BlackBerry smartphones combine Messages

New BB user here.  Can someone explain the concept to reconcile messages?  I can't find any kind of explanation in the field of aid.  So far, I have just install an e-mail account vzw.blackberry.net for use on the Storm so I think the function of reconciliation do not apply to this configuration.  It is intended only for Inbox sync'ing between the storm and an e-mail account on my computer?  If so, should only perform this synchronization when it is connected to the computer via a USB cable or a Bluetooth connection or it syncs somehow on the cellular network?

Any info or links would be appreciated.

Yes.

And a corporate BES system is the best and most complete to reconcile messages.

A personal account of BIS makes the least of reconciliation. Using an IMAP account is to reconcile the most complete recommended for your e-mail server, on BIS. The question is complicted even more if you reconciled with your Office Outlook.

Thus, your questions are answered better if you can explain your exact configuration.

There is a person in my contacts that I can not text. Still, he comes up with a x red and says "transfer short message rejected". The person can still text me, however, and I have no trouble calling the number. It only occurs with this contact.

I tried to delete the contact and re - add, take out battery and sim card, but it does not work.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi fireflyfishing

Make sure that when you create the contact on your BlackBerry® smartphone, that their mobile phone number includes the area code.  Most providers require that the code is used when sending SMS messages.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

Also is there anyway to stop receiving messages "called" in my Inbox on my pc? whenever I have a message from my blackberry the confirmation message "delivered" appears in my Inbox on my pc.

    Thanks in advance,

Wow... it sounds as if you have an old configuration of GMail in BIS... see this article:

    • KB10332 Duplicate sent email message arrives on the BlackBerry smartphone when sent using a built-in Gmail account

This problem was actually fixed several months ago... If you configure your GMail account to provide IMAP and then delete and recreate your conduit BIS, it shouldn't be a problem. There are all kinds of improvements through the last sheet of GMail in (I have not tried, btw - I use the application add-on GMail rather than BIS for my GMail accounts).

With respect to the acknowledgement of receipt that you get - you must go to the configuration of your BB Messages and which turns off:

    • Home screen > Messages > BBKey > Options > e-mail settings > (choose the GMail account if you have several) > delivery confirm > set on no.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones synchronization messages deleted

My boss has a Blackberry attached to his desktop computer and I have full access to his e-mails.  If she removes the emails from his desktop computer and then they disappear from his Blackberry, but if I delete an email from him in my computer box, ir remains on his Blackberry.

However, if I drag the enamel removed from my Inbox deleted the box removed, then it deletes the e-mail on his Blackberry and his office computer, but it is a heavy means time to process spam and other garbage e-mails (and I know that I remember to do all the time!).

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hey Joneedshelp,

When a delegate removes any element of the box of a BlackBerry smartphone user mailbox, the deleted item is sent to your deleted items folder. Because the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is designed only to synchronize with records of the BlackBerry smartphone user's mailbox, the deleted item is interpreted as missing. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server does not remove an article from the BlackBerry smartphone, unless this element appears in the items deleted in the mailbox when the synchronization folder. You can change your Outlook client for when you remove items from the mailbox to the owners stay in their deleted items folder and they are not being moved to your mailbox. Support blackBerry does not recommend or support this work around, because it requires editing the registry. The Microsoft KB is 202517 and can be found on the microsoft support site. Please don't forget to take precautions normal according to the guidelines from Microsoft if you are planning changes to the registry.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones combining SMS messages in mail

I just moved to a Curve 8900 for a 9000 "BOLD". On the curve, all messages - e-mail, SMS, MMS, etc - were listed in the Messages folder.  On the "BOLD", email and SMS/MMS appear in two separate folders.  Is there a way for all types of messages appear in the Messages (or am I just not yet familiar with the "BOLD")?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

It is an option, with any message list, click on the BBKey and select Options > General Options. One of the items will be "SMS and email Inboxes"... set it as you wish.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones (1) Message icon at the top of the phone?

My wife has the message at the top of his phone icon and I can't make it go away?  It shows one (1) next to his email, (1) in his messages icon, but there is nothing there?  His email and SMS/MMS is combined, I tried to separate them, but still can not find it.  I checked the saved messages also.  He drives her crazy seeing her here and not see a message.  Can you help me?

In my view, that's a little dramatic, there are several things to do or check first, a reset to factory settings:

    Try these options:

    * Hard Reset BlackBerry by holding ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or removing and reinserting the battery)

    Messages > saved Messages

Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)

    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date

Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)

    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones combine SMS inbox, outbox, sent and draft records

I have a Blackberry 8700.  For some reason, when I click on the messages icon, it says * no. Messages * and I have to click the display folder to display the Inbox folder and the Recycle Bin separately.  Already when I clicked on the messages icon, it took me to a screen with all my SMS messages (Inbox, Outbox, sent, drafts).  I clicked on options and made sure "Hide sent messages" were unsuccessful and it is not.  Can you tell me how to get the screen SMS combined upward?  Thank you.

I don't know why. But let's try to get it back.

To do this: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • Went blackBerry Smartphones text Message icon

    Device: Blackberry Style 9670 (6.0 bundle 864 v6.0.0.0.286 platform 4.4.0.186)

    Carrier: Telus Mobility

My 'text' icon disappeared recently in the menu "All".  Apparently, it was replaced by a second 'contacts' icon  Fortunately I got it in the "Favorites" menu as well, so I can still access them.  However, it is annoying to have to return to the Favorites menu just to read a text message.

I have since put it so text messages go to the Inbox of General messages, but I would have preferred to return the icon.  I tried to pull the battery nothing works.  Any suggestions?

OK, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now see if this icon corrects itself, since you think it could have "transformed into" bad one.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email Message on my new phone BlackBerry, Please Help.

Yesterday, I bought a new Blackberry Bold 9930 of Verizon Wireless.  The seller put in place my personal e-mail account and everything seems to work very well.  But I got two e-mail messages which I can't understand.  They read: "this message is used to carry data between your BlackBerry handheld and a home server.  Please do not delete, move, or reply to this message - it will be processed by the server.  He was sent to [email protected] etc...

I received a subsequent message that reads "inscription: handheld has been registered by the wireless network.

Can it be it someone please tell me how long I have to keep this message in my mailbox the Pocket before it can be deleted, despite what he says?  In addition, no one knows if the second message on 'Registration' means I can delete these messages?  I thank very you much for all the advice.
