BlackBerry Smartphones Cant see BBM profle pics

Hey. It seems that allot of BBM users cannot view profile photos. Add a new friend on my BB her whenever I can't see their photo and they can't see mine. RIM is aware of this and will be fixed soon?

OK, understood, I see others asking the same thing now and then.

You can always delete BBM on your device, restart and install again. I saw others a few months back States that had photos contact synchronization for them...

    Hello

    Are what network you satisfied?

5.0 is already out for the 8900 on your network?

Check with the supplier of the apps to see if applications are compatible 5.0. Not that many networks have out of this OS yet.

  • Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

    Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

    Hi MaeKan

On BlackBerry 7 devices, BlackBerry ID is deeply integrated into our device, this is the main key for many applications on your devices. On your device Homescreen go to Options > device > BlackBerry ID > press the Menu key > click on Check for Updates if updates are available, if it will download on your device.

Like you have several problem with your device, please try these steps in a sequence:

1 - Save your pocket computer.

    • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

2 remove and return your Service book

    • KB05000 : Remove the maintenance book for the e-mail account to BlackBerry Internet Service from the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 : Send service for the BlackBerry Internet Service directories
    • (Wait an Enrollment Message arrives in your Inbox for each email that you have configured on your device)

    3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

Once you did try BBM to see if it allows access. Or perhaps reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application using the same method as mention earlier.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones only restore BBM contacts - how?

    Hello

How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

No, you're not... the latest version is 6.1.0 Bundle 34...

See this KB for a list of all databases on the BB:

    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.

  • [Curve 9360] blackBerry smartphones can receive BBM but cannot send...

Hello, I just signed up today. I have the Curve 9360 Apollo, I can't send BBM in the last 3 days, it only shows check without "D" or "R" and obviously my friend will not be the message.

    Here's the situation:

-BBM Contact Status Update (recent updates) seems normal, I can see the updates.

-I can receive all BBM sent me, PIN request work well this way.

    -I can browse the Internet

    -Push email working fine

    -No problem with Blackberry ID

-J' have plenty of BIS data plan service provider, I think that's not service provider problem, because I can navigate, push email, updates work.

The only thing that does not is that I can not send any BBM BBM contact.

    I tried to do this:

    -Pulling and reinsert the battery

-reload OS, currently using BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.1647 (all languages)

-Remove the maintenance book to remove entry

    -the reinstatement of host Routing Table, it is my host routing information;

-Reset the device and use a different blackberry ID, but not luck

My my device is connected to a server that is currently had problem BBM. I have another device, Bold 9790, with even the network carriers, normal work. Differences is given in the IP/Port host routing information. My "BOLD" has (or connected to (?)) IP/Port 206.51.26.192:18815:18810 in the meantime my abnormal Curve 9360 has IP as shown on the screenshot above.

Then, someone at - there have any idea?

OK, finally I managed to make it work.
Today I decided to use the SIM card from another provider of services, AXIS Indonesia in my case, after changing, I get gateway IP diferent and normal BBM work, then I go to previous service provider (IND - XL) and ask them to change my smart SIM card and bam! I got new gateway IP pretty much the same thing as the gateway ip of my bold work 9790. Here my new host routing information:

Hope this will help someone with the same problem as mine. Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unknown costs/BBM

    Hello.

I noticed that credit is being taken out of my account but I don't really know why.

I thought it was the BBM, but I was under the impression that the messages sent through BBM surveys, around the world, were free...

Me and my friend abroad, have a BB 8520. I'm in the United Kingdom, my friend in the Netherlands.

I'm checking my history of usage, I'm on Orange PAYG and I see five pages of pretty much the same thing. There are a ton of em - this is simply copied and is just a sample:

Date & time compound type number/duration/flight (Kb) cost (£)

I know it's only a few cents, but these are adding up to several pounds.

My texts are appearing as free, they should be. I have 300/600 free texts.

And I never have to make a phone call!

I have a text or use BBM.

It's just something I've noticed since a few days, but according to my history on my Orange account, it has been like that for a few weeks.

I contacted the customer service yesterday and I was told I have the data plan, £5 per month turns off my credit, even though I really didn't remember have a post about that for some time now.

So, Yes, why am I being charged, it is not free or...?

    I'm a little confused tbh!

    Thank you

    * Edit: And by train type the message, an another 2 p disappeared...: s

    Hiya!

Is this a real Blackberry data plan?  Do you have set up email on your device? BBM don't usually costs people money as it is usually charged on the data, but it is not exactly 'free. '

Your device automatically 'polls' e-mail about every 15 minutes. IM (such as BBM) also require the transfer of data.

I would like to ask your carrier the details of your "data plan" mainly because your billing details are indicating the costs of data pay per use.

GPRS General Packet Radio Service means:

An initiative of GSM to provide packet data services high speed for mobile devices. GPRS allows multiple users to share the same channel and allows users to virtually "one line" of all time; radio resources are only used when the data is actually transmitted or received.

In a Word session GPRS prepaid means that your data at a rate of ppu charged.

Please call your carrier for more details.

You should try to reinstall by deleting the list of applications, then re download it from the homepage of the blackberry.

    You can double-check with Jsanders.

    Agreed.

I would say this: use your BlackBerry Messenger feature to back up your contacts, you have now, and also, do a full backup using the Desktop Manager. (Cela by pressing the Menu key > Switch Application and find the icon in the BBM Ribbon bar).

Then, go to Options > Applications and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/messenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

You can restore your contacts from the application of v.5 BBM or from Office Manager > Backup/Restore > advanced.

If the vendor ID and the model number is compatible with your network of selected carriers, then maybe Yes. Each carrier supports only a subset of all the BB model numbers... If your model number is not natively supported on their network for automatic filling of HRT and delivery of service book, it does not automatically work on their network. If the device they offer you is compatible, then it should work. Of course, no one can really predict the outcome for your particular situation.
