BlackBerry Smartphones EDGE instead of edge

Can I trick my device and use EDGE instead of edge without data plan (I have all the required service books), so I can use wifi for the services of blackberry such as facebook, twitter and internet browsing (no BBM, or e-mail). I used to do that when I had no credit and the service has been temporarily closed I could use wifi for those services as he displayed on BOARD but he stops only in this way when I have no credit, but when I have credit ceases to be on board.
WHAT I CAN?

No way to trick to use EDGE.

I bought my BB "BOLD" a couple of days. I noticed that the keyboard is not AZERTY but it's QWERTZ (letters Y and Z are switched), if you type Y, you have to run down to the bottom left of the keyboard and press on Y marked key and type Z, you must use the key between T and U, which is marked in Z. I checked BB site and found the "BOLD" to be QWERTY. I haven't called the store where I got the unit to ask why. in any case, is there anyone here who have the same problem on BBB? Rest works fine.

I'm not aware immediately, but when I use the unit 3 hours later for example the battery is almost all gone and the unit is warmer than usual. It is rather annoying because I don't know when it will happen again. The only email account, I have installed is a Hotmail account and it goes as well with wifi on and outside. We should always try to close Applications correctly - avoid using key end to close the applications because it just minimizes the application and let it run in the background. Instead, press the Menu key, select close or Exit to exit the application. Don't let your browser open when not in use. N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

That's what I set my phone freeze (9860). By JSanders.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

BlackBerry Device Operating System downloads: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blackberry-device-specific/
Simply select the model of the device in the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.
