Locking of the blackBerry Smartphone screen/keyboard keeps activating while the phone is in use.

I have a Blackberry 9810 "BOLD" and the screen/keyboard lock feature is always activate itself, even when I'm in the middle to send him a text or using the phone. Yesterday, it happened while I was talking on the phone and he cut the call. I can't find an option on my phone to activate switch. How can I solve this problem, because it's practically what makes my phone useless.

Well, first of all... No... no 'BB support' can answer you here. This is because, when they gave to you when you register on this site, this site has nothing to do with any formal support any. From what you describe, I would infer that there is a wrong application behave which interferes with the function of locking, or maybe your operating system is somehow corrupted, or maybe a combination of the two. What I recommend is the following:

  1. Reload your own OS and as "skeleton" as possible (for example, whatever it is optional, let power off)
  2. If the problem immediately presented, then repeat step 1, but with an OS different package... maybe there's a bug in the specific operating system you run.
  3. If the problem does not immediately, then run for maybe a week-long enough to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
  4. If the behavior does not after a week, add just one thing (just one... no matter how tempting it is to add more!)
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the behavior is, how well do you know the culprit
  6. If the behavior does not, then you know that reloading the OS or switch to another operating system package was the cure.

If none of this he healed, then you will have a physical hardware problem for which assessment in the hand by a qualified material is of course necessary. If you are under warranty, you seeking your warranty provider - normally your place of origin of the purchase, your provider of mobile service or one authorized service center (it varies by location, but you should have received the documentation at the front that tells you exactly how to use your warranty).

If it is not, then I would say that your FaceTime does not complete the activation process. If you go to settings > FaceTime, you see something awaiting activation or waiting for activation under the switch to turn it on?

I tried all the advice forums, youtube videos and even troubleshooting I contacted Microsoft (running windows 7 64-bit), server connection module installed and works perfectly still having the same problem.

    I hope that blackberry had a clear answer to these questions and have someone in the customer service who can solve the problem instead referring users to the forum!

    Anyone who had experienced the same problem and found a solution, please respond. your help would be much appreciated.

    The GPU is integrated into the cpu, so the phone would not ring or the touchpad does not work. It is possible that the phone fell or anything that could cause the connections on the motherboard to disconnect, I gave up my 9930 and causes the connector unplugs.     With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    I just got my BB Storm yesterday and maybe return.  I found that some software does not work on it because she needs another way to scroll and I can't use it without a trackball.     I have a Verizon 8830.  I have the side switch programmed to lock the device.  In the past, when I blocked the device, the screen would turn off after 2 seconds, which would save battery.  Now, when I lock it, the display turns off after two seconds but then it turns back on.

    I can get it to decrease intensity with backlight settings, but I can't have to go completely dark.  As far as I know, I have not changed any settings.

    Any ideas?

    It fixed the old-fashioned way... I did a hard reset.  It works again.

    No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

    I recently had a pressure of crack in the LCD screen on my Curve 8310.

    I need to access my passwords stored in password keeper, however given that the LCD is toast, impossible to read anything on the phone.

    I'm waiting on a replacement LCD screen, but need to pass, as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Are there programs to display the program on the pc?

    I tried a solution that actuall work, so I thought I'd post in case anyone else has this same problem.

    I had previously saved data for my Blackberry Curve 8310 using the office management software.

    I downloaded a Simulatr for my Curve 8310 and installed the software.  I found the Simulator to the BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL

    Once the program was installed, I ran the program, which shows a picture of the phone.

    I started my office management software.

    Now to back in the Smartphone Simulator

    In the menu, I selected 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.

    Once I did this, the office management software prompted me to create settings then phone again.

    Once I implemented this new virtual phone, I restored my backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.

    I could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program.  It prompted me for my password and all data appeared.

    If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

    Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

    My boyfriend and I both have the blackberry bold 9700, but today, it has encountered a problem.

    He had his phone in his pocket, while we were in the middle of texting he locked his phone using the locking password and then when he went to read the message I sent him it would not unblock him his phone.

    He has never even changed the password or all parameters - don't really know how. I put his phone for him etc.

    He's on his attempt to 9/10 the password, tried to use the ALT key and what other advisde forums, but this has not helped the situation.

    Is there something else?

    It's pathetic if he will lose his contacts, as he never changed the password. (and no backup at all).

    All contacts are saved in the sim card if they stay? Help, please!

    While that unfortunate, it seems that you have already read and tried all possible combinations to get the password entered correctly. Only the configured password will work... There is no 'master' password or 'backdoor' to unlock BB. With only an attempt on the left, there is virtually no hope of success. One thing that might have tried was to attach to a PC... If you know how to enter the password correctly on the PC keyboard, which would have reset the counter... but, once again, with one shot left...

    Since you say that there is no backup, then all personal information, including contacts, will be conscientiously deleted. According to me, which will also include those on the SIM card.
