BlackBerry Smartphones Can unlock you youre BELL mobility phone to be used on any network?

I contacted bell mobility asked my unlock code unlock Blackberry tour 9630. They gave it to me but I'm still not able to unlock the phone and im only at 5 other tests how do I unlock my phone can someone help me?

Interesting... they gave you two somewhat contradictory answers...

(1) it cannot be unlocked, because it's on a network CDMA (no exact, btw)

(2) they will not unlock it because they want to keep it on their network (a policy rather than a technology issue)

In both cases, I wonder why on earth would they bother to give you the code?

So, you have challenged their evolution on this contradiction? BTW - if they stick by number 2, then your "free" unlock option does not exist and you have to pay to do.

The seller or you need to call TMo and ask that the PIN will come out of the old account.

It is a common problem when users abandon an account leave the PIN on this network.

While you have unlocked it correctly, the PIN is always related to the old account.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not send messages or make phone calls

My BB torch worked fine earlier, but there is an hour, it just stopped.  He has connections and bars, until in the Connections window bit. I tried it turn on and off as well as to take out the battery after it's off to reset.  I tried to remove all of my old conversations in the phone as well. I can still connect to the internet on this topic very well.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  • Locking of the blackBerry Smartphone screen/keyboard keeps activating while the phone is in use.

I have a Blackberry 9810 "BOLD" and the screen/keyboard lock feature is always activate itself, even when I'm in the middle to send him a text or using the phone. Yesterday, it happened while I was talking on the phone and he cut the call. I can't find an option on my phone to activate switch. How can I solve this problem, because it's practically what makes my phone useless.

    Hello

Well, first of all... No... no 'BB support' can answer you here. This is because, when they gave to you when you register on this site, this site has nothing to do with any formal support any. On the contrary, it is a community of users where volunteers try to troubleshoot other kind souls to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, no response would mean that anyone who took the time to read your post has something useful to you.

From what you describe, I would infer that there is a wrong application behave which interferes with the function of locking, or maybe your operating system is somehow corrupted, or maybe a combination of the two. What I recommend is the following:

    1. Reload your own OS and as "skeleton" as possible (for example, whatever it is optional, let power off)
    2. If the problem immediately presented, then repeat step 1, but with an OS different package... maybe there's a bug in the specific operating system you run.
    3. If the problem does not immediately, then run for maybe a week-long enough to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. If the behavior does not after a week, add just one thing (just one... no matter how tempting it is to add more!)
    5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the behavior is, how well do you know the culprit
    6. If the behavior does not, then you know that reloading the OS or switch to another operating system package was the cure.

If none of this he healed, then you will have a physical hardware problem for which assessment in the hand by a qualified material is of course necessary. If you are under warranty, you seeking your warranty provider - normally your place of origin of the purchase, your provider of mobile service or one authorized service center (it varies by location, but you should have received the documentation at the front that tells you exactly how to use your warranty).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to the Mobile network

Hi there, I really hope that someone can help me with this frustrating problem. I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8530 I bought on eBay. I have not had any problems to get the phone activated and it worked like a champ. A few days earlier, the battery got very low and my connections disabled. I charged the phone and now it won't let me connect to the mobile network! When I select the option it tries to connect and a red 'X' appears and it does not connect. However, it WILL connect to WiFi. WTF.

    Hello!

    (1) dial * 228 and select Option 1. To make again, and select Option 2.

    (2) registry HRT

    (3) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (4) batt Pull Reboot

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can load you a BlackBerry smart phone via a USB cable connected to a laptop.

I was invited this by a user. I think that a laptop USB charging won't work because the laptop will not be able to provide a sufficient charge to the BB device (clear the message of the screen when you try). Is there a way you can do this or does it just cannot be done. I'm fairly certain that this is the case, but as I don't know 100%, I would be grateful if someone could clarify.

    Thank you very much.

In fact I didn't realize drop-down driver drivers provided foreign language only.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not put in place a personal e-mail account. I have only option to activate a company account

Hello.  I've worked for a company and access enterprise server needed to receive e-mails from company on my Curve 9330.  When I need is more capability, I called my provider, Sprint and cancelled my plan Enterprise Server and was able to set up a personal email account.  I need to recharge the phone to the default values and now when I go in the installation program to configure a personal e-mail account I only get the option.  When I select the email icon I automatically join in a sign 'no active account' and wonder of my enterprice account activity by providing an email and a password.  I don't have these and my personal e-mail id and password do not work.  I looked through the forums and follow the suggestion which has not solved the problem.  I also called Sprint and confirmed I have more company on my account/plan, in addition to checking with my local cable/internet provider that they do not cause the issue.  I rebooted the device 3 times today and have not made any progress.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not download Blackberry app world

I tried to update the BlackBerry because I could not download applications, when I open it. He sends me to update the bb app world.

However, I get this msg: Sorry, your session has expired. Please close all browser windows and then return to the home page.

Surely my BB is supported by the App World. and my current plan in Nigeria supports the wrld app. How can I solve this?

    Hi agtsih

If you encounter problems with the BlackBerry world update then try this way:

On your home screen to Options > device > application > locate and remove Blackberry World of this list.

KB10040  : How to display or remove installed application on a blackberry smartphone

Once you have removed perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered on wait a minimum then reinsert back.

Finally, use your BlackBerry browser and navigate to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and download the most recent version available.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I edit my Contact list of my PC?

When I connect my BB 9800 to my laptop I don't see the list of contacts on my BB using Windows Explorer.  I would like to be able to do this because my Contact list only contains phone numbers (a report of my previous cell phone) and I want to add email addresses.  I have a lot of entries to change and it would be difficult with the keys of BB.

If I can't do it while only connected to my BB is there a way I can do a "Contact list" on my PC and then export it to my BB?  Thank you, Peter

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A few things to discuss... so bear with me...

    (1) contrary to others how things, RIM does not provide desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (2) RIM provides a device switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB... but only for compatible devices. See this KB:

    • KB05459 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone

    (3) If your old phone is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM more offers the possibility to import ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:

    • KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file
KB11194 How to import contacts from a CSV file to the BlackBerry
    • Sorry, but RIM does no research on how to get your data from your old device and in ASCII format or CSV... it is a function of your old device.

So your choice is, IMO, to continue to use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO)... then choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:

    • KB17022 How to configure applications to Organizer for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can use any Pearl 8100 phone with any service provider?

I lost my phone and had an AT & T service. I don't want to buy a new phone, check if what is for sale on Craigslist. Not all beads for sale are for AT & T, but the 8100 Series is supposed to be for the most part, suppliers... is that correct?

If you get the unlocked device it should work on any GSM carrier. Not all MOBILE carriers now offer BlackBerry data services, but you should at least be able to use it for calls and text messages.
