BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail settings

I can't enter in the e-mail settings. I get the following message "your device has encountered a problem with the server of this application." I did a reboot of the battery twice. I'm under OS.99 now and my mail is earler work today. Does anyone else have this problem?

I just got the phone with VZW. BIS is down, RIM took notice, no ETA.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail settings disappeared!

    Hello

I recently updated my BB to a 8300 with a 8900. I used the switch device Wizard in Fund Manager to transfer my contacts, settings and accounts for my new camera. Everything works well except I can't send pictures from a sky.com email account I set up on the phone. It was never a problem on my old camera.

My problem is when I go to Settings / Setup Wizard / Configuration of email, there is no option to create or add an email account. Only the possibility of using a professional email with an Enterprise Server account. And there is no shortcut to the e-mail settings in the setup folder.

I assume that this is because the account was transferred from my old camera and not put in place on this one. I guess only this!

Is there a way to either reset the device to factory settings so I can start over? or y at - it a simple answer, I'm on?

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thank you very much

    1. confirm that you did change your carrier BIS account to enter the new PIN and IMEI code so that your BIS account is directed to this new device.

    2. If you have done the above, then do it now:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart

You should see the icon of personal email configuration appear.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail settings will not open

I was out of my service area of AT & T for the weekend and not allowed access to a 3 G network.  When I came back, my e-mail folders does not open and the screen freezes.  Is the only way to exit the screen to reset, but the e-mail folders will still not open.  Any helpful thoughts?

    Hello!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact ATT to formal support.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Bold9700 e-mail settings

    Hi all

I need to know if the (Blackberry 9700) phone will download previous (old) e-mail when you set up a Yahoo mailbox, either manually or through the Blackberry ID or it will begin to receive messages from the moment where the account has been set up?

I know Yahoo is not an Exchange mailbox so it shouldn't get old messages, right?

As much I know Blackberry ID saves only the mailbox, not the emails content settings, right?

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Your assumptions are almost correct.

By default, BBs start to receive only nine points from the time of the integration of this email account for the BB... old items that are in the mailbox of the server are not translated to the BB. This in fact is true also for BES... Although there are a few tricks that can be done with BES (pre-population of) who can bring a few old items email a BB, but not all (unless "all the" elements within the period of pre-population of). But for your Yahoo, old items will not be brought to your BB.

As a further clarification, your BB ID technically does not maintain anything on your email configurations. Instead, it maintains a link with your BIS account, that is which contains your email credentials. But you're right in that BIS maintains that your e-mail settings, but not the contents of the mailbox.

    Good luck!

  • For the blackBerry Smartphones Reset network settings

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reset the network settings on a Blackberry Curve 8520, I can find on how to do a complete reset but not a network reset. Your would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mails from gmail is not on Blackberry

Because I had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" my correspondence email business to my gmail account, I had rather used as a backup before. I had both my accounts put in place on my blackberry and I remember them both increased and works well, but I cannot say with certainty that I have rarely received emails on gmail.

The problems I have now (I had also, at the same time re - configure my blackberry, but everything should be ok now) is that the gmail account is not working properly after the installation. At first, it seemed to work pretty well, but now it's extremely erratic, at best, with a few emails that crosses and their reception by the blackberry, not at all and if yes with a delay of up to a few days (!).
This makes the combination of my now main mail to gmail account and my blackberry on which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the House completely unusable.

I have heard and read (even if for the most part in internet posts that are a few years old) it seems to be a problem running with gmail and blackberry accounts. Is - this irreparable?

    Is there a solution?

If all else fails, use a new account (new) would be the only alternative left - which would be a messaging provider that matches 100% with the blackberry e-mail program?

    Thank you very much!

In addition, with GMail, you must be sure to have a good setting inside GMail. Via PC/browser, you control what GMail is facing the internet for your account (POP, IMAP, or both). I always recommend that you turn OFF POP and turn on IMAP in Gmail. Then set up fresh for your BB and you will have the 'best' available (IMHO) settings for GMail.

Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support. What you describe certainly shouldn't happen on a regular basis (even if we must all accept the intermittent nature of everything on the internet).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, restore default settings

How to restore the default settings and delete all personal information (e.g.: calendar, contacts, etc.) of my BB Bold 9650?

Read this article from RIM's Knowledge Base to reset your device to factory settings.
KB18998 How to reset a factory default BlackBerry smartphone

You can also go to Options > Security > Security wipe and follow the prompts to remove all personal information from the device.

I would like to do both if you get rid of the unit, sales, etc.

But, just for the heck of it, I also want to make a backup of the first, using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

  • BlackBerry smartphones remove security settings of 8820 without access to PC

I recently acquired a 8820, but I can't remove the security settings.  I'm currntly do not have access to a PC to connect the device to.  is there a way to delete the settings?  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Exactly what 'security settings' you are asking about? Only these words, there are a lot of possibilities...

My guess - if your BB has a policy due to have been associated with a BES environment

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

and if you want that political removed, then see this KB:

    • KB14202 How to remove a policy from IT to a BlackBerry smartphone

You will notice that methods 1, 2 and 3 require the admin BES to do something... If you are no longer associated with the BES, then these methods do not work, which leaves... method 4 not requiring connection to a PC.

On the other hand, if I guessed wrong, then please specify exactly what 'Security Settings' you're curious about.

  • Why is the main Menu on the BB Desktop Manager BlackBerry Smartphones lack email settings?

The image on the screen for the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, as described in the User Guide, shows six options on the main Menu.  On my BlackBerry Storm 9530 Verizon, when I go to BB Desktop Manager (4.7), I see only five options.  One that is missing on my device's e-mail settings.

    Anyone know why?

This icon appears only if you have installed using the BlackBerry Enterprise/redirector option during installation. If you have installed using the Internet Service so you don't get the e-mail settings icon.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail synchronization - problems sending/reception of the BB and Hotmail emails

Emails sent from the computer using Hotmail do not appear in the BlackBerry smartphone. However, e-mails sent using BlackBerry device appears in the device as well as in Hotmail and the same is true for all incoming mail. The only question is sent with mail from Hotmail, which items do not appear in the device. I tried options email reconciliation, but the problem persists.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones E-mail; cannot add, remove or reactivate after Application of the updated kernel

I've recently updated the basic software on my 9800.  The version is now 6.0.0.668, bundle 2949.  When I go into the configuration of email, since the update I have received no email, I'm presented with a list of e-mail addresses that I used in the past on the device and asks me to check the passwords for the accounts.  However, when I put a password for one of the accounts I always get the same answer "I'm sorry, impossible to continue your session.  Please log in again "."  It's always the answer be an account POP3, IMAP or webmail.

I checked the help file and suggests it would add and remove options from the menu, but all that is available are App Switch, help and Close.  I have also reviewed a number of backups, but have not any possibility to restore the e-mail settings.

Can anyone suggest a short action plan to restore to the factory settings?

Call your carrier and request access to its site of BIS online self-service. Everything you want to do with your email accounts can be done from there.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9900 e-mail settings

    Hi all.

Maybe someone knows how I can download all the messages in my Inbox?

I got the new blackberry 9900 and I registered 2 our mail, but I get only new messages.

I want to download all of my emails for 3 years.

    Is this true?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones UK - mail and Windows Live Messanger

    Hello

My first post here, but I got my BB a while, just never got roud to juggle with it and try to get the apps I want. First and foremost I want to mail and Windows Live Messanger for IMs, addressing Phones4U where I got my contract, they said I need to buy their email Plan to access Emails 'push' (at the moment I don't have an option for setting up my own email addresses). Just to confirm that this is true, if yes it would probably be more easy for me to buy just the increased data plan and access e-mail through hotmail.com (I don't sent them that much).

However, I use MSN a lot. I tried to download AppsStore, I tried going to www.blackberry.com/messenger, and I tried to download from my PC via my USB wire into the phone. Every time that he told me that I meet the system requirements. When I go to 'About' on my BB it says I have a BB 8900 smartphone v4.6.1.76 (Platform 4.2.0.62) and my status says I have 112 mb of available storage.

Y at - it something I am doing wrong? Should I be on a payment plan to access the app store? In addition, with MSN it charges you? I have unlimited SMS with my payment plan, but I should also use internet data extended as well?

    See you soon,.

    Alex

Well, I know not what you mean by 'web n 'walk', but if you have no data plan and browse internet strictly via WiFi, so I think that you actually fail condition 4. If I am correctly Recalling, AppWorld must flow through a data plan as well as the income of everyone in the data stream (developer, Distributor, carrier, RIM, etc) can all be properly credited for sale (Yes, I know that some are free - but it's a sale nonetheless).

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones disabling protection settings on BB BOLD 9700 after creating a corporate Email account

    Hello

I have a problem to restore the factory setting for my blackberry.

I followed the instructions from KB18988 and it worked for everything, but the security settings.

Actually, my phone is still blocked by a password, and I can't remove password options as it is marked with a locked door icon.

Some applications like facebook, have limited features and some does not at all, as KOBO.

This "unremovable security settings" came when I activated my business account through the Blackberry Desktop Software.

Now, I don't want to go back and remove it.

    I already tried several options:

    KB18988

    Application safe clean (wipe)

Get off at the first version of the firmware

    Reinstall the desktop software

Still my phone is locked. I plan to sell to buy a torch, but I can't sell it as it is.

In fact, I tried from another computer than the one that I have synced my business account of.

Any suggestions? Please help, thanks in advance.
