  Try the following to force Windows Media Player to rebuild the library database.

  A handy utility to view all the files on your PC is called Commander free of charge, on the link below, because it displays the files that the operating system normally hides and has a search function.

  It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip , which can be used to open it so that you can run the Setup program.

  Make sure that Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center are closed.

  Launch free Commander, double-click users, double-click on 'your username', double-click local settings, double-click Application Data, double-click Microsoft and double-click Media Player.  Delete all files with the extension .wmdb - do not delete all the files.

  Close the free Commander and open Windows Media Player - it will now start to rebuild the database of library which can take some time, but when it has finished you should see that you already deleted the files are no longer listed here.

The software shows the map of media in areas of device options and shows how it is free.   I also see the image files using folder in my windows management areas, but of course it is not good to copy on my PC directly because they are encrypted and cannot be opened.

  Ahhhhh... Yes, a policy IT (which would have been my next guess, I promise you! ). If this is the case, then you need to talk to them and these KB may apply:

  • KB11963 How do I change the setting for the Protection of the content on the BlackBerry smartphone

  It can be much more than the it policy is limit exactly what you are trying to (copy to the PC things of the BB). You should probably talk to them before being certain of what they block, and that they do not block.

  Please restart the phone by removing and placing the battery back while the unit is on. This process has fixed application inside modules without losing any stored data. Let us know if you still have the files after that.

  The backup only stores on your address databases for example, book, calendar, profile settings, sms, etc. It does not store images or applications.   Hi there I recently got the new blackberry curve 8330.  And im very disappointed by the fact that I can't send the txts photo or video.  My sister is on the network roger and there all phones come with the mms application and they can send txts pic and vid. They can also type more then 140 characters when they are txting and not cut. How is it, telus dosnt allow these fetures? And do I feel like I got ripped off here

  The last one I read today, is that Telus has no ability MMS on the BlackBerry. Why, I don't know, it's their blocks, not the BlackBerry.

  I've loaded about 3 000 songs on my Javelin and trimmed them up to about 1,000 of my absolute favorites. I tried to transfer to my computer in two ways... with Fund Manager and let XP do the work... but deleted music always comes again!

  If your music is on a media card, use Windows Explorer to view its contents and to view system and hidden files.

  In each case, you will see a file named BBThumbs.dat. It's the indexing file, which contains information about the deleted files still. Just delete all the BBThumbs.dat files.

  After unplugging the computer, when you enter the multimedia application, it will start again every 1000 remaining files from indexing. It may take some time but will end after a few minutes.
