlook 2013. It's been a while since Outlook 2013 was released in beta version and then RTM and no news at all on the issue of Blackberry.

Has anyone heard if Blackberry is going to do something about that soon?

Frankly, I can't get to consider switching to something that will connect - Apple devices and Android seems to work. I always heard about problems with synchronization on BB10 devices that may have been recently solved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones using BB abroad

Can someone help me out here, I don't think that on the Blackberry site.

If someone with a blackberry is going abroad and only connects via Blackberry and is located on a network that uses Blackberry bis or bes, it's free. I talked to a few advisers to my network. (Which is not trained BB) said he thought that it would be normal data charges, and the other (which is formed) said he is aware that he would be free, because the user would use the BB server. It is for internet and Messenger of BB.

If possible can reply you as soon as possible because they are going abroad tomorrow.

    Hello

When you use a Blackberry, the data is sent through the BIS system (= mobile network). If you are on BIS, he will reach the BIS and information, and if you're on BES there is a link between the carrier and the BES of your company.

If you're on roaming, the BIS system connection costs the price of roaming (meaning: a lot). The rest of the connection is free.

--> check to see what your subscription. I am on BES, I have unlimited data use including roaming so that it costs nothing. But your mileage may vary.

what I say is true for everything except: phone calls & SMS (because they go through the voice network and not the data network).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones double contact sent!

I followed the instructions provided by a Member here (I tried clicking Bravo, but it doesn't seem to work here are the instructions...)

    -Synchronize the device with Outlook

2 remove duplicates in Outlook (is easier than in unit)

    3. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    4. open Backup/Restore > advanced.
    5. in Advanced, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.
6 - Highlight on the right side your address book database and click on the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

7 - once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to clear and clean all the address book database.
    8. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup, you have created, say Yes and check the device to ensure that the address book was properly empty. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

However - after having done that, I got all my contacts. Then I unplugged my computer to my camera and went out. Well, I went to look for a number and it was not "here. An hour later, he WAS there. Then the bb seems to be something about treatment and all of a sudden I'm in every sense duplicate entries.  It's almost as if it maintains the synchronization time and again. Help, please!

Hello. That's what I've done before, but I tried again. I just compensation on the contacts of my camera, my outlook contacts are in order (not dupes) and I synced it on my device. Everything seems good. This time I disabled syncing Organizer data checkbox in the Desktop Manager when I did.

Now I have to wait a few hours and see if my blackberry starts going crazy again and download of contacts. Hope not!

I noticed also just that Google sync they put on my BB to the store has been set to automatically synchronize the contacts! I wonder if that's what he did. I unchecked the option! Hope that.

  • Smartphones blackBerry synchronization of Emails

    Hello

I'm having problems receiving emails from work on my Storm2!

We have a microsoft exchange without BES server and I wanted to know if there is anyway to sync my phone wireless with mail/contacts/calendar/tasks etc. - its seems to be what making known, but very slowly, my device is the display of read and unread emails, but this isn't what is on my work PC!

BlackBerry offers an app for that?

To receive emails on a Blackberry need it a BES?

I thought owning a Blackberry was going to revolutionize my experience of e-mailing, could simply go back to the iPhone!

Since you are not sure, I do notice:

    • You come to offend those in a support forum for users of BlackBerry with your threats of iPhone community.
    • Then, without pause, you criticise these comments as "not constructive and it does not help anyone.
    • Oh, can pretend you that you know what I mean... lol.

So, learn to play well with others and act like a big boy now and let's all agree well in the sandbox sand.

You can't do what you are wanting to do it via WiFi. It's just not possible. I'm sorry. There is no 'midlet' for this purpose.

    Your options are, roughly:

    (1) synchronize your contacts, calendar, notes and tasks via USB > Desktop Manager > Outlook. Your mail will be pushed via a BIS account. It syncs, but rather to "reconcile" for your mail server.

To synchronize contacts, calendar, notes and tasks and balance/ELECTRONIC MESSAGES on your device:

    (2) get an account BES, Exchange shared hosting server to something like hassles for the BES server.

    (3) to host your own blown full BES server, Exchange and get a BES of your carrier account.

    (4) try the new BESX when available. See the RIM site for more details.

I might be missing one option.

  • BlackBerry smartphones received Timestamp error in the SMS Conversations

Hello. I recently moved to Michigan from California and the parameters of time on my blackberry automatically goes to the Eastern (-5) time. However, whenever I receive an SMS (no), the timestamp for the SMS received into the conversation is 3 hours earlier than the actual time / unit. It is a problem within the conversation; When I return to the main folder of Messages or SMS, the timestamp of the last message received/sent next to the contact's name is correct. Is it possible to fix this outside to do a thorough cleaning? I tried restarting and manually changing the date and time; did not help.

Timestamp is generally assigned when the SMS through your door VLR (visitor location register) on the way to the tower to which you are connected. So, in this case, you can connect to the bad VLR and your provider would have to reset. If you did a battery pull and it did not help. I recommend to call your operator and ask them to re-enter their network. That you attach to the router/VLR closest
