    Let me share my personal experience on the subject.     The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

    I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

    I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

    The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

    The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Mass Storage Mode Support - on

    Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

    I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

    I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

    I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

    I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

    I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

    I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

    I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

    I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

    Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

    You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

    An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

    If the connectors folder is always present in C\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector, follow these steps:

    Unregister the old ilxolkCompanion.fil of Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. open the prompt (run-> cmd.exe).
    2. navigate to C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    3 type the command regsvr32 u ilxolkCompanion.fil.
    4. in the Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook is no longer appears as an available desktop application.
    Save the latest Microsoft Outlook Connector.

    I would like to try to delete the intellisync folder and then try to synchronize again. This may or may not help. Here are the instructions:

    1. Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
    2. Disconnect the BlackBerry to the computer device.
    3. Double click on my computer > Local drive (C drive > Documents and Settings > (username) > Application Data > Research In Motion > Blackberry > Intellisync)
      • Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools > Folder Options in the upper part of the screen.
      • Click the view tab, and then click Show hidden files and folders.
      • Click apply > Ok and continue with the remaining steps.
    4. All remove in the Intellisync folder.
    5. Start synchronization BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the attempt of the device with the computer.

    Google has just turned off sync to google calendar for blackberry. So I did a gmail account so I can use "BIS calendar wireless sync" on gmail. However whenever I go into the configuration of email on my bb, it just times out. I click the icon and get about a second or 2 ticking clock and then nothing. This happened before when I set up my email addresses (and has been fixed by using the email my carrier's bis email account configuration, Telstra in Australia). It's just a question now, like gmail, calendar synchronization requires that I have post my bb email address in order to get the calendar wireless sync. have done a lot of battery grips. Since hours today on the phone with my ISP and have flashed the phone. have downgraded to version 6, 905 and a full wipe info. This did not help. I guess the problem is with the carrier, but they tried to 'everything' for this problem, as it has (as I said) is a problem in the past. and still the same thing. I downloaded the service books and then deleted and then downloaded them once again, having re-entered on the network a lot of times, the provider has reset my account, multiplied by neumerous. I tried to go to mobile.blackberry.com and this not validate my email "on the phone" and get my calendar to work. I would upgrade the 9900 things but 2, there are a lot of people complaining about reception problems and there's os 10 just around the corner. I looked online and not found a serious answer to fix my agenda. looking for a work around or correct for my google calendar work?

    I saw that some ppl posted the same thing. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but that's what I did.

    do not think that this part of the question, but I'll put it and others can comment on. After downloading the last Director of office of telstra (my carrier) because the previous soft ware has been downloaded from the website of vodafone.

    then I went to the list of applications on the Office Manager and found that there are 2 "Messaging Installer" programs, they have different versions. I have deleted 1 and nothing has changed.     While there is no limit on how many contacts you can have on your device, there is a soft limit that you can have as many times as the memory of your device can handle. Check the available memory to see if you have any remaining space. If this isn't the case, then consider cleaning out / uninstallation of some things that you don't need to increase the memory available to more contacts.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not send new text of the messages folder

    I have a Bold 9650.  I have, unfortunately, updated for the new OS and now I am unable to send texts from the news of my Messages folder.  I can send an email and response to text, but when I open the menu and click on 'Another new message' there is nothing there.  It's a dead link.  I have to go in my contacts folder, compose and send text, then close to everything in my Contacts folder.  Is this a bug or something put in place bad?

    OS 6 is a solid operating system with many advantages over the OS 5.  If you have recently upgraded to it, your phone can not be used to it and she can act a little.  This is normal and with a few tweaks here and there, we can get it just how you want.

    A battery pull will probably solve this problem.  Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.  Return to your Messages folder and see if the option appears.

    Got my curve for centuries and added a contact a day or there is.  Updated some applications of the BB world (do not know if there is a connection) and tried to add a new contact, but this error message: Eception exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (216) does not. process is completed (by the way were two updates to Twitter and Messenger of BB)

    This morning, I remember always be able to access my mediafolder in the Media folder, but now I can't find the icon of music anywhere, and when I say everywhere I mean like every folder on my phone. I always try to get a shot of my software upgrade [6.0 Bundle 2342]. I can always look for 'music' and the icon music is magically on search and I can play my music, but I can't find the icon anywhere else on top of that... What should I do?

    My company recently moved hosting of emails to a new dedicated server (with Lunarpages - www.lunarpages.com).

    We have normal, ordinary POP3 e-mail accounts that is accessible through any regular desktop mail client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.)

    I put one of these accounts successfully on my Torch 9800 last week and had no problem. Yesterday I deleted this account in order to demonstrate to a co-worker, how to add a new account, and I could not add a new account by using the same parameters since.

    This isn't a problem of carrier or to a particular device (tried on several media and several BB devices, all without success), but it's a specific problem Blackberry. It is limited to my dedicated server as well, not all servers hosted by Lunarpages.

    I know I put the correct settings in the account name, e-mail server, etc, because this worked on my flashlight and the same settings continue to work correctly with other phones and email clients.

    I suspect that there is some kind of disagreement between my server and BIS. Can anyone suggest what the problem could be here still, or even who I should talk to? My service provider is unable to help because it is not specific to them and my Lunarpages server provider is completely baffled. Please, any suggestions are welcome!
